I LoVE THESETHINGS!
Okay, I know and have heard it a thousand times "don't put them in your ears."

But I love doing it. It feels so awesome and clean and personal.

Now there is one issue to really be careful about, and that is this: I used to surf alot,
and all of a sudden I started to feel like I had water in my ears all the time.

It was so bad that I went to a doctor to check up on it. He told me that I had
scraped away all the protective wax inside my ear canal, and that's why my ears
were getting saturated with water. He advised me to back off on the amount of
times I used the qtips inside my ears. I did, and the condition went away, and
everything returned to normal, which it still is to this day many years later.

The key is that you can't use them in your ears too often, or else you scrape away
the way. I AM NOT ADVISING ANYONE TO STICK THESE IN THEIR EARS!!!
BUT, if you do it, don't do it too much.

Great product for a zillion years...
There's a reason why these guys have been around for years.Their quality and price have made them the best value there is for cotton swabs.They do the job, however interesting that that may be, and come back for more.They're indispensable if you have a baby or young children, but they grow with you into adulthood as well.There's some things you shouldn't buy the generic and this is one of them.They've been around for years and for good reason - they're great!

Gettin' on the 'tip...
Good God-- you know you've hit the bottom of the barrel as an Amazon customer reviewer when you're inspired to write a review for Q-Tips ! In my case, the inspiration struck during my last trip to the can... which was just a short while ago as of this writing, BTW. Yep, I was just sittin' there doin' my... er, thing... when I noticed the blue box of double-tipped cotton swaps peekin' out of the far corner of the medicine cabinet. I stared at the thing for a good ten seconds, all the while thinkin' about what I'd say about the product. After mappin' it all out I got my business over with, washed my hands, and rushed to my word processor to type up the following commentary:

While just about everybody have discovered the earwax removing properties ofQ-Tips (don't forget to observe the "Don't go into the ear canal" rule, please), I've also found them useful for forcing sneezes to help clear out a runny nose & stuffed-up sinuses. And yes, I am aware that I'm likely risking some kind of physical damage by doin' this, which is why I recommend you NOT try it! The last thing I need is to be sued by some yutz who tried to get himself to sneeze with a Q-Tip and hurt himself!

With the assistance of rubbing alcohol, Q-Tips are also pretty good for cleanin' out an "innie" (a rubbing alcohol-covered cotton ball would be a better option if your "innie" is particularly cavernous), removing collected food & dandruff deposits from those hard-to-reach recesses of a computer keyboard, and gettin' those last few specks of crud off the rollers inside a computer mouse. Please note, however, that rubbing alcohol gradually dissolves the stuff that holds the cotton to the swab stick, so you'd better have a decent handful at the ready for those extensive computer peripheral cleanups...

A MULTI-PURPOSE LITTLE COTTON SWAB...
If one wants cotton swabs that are made with a hundred percent pure cotton and have more soft cotton at the tip than any other brand, then this is the cotton swab one wants. With five hundred of these little things at one's disposal, they will last for a considerable length of time.

These cotton swabs are ideal for a number of uses. While the most common and popular use consists of sticking it in one's ears and giving the Q-tip a twirl in an attempt to clean them, one should be mindful that they are not designed to enter one's ear canal. In fact , the manufacturer cautions the buyer to only gently swab around the outer surface of the ears, if the swabs are used to clean ears.

Still,there are many other uses. In my household, these cotton swabs are often used for applying eye shadow, as well. I also used it when polishing furniture. If one has furniture that has carving, which is notorious for attracting dust and dirt in tight spots, dipping these handy, dandy little cotton swabs in lemon oil and then applying the soaked swab to those pesky little nooks and crannies, inherent in any carved piece, will remove that otherwise hard to reach dust, dirt, and grime.

Anyway, at this price one should not hesitate to buy these multi-purpose cotton swabs, as they are a good value and guaranteed to give the buyer a lot of bang for one's buck.

An audiophile archaelogist's dream
Truly, these q-tips have to be one of the greatest wonders of the 20th century. You just stick it in the ear and dig through, much like the special drilling machines dug their way to make the Chunnelbetween France and England. The tips are soft and the sticks are flexible allowing for extra precision when you can't quite reach for the holy of holies. Expereinced users have been known to derive much pleasure out of these tips and even excavated so much cerumen as that it was able to determine their age by the color graduations. They surely are superior to the arms of your eyeglasses' frame or your trusty old Black & Decker drill. Only trouble is, when your wife will ask you to take out the garbage, set the table or perform one of countless chores that wives want their husbands to do, you won't be able to say "What?!!!?...I can't hear you" anymore. For outer ear cleaning, and many, many other things
Q-Tips have been around for as long as I can remember. They were designed for cleaning the OUTER surfaces of the ear, and are not to be used to clean the ear canal.

Whatever they were designed for, Q-Tips have probably been used in dozens, if not hundreds, of other ways. They are ideal for cleaning any small area. One example: add a few drops of lighter fluid, and you can clean out the tracks of sliding windows. I've tried several other cotton swab brands, but they just don't hold up as well.I had said cleaning any small area, but, of course, I meant any small area EXCEPT the ear canal.

Very skeptical
I am intrigued by the existence of products in the US claiming to be hoodia, when officially licensed hoodia gordonii supplements will not be on the market for years.Hoodia gordonii is the particular variety of the hoodia cactus that contains the patented molecule that supposedly is the active ingredient.A UK pharmco licensed the molecule back in 1998 and is still refining it in order to commercialize it (think 2008).Any products sold containing hoodia and marketed for weight loss are in violation of the patent.The way people "get around" this is by not actually including the active ingredient in the product, as though that's ethical.Others include hoodia but not h. gordonii.Bottom line is, this product should not exist.

Taking third bottle
Hello,

Firstly I would like to say that I find alot of these reviewers who claim it's a miracle a bit "dodgy". However, I am on my third bottle of Hoodoba and I plan to keep on taking it.

I would say that ithas cut my appetite by about 50%..which is alot! But it is not going to work for you if you don't change your eating habits and exercise.

I give it 4 stars for doing what it says it will: cutting appetite significantly.

I have tried so many diets in the past 6 years. I've tried Slim-Fast, Dexatrim, Atkins, phen/fen, Weight Watchers, South Beach Diet, rice diet, cortislim and more. Very subtle effect, at best
I used this product for two weeks and only noticed a very subtle difference in my hunger.I did not lose any weight.I think that the slight effect I did feel was from drinking 16-32 ounces of water every time I took the pills, just to get them down.Don't be fooled by the claim that this product was featured on 60 Minutes.It has been proven that the majority of hoodia sold is either not hoodia at all or not the variety that causes weight loss.Sadly, real hoodia products are still a few years from hitting the market. ... Do you take statins (ie: Lipitor, Mevacor..et al)?
If so, then you will want to take this as well.

I have been on statins of various types for over 10 years.As time has passed, I began to suffer from fatigue, stiffness and muscle pains.

A recent blood test showwed that my CPK levels were slightly elevated, but not so much so that I should be alarmed.I began to research C-Q10 in regards to statins on the web and discovered a lot of information describing how statins reduce natural levels of C-Q10 in the body which leads to all of the above problems.If it is not addressed it will eventually damage the heart.

a life saver

Very easy to use
This monitor is very easy to use. It comes with a lancet device included (Accu-Chek Softclix Lancet Device) and 10 lancets but no strips; therefore, in order to use it even once, you must buy the strips. I bought the Accu-Chek Active Blood Glucose Test Strips and they work. Given that 10 lancets last only ten times, you are better off buying lancets right away. Careful! You must buy the Accu-Chek Softclix Lancets (the Accu-Check SoftTouch Lancets will NOT work).
Once you have all your equipment, you do the following. Every time that you buy a new box of Strip, you must put the microchip in the monitoring kit.
The routine is very easy: load the lancet device; load the strip in the monitoring kit; use the lancet device to make a tiny prick in your finger, put the drop of blood on strip. Five seconds and you get the answer.

Great product, better than a generic
There are some things you shouldn't buy a generic for and this is one of them.They are just larger and more softer than the off brands out there and when you need a larger piece of cotton, you really can't beat these.I've used them for everything over the years and you really have to have them for a baby.I'm glad to have found them and when you really go out and compare, there really isn't any comparison.

Great taste - I shared with the kids - and they love it too.

Great product for anyone with fluctuating blood sugar level
I dont have diabetes, but I do suffer from hypoglycemia which can leave me feeling very irritable and disorientated. Generally snacking on candy bars will instantly make me feel better but minutes later will make the symptoms much worse. I've found that taking Glucerna bars are a great way of bringing up my sugar level and keeping it steady until I can get a balanced meal. I've also found that they help me have better energy when eaten before going to the gym.

I have given them four stars as although they taste good and have a better consistancy than other products on the market, I wish that they were less expensive so I could include them in my diet more often. ... Read more

For makeup removal these are the best. They
don't fray all over the place and leave bits
of cotton on your face or near your eyes. Which

I thought these cotton pads were great! I was surprised that they were so soft and yet strong. My German shepherd dog had an ear infection and those big ears of hers had to be cleaned with solution and cotton before I could put the ear drops in. These pads were just great for the job! I really like the fact that they are lint-free (compared to regular cotton) and are very absorbent. Compared to the regular sized cotton balls, they're wonderful. But, I still like the feel of the jumbo sized cotton balls better than these. I haven't had a chance to use them yet for removing polish, but I'm willing to bet that they work better than just about anything (because of the lint factor). I'd recommend these to a friend if they didn't like regular cotton balls.

I have the One Touch Ultra meter.The strips slide into the meter so easily every time.The stripe size is approximately 1/4 inch wide and 1 1/4 inch long.They appear to be made out of plastic, so you do have to use one whole test strip for each test.I say that because you cannot cut them in half, nor can you reuse them again.One end has a white and black striped end which you slide into the meter.The other end has an approximate 1/8th by 1/4 inch clear plastic area.This is where you would see the blood being tested.

When I have tested, the lancet just barely has to prick my finger.I find it amazing that just the smallest drop of blood is needed to get a reading.Once the small drop of blood is showing, all I have to do is touch the top of the test strip to the droplet and immediately the blood is drawn along into the plastic clear area.Drawing the blood takes only a second and the One Touch Ultra gives me the results in 5 seconds.
