GB Med Wipes: Urban Setting and Battlefield Proven!
A year ago, I had a terrible case of J.I. after a long road trip, sitting and sweating all the way from the East Coast to Midwest. It was painful, and the infection was bad: my skin smelled putrid. I visited the local pharmacy and searched for a remedy, but didn't want powders or creams. I wanted something easy that would give me fast relief. Thankfully, I ran across this box of medicated wipes.

The wipes soothed and sanitized my skin immediately, and I aggressively used the rest of the box over the next four days to completely control the J.I. To my surprise, it continued to help me when I used it as preventive maintenance during the rest of the summer, wiping down once a week to ensure that my crippling infection wouldn't return.

I got called up by the Marines and headed out to Iraq in March. Knowing that I was headed to a super-hot environment, you better believe that one of the most important items in my seabag was a maximum supply of these wipes. Thank goodness, the small packages allow me to pack a lot of them and still have space for the rest of my sundries. Out here in the desert, we get temps of 125 degrees. When you feel that your perspiration is getting out of control, or when you can't bathe because you're on patrol for an extended period of time, bring these wipes and use them whenever as preventive hygiene.

Simply put: they work, and they've helped me stay "combat effective".

They are easy to use, have just the right amount of saturation, and are man-sized so that one wipe will do the job. The smell is fresh but not overly-medicinal. Although the packaging isn't "tactical", it is easily folded or crumpled to minimize its waste footprint. In my opinion, one wipe a week in the civilian world helps year round and three wipes a week are a must for any person in a hot, desert, or tac environment where you know you'll be humping around, working up a sweat.

Great for Doggies
This is the best stuff for "hot spots" on dogs. We use this all the time in our Bulldogs ears and between their toes. Fantastic!

Best medicine for everything
I have been looking for BFI powder in stores for years - we used for every cut and scrape as kids - even for hives and other rashes.And, I used it for years on my dog's skin irritations.Then it seemed to disappear for a number of years, and I couldn't find it anywhere.I'm so glad to be able to find some.We call it "magic powder" in my family - soothes, dries out scabs, and generally heals all.

The most Perfect healing powder of its'kind
I am so surprised to find BFI medicated powder at Amazon.My Mother and I have been looking for this product for at least 10 years. Pharmacy/Drug Stores we checked with had never heard of it.My Mom and I used it a lot for healing sores, fever blisters, and scrapes, etc.I sure hope that it hasn't been discontinued. We really like it. It absorbs any seepage, medicates and forms a scab almost immediately-well> overnight.

The most comfortable bandage ever!
For years now I have been singing the praises of 3M Nexcare Comfort Strips Ultra Comfortable Bandages. Ever since I was a child I have been plagued with eczema. This means small cuts come and go constantly on my fingers. In order to do daily functions I need to cover these cuts up, but not be irritated by the material placing over them.

The slogan on the box, " So Breathable You'll Hardly Know It's On!" is the absolute truth. They are very thin in a tan shade with holes to allow the unique air flow pattern. The 3M Nexcare Comfort Strips Ultra Comfortable Bandages keeps the skin dry and cool. This is especially true when I need to hand wash some items in the tub, get bath water ready for kids, wash dishes due to not having a dishwasher and when taking a shower.

These bandages allow sweat and moisture to evaporate. Once out of the shower I remove the banadage and depending on the look of the cut I either replace it or let it heal on its own. There is a non stick pad that does not stick to the open cuts or wounds. Not very often will a bandage come off while in the shower. At times I need to readjust the bandage when not wet and have no problems removing it and placing it in another position. The bandage sticks easily to the spot a second time.

A few years ago they changed the packaging of the strips and then it went back to the original style. These come in one inch, 3/4 of an inch and the assorted sizes. The regular sizes contain about 35 or more bandages with the assorted carrying 50.

The assorted sizes have sizes wrapped in sets of four or five. The regular sizes they are individually wrapped. These wrappings are sterile, unless they have been damaged or opened. There is a caution in red lettering noted on their boxes that the packaging of the product contains natural rubber latex, which may cause allergic reactions.

So far this has not happened to me, but I always wash my hands after peeling the wrapper off. When they changed the style is when the wrapper irritated my skin and I wondered what product I would buy. Luckily this change was short lived. I have had allergic reactions to other things, but not these.

The wrapping is red and white with arrows pointing to the side that pulls apart to reveal the bandage with the two white sides to pull apart. I tend to hold the wrapper and two white pieces together and place in the trash before I even apply the bandage. A few times I have had bandages curl up when you pull the white tab part too quickly, but it has been a long time since that happened.

I can sleep with no problems wearing 3M Nexcare Comfort Strips Ultra Comfortable Bandages. Sometimes I go through a box in a two-week period or less. At any time you can find a few boxes in my cabinet.


If you need a bandage for your first aid kit this is the one to get. They are so comfortable and aid in the healing process of my cuts from eczema flareups. Whenever a nail has pulled we also use these on toes and fingers. The few times I have cut my legs shaving I have used with ease as well.

I am now an expert in placing one on my finger while driving. A few times a week I need to go into my case and remove the empty packaging and restock my supply.

I thought that the Band-Aid Blister Block product ...
I thought that the Band-Aid Blister Block product was pretty good. Instead of using it on the heel of my foot as shown on the package, I used it between my thumb and index finger under my work gloves. Then I went out to rake my lawn for the first time this year. It was the first time that I didn't get a blister from spring lawn cleanup! I was a little disappointed to see that there are only four cushions to a package. I'd probably buy these on my own as long they were on sale.

I was really skeptical, but this product actually worked pretty well. I have a pair of walking shoes that tends to leave a blister on one heel. I used it and didn't get the blister. I had a problem getting the thing to stick properly. The adhesive wasn't that great, especially if the shoe was tight. I had to adjust it a couple of times and then make sure I put my shoe on carefully so it didn't scrunch up. Once the strip was in place properly it worked pretty well. I'd recommend them if you have shoes that give you blisters. I'm not sure I'd wear them on sling back shoes since it's rather large. I'd like to see them in smaller sizes just for that purpose.

I thought this Blister Block would be similar in performance to a bandage, but I was pleasantly surprised. They are very comfortable and smooth. I tried these out on my ankle while walking in a pair of uncomfortable sandals. They worked great. They felt very smooth and they are so thin they stuck well to my skin. I highly recommend these. I can't wait to try them with my hiking boots or when skating. Those are times when I'm prone to get blisters, but I don't think I will if I'm wearing Blister Block!

I'd highly recommend this product to friends and family. With the breaking in of new shoes, I can always count on a blister -- not anymore! My heel was protected and comfortable. The adhesive stayed put and didn't shift. I have a wedding this weekend with new shoes. Being eight months pregnant, you can bet I'll be wearing my new Band Aid Blister Blocks. My feet will be the only thing comfortable!

Great product, don't get them wet!
To be honest, these bandages aggravate me.It seems like my hands are almost always in water and these guys, well, just fall off when they get wet.There's no water sparing on this product at all and when you're a busy mom with a cut or something on your hands, you need something that's going to stick.You can always tell whenever I have a cut because there are bandaids all over the house that have fallen off unnoticed.Otherwise, they do a good job in protecting wounds. ... Great product!
These are great pads.They do, however, leave fibers behind if you're using them for eyemakeup remover. I use them primarily for my freshener.They're so much more absorbent than regular cotton balls and it doesn't get all over your hands.As an added plus, if you have a Persian cat, they're fantastic for cleaning their ears and their eyes.They don't scratch as much as tissues do and they absorb more of the liquid.My cat sure likes them!

These little cotton squares did exactly what they were supposed to, without the messiness of a cotton ball. I used them with my facial cleanser, and they did the trick! I will definitely buy them again!

I have always insisted on using 100% cotton ...
I have always insisted on using 100% cotton ""cotton balls"" -- none of the beauty puffs or whatever they're called. The cotton really makes a difference. As such, I was impressed with these cotton squares. In several uses (especially removing nail polish!) they were handier and more effective than my usual cotton balls. If they weren't more expensive (almost twice the price), I'd use them for all my usual cotton ball needs, but as such, I'll save them for where they really do the best work (nail polish removal and makeup removal).

My opinion of The Johnson & Johnson 100% ...
My opinion of The Johnson & Johnson 100% Cotton Squares is neutral. They're pretty much a flattened cotton ball. I tried them with my astringent and make-up removal and application. I noticed that it took a little longer to apply my make-up evenly seeing that they don't have a smooth surface. You get 80 in a package, which is a good amount
