Does the job
I bought this air purifier for my 9' x 10' office. I leave it running in quiet mode 24/7, and it has substantially reduced the amount of dust in my office. Ordinarily a layer of dust would accumulate over a weekend, but with this purifier there is none.

This unit is actually quiet in "quiet mode"--it is unobtrusive in my office, and I believe that I would have no problem sleeping with this on at home. The middle and high fan settings, however, are intolerable. I only use these settings when I'm away from the office for lunch etc. for some extra cleaning while I'm out.

I'm not sure what those expensive air purifiers do that this one does not--I mean, they're all just a fan and a filter, right? Overall, I'm pleased with this purcase.

What a wonder!
If you've ever been told to use a humidifier, you know how many there are to chose from!I have tried about 10 over the past 10 winters!Until this one, all were noisey, got musty or I was unable to replace the filter becasue it had been discontinued!This one is so quiet, stays fresh and works magic on my allergies!The best is that the filters are easy to get and just come in one size!No more trying to remember the model number or anything!

Vornado Vortex Humidifier
I have owned many Vornado products in the past (and still have ALL of them). These folks make the very best air moving machines in the world.
The humidifier is silent and does several rooms with no problem. It is easy to fill and has not caused a great deal of white dust as my old humidifier did.
I am convinced that Vornado is a brand you can trust to deliver on any promises they make.
Very very satisfied with the product-and recommend it highly.

Good in use humidifier, filter won't last long.
Okay, this humidifier is good as all previous reviewer said.But one thing is deceptive about this humidifier.Manufacture claim that filter will sustain its use during 60 to 90 days.How come?I had my filter for 15 days and it begin to smell a little.Of course, you can use some water treatment solutions with your water and I guess this will prolong life of your humidifier to say 25 days.But I wouldn't imagine it last for more than 30 days.Of course, everyone has different water in their home, but it seems to me Manufacture used totally distilled without any impurities or mineral content water, in order, to claim one filter to work for a such long time.One more thing, if your house have some smells, they will somewhat diminish, but your filter will be smelling funny faster than usual.So, I think, in one sense, this filter acts as a cleaner of your surrounding air as well.In any case, I bought two of them (humidifiers) some extra filters and I am happy with it.

Good but not quiet
I bought two of these because the reviewers here gave it good marks and downplayed the noise it made.This product is easy to assemble and clean.Filling the water chamber is very easy compared to other humidifiers I have used.To me it is the best feature.My main gripe is with the noise it makes.First of all, the fan is not as quiet as I had hoped.There are three fan speeds, but the lowest speed is the only one that has an acceptable sound level at night.The higher two are only useful during the day when it can be drowned out by other household noises.To make matters worse, every 2 hours or so, this humidifier makes a series of loud GULPs as the water from the tank drains into the humidifier base.Based on the reviews I read here, I didn't think it would be a problem because I am a heavy sleeper, so I was suprised that the GULPing noise wakes me up at night.

This is a fine product for the daytime, but for nighttime/sleeptime, I wish I had purchased something else.

Good, but noisy
I researched for a long time before I purchased a humidifier for our bedroom.I chose the Vornado for its good reviews and well-known name.While the Vornado is quiet while spewing out the cool mist, it makes an INCREDIBLY LOUD KNOCKING SOUND many times (at least 4) during the average 8-hour night while the water gulps down from the water chamber into the body of the humidifier.IF YOU ARE a deep sleeper, or not bothered by loud knocking sounds, then this is the perfect humidifier for you.However, if you are a light sleeper, like I am, keep searching or wear ear plugs.I am literally woken up in my sleep by the knocking/gulping sound; my husband, who is a very sound sleeper, was awaken one night by the sound, got out of bed, and went to the door half asleep thinking that one of our children were knocking on it.On a positive note, the water chamber is easy to fill and replace, as are the wicks.All parts are very easy to clean.And it does "humidify" the room quite nicely.It is just very loud and I would not buy another Vornado for that reason alone. ... Very Loud + Little Purification = No Recommend
The only reason I gave this product two stars is because it worked better than having nothing at all.I am very allergic to my wife's dog which brings about asthma attacks so I originaly bought the Biozone 3000w and it worked like a charm.Unfortunatly it was just to strong for the bedroom, but very quiet (it is rated for a minimum of 500 feet, so in the 200sqft bedroom it smells a little like bleech) so it now easily purifies the rest of the house all day long.I read some good things about this product from Surrond Air and thought I would give it a try.First of all it was very very loud, I was ok with that because I have slept through earthquakes, my wife also falls asleep easily.The problem is that it does not work.I put the biozone back in the room after trying this product for three weeks and I am sleeping well again!

I have been using the Multitech for over two months now, having used only Bionaire products before, and I am very satisfied.The unit is clearly cleansing the air as advertised, and I get very satisfactory airflow (especially on Maximum setting).(I wonder if those users who complained about the Airflow had not read the instructions and removed the tear-off flap from the filter-cartridge before turning the unit on!?)Look people: it's NOT a Fan; it won't blast air out like a wind tunnel.What it does is a thorough job of cleaning and filtering, and unlike other ionizer/filters, it actually kills germs and mold with ultraviolet light as well.I strongly recommend this unit.

OK for small spaces
I could find one of the most important info about this product only on the side of its box. This device is rated at 71CFM at (probably) the max speed for the fan, which translates into about 20m complete air recycle for a room of just 15 by 10 by 9.
At max speed, the unit is too noisy to be left on in a small bedroom.
The ozone/filter does a good job with odors in relatively small kitchens, and the built-in timer is quite handy.

Update: After about 3 months of use, the fan control burned out, filling the room with an acrid smell.

Update: Received replacement unit. One of the clips holding the front panel is broken off, and unlike the previous unit, turning the ionizer on does not produce any "ozone smell" (meaning is probably broken). I wish I could change my rating to 2 stars.

Wonderful Product
I bought this purifier due to all it's features.I have severe allergies and wanted a purifier/sanitizer that would work. I tried the Sharper Image Ionic Breeze (worthless junk...dogoogle search and look at all the reports on it) it it didn't do anything.
I do agree that this unit needs a stronger fan but that doesn't mean it wont purifier the air.I let this run in my friends house who has a black lab (that I'm severly allergic too) and within 1 hour, you couldn't even smell that "dog smell" and I could breathe just fine.Since I could breathe without using my inhaler, I new the air was getting filtered.Since the smell was gone, the sanitizer feature was working great.
I also used it for a poker party I had with cigar smokers.No it didn't clear the smoke and the smell instantly, but by the next morning, there was no smoke and not a hint of cigar smell in the air!It works just as it says and I recomend it highly.
I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I do agree that it needs a stronger fan but it works just as they say.

Don't recommend, period!
Bought three of these based on reviews from their own website. Should have known better. My air conditioner filters more particulate. The filter intake barely could hold a tissue in place, so you can tell there is really not much volume passing through. Go with a better known brand. Best way to get rid of ear wax!!
I believe this ear wax product is the best on the market. You can not find a better product for a betterprice. I use it all the time, it is amazing. I would highly recommend it to anyone with dirty ears.

Austria's Pharmacutical Advice.
September 20th I traveled to Europe for an extended trip. I was in Innsbruck Austria enjoying the beautiful sights. Excellent
I just moved into a new place.My spare bathroom had a smell in it that I could not figure out for weeks.I reached out and bought this breezer for that reason and the next day the smell was absolutely gone.I think it was from an awefull smelling paint etc....I can't believe it got rid of the smell.I would recommend this product to sustain that fresh smell and get air clean where needed.It works.

Works well... up to a certain limit.
I basically used it instead of a Quadra to clean up household dust, cat litter dust, odors, and smoke from a couple smokers.(The blades got coated in tan gunk from pipe smoke that I'm glad didn't end up in my lungs.)I moved it from room to room.It worked great for about a year and a half before the poor thing just gave out.The light worked, but it stopped producing a "breeze."Since then, everything in the house has become coated in a layer of dust, and I frequently have bouts of sneezing in the morning.Time to get a new one.

safe air purifier
Been using one for last 3 years. Abselutely no safety problems. Good, efficient air purifier. plus, bathroom cleaner actually does work. No need to throw it away.

Save on bathroom freshener
I purchased my product through Sharper Image Outlet with was about the same price on this website. For my Manhattan bathroom it seems to work pretty well in the bathroom. The collection rods also pick up a good amount of that black soot that is in the air and that's only after a week. I use the larger quadra one for my apartment and it is near the cat litter too. Also does an excellent job cleanser the air of odors and debris. However, if you are a smoker or light candles you'll need to clean it much more frequently. Also cleaning it at least in Manhattan you'll need to use some soap and water or Windex.

Don't buy this !!!!!!!
I recently purchased 2 ionic breeze quadra's which came with this product for free.I had them for 1 week and returned them all, but they let me keep this thing (which i threw away after leaving the sharper image store).I was sucked in by the fancy TV commercials and hype, but don't let it happen to you.Not only has this product been tested and proven to be useless as an air purifier.It releases ozone into the air (which the manual describes as a clean mountain air smell), though it claims to be a "safe" amount of this toxic gas that it produces. some consumer reports show that in certain cases it releases more than they indicate even when used as directed.

To sum it up, it doesn't clean air and releases toxic gas.but don't take my word for it, look up some consumer reports on google. ... Read more

Don't be skeptical! It works!
Let me start out by saying that I have chronic sinus problems.A few years ago after being in and out of the doctor's office for antibiotics for one sinus infection after another my doctor recommended this item to me and told me to go out and buy a waterpik.You simply attachment it to the waterpik, add a salt solution (my physician told me to use pickling salt, one teaspoon of salt to 27oz.(800cc) of water). Be careful TOO MUCH SALT BURNS.You can adjust the water pressure first. Get a steady stream going, then turn it off and place the irrigator tip in one nostril (It's too large to go in all the way).Hold it firmly in place and turn the waterpik back on and let the salt water clean out you sinus's.It feels really good, it helps you to breathe better and it claims to help heal your sinus's without drugs.They recommend daily use.Recently when feeling a sinus infection coming on I pulled out my trusty waterpik and nasal irrigator and went to work.Let me just say I didn't have to end up going to the doctor this time.For people who suffer with continual sinus problems this item and a waterpik is a must.I'm not sure but I think they even make a solution already mixed for people on the go.I have to say it's kind of geeky but it works. Hope this helps someone.

Clears everything out
This is a pretty neat item.I use it when there is a lot of junk in my sinuses after a cold. I thought I would feel like I was drowning before trying it, but it is not bad at all. My scaredy cat daughter even used it with no problem. If you have sinuses problems it is worth a try.

Great Buy!!!!
I bought this about a half a year ago and have never looked back; This was one of the greatest purchasers I have made. I am from the south were it is dusty, hot, and muggy. This porduct has faced the toughest conditions and has come out victorious on the end. i dont know why other people have given this a bad review. This dehumidifer is much quieter than most others and most importantly, doe swhat its supposed to . not to mention this classy design. It fits easily into any room in my house and i serves many purposes. I reccomend this to any especially with pets or allergies.

Looks nice but poor quality control
The first DeLonghi 30-pint unit I received from Amazon looked great but did not function properly; the cooling unit that removes water from the air didn't work.I returned the unit for an exchange.(Amazon gets five stars for their excellent return process).The second unit arrived in good condition and worked for about 2 minutes before the compressor in the cooling unit stopped, never to start again.I tested the unit in an 80 degree bathroom at 100 percent humidity and it did not remove a drop of water from the air.The literature with the unit does not provide any help on this type of malfunction, but does give a Web site address (www.delonghi.com).The Web site had great graphics but no useful information.A note to the company asking if there was any way to solve the problem elicited a recommendation to return the unit.

The DDH30 dehumidifier appears well-made in other respects, but clearly there is a quality control problem with the refrigeration unit, or it is easily damaged during shipment.It appears impossible for a homeowner to open the unit to do any minor repairs, so the only alternative is to return units that don't work.An electrical schematic is located behind the removable water bucket, but isn't very helpful because there isn't any easy way to access the unit's innards.I notice that the controls for the DDH30 are more primitive than the larger models.Perhaps those more sophisticated units are more reliable, but I'm not taking the chance...
