5-0 out of 5 stars Doctors & Nurses know best!
Due to having knee surgery recently, I've had to buy more bandages than ever before -- knee size for large incisions, and normal size for the arthroscopy portals. When you have to keep dressing six wounds on your knee daily, you become something of a bandage connoisseur. You become a bandage FREAK when your surgeon tells you to switch bandage brands due to a developing infection!

These Band-Aid Sheer Adhesive Bandages are the bandages used in hospitals and doctor's offices everywhere, and there's a good reason -- they're the best. They're thin, breathable, they stick well to skin even on joints such as the knee, and the gauze pad in them doesn't stick to your wound.

I thought I knew best when I purchased a different bandage brand, but there's a reason when we all get cuts or scrapes, we ask, "May I have a Band-Aid, please?"

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for a clutzy guy like me!
I can't even begin to tell you how many band-aids I go through in a week. Just since this morning I've badly cut myself twice. First I hit my thumb with a hammer while I was building a new "fort" for my pet squirrels Moe, Larry, and Curly.

Later on I sliced up my arm when I used my sister's chain saw to sculpt a wooden statue of Pat Sajak. I'm hoping to be on Wheel Of Fortune someday and I want to give the statue to Pat as a gift.

Anyway, in both cases where I badly injured myself today, Band-Aid bandages were there to help me out! They stopped the bleeding real good and hardly any of my blood got on my carpet.

I don't care what my friends say. Scotch-tape does NOT work on cuts as well as Band-Aid bandages do! I always keep them around for emergencies and you should, too.

P.S. - Keep an eye out for me on Wheel Of Fortune. I'll be the one with a wooden statue of Pat Sajak. I'll probably also be wearing at least one band-aid at the time.

3-0 out of 5 stars May stick TOO well ...
These are fine for those cuts you may get once in awhile.
Only negative thing I can say is that it sticks on too
well.I had a burn I needed to keep covered.I used a new bandage everyday for a week and I was left with bandage marks.
So these would not be good to use for more than a day or two.
Good Price for this Brand.

5-0 out of 5 stars Good basic patches
I think the best patch really depends on who is using it.For my daughter, she is allergic to some forms and others stick so well that they pull skin off when we remove the patch. We have used this brand for 2 years and have had no problems. There are some with more interesting designs (i.e. artistic), but these work well, especially for small children. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars I thought that the Band-Aid Blister Block product ...
I thought that the Band-Aid Blister Block product was pretty good. Instead of using it on the heel of my foot as shown on the package, I used it between my thumb and index finger under my work gloves. Then I went out to rake my lawn for the first time this year. It was the first time that I didn't get a blister from spring lawn cleanup! I was a little disappointed to see that there are only four cushions to a package. I'd probably buy these on my own as long they were on sale.

I was really skeptical, but this product actually worked pretty well. I have a pair of walking shoes that tends to leave a blister on one heel. I used it and didn't get the blister. I had a problem getting the thing to stick properly. The adhesive wasn't that great, especially if the shoe was tight. I had to adjust it a couple of times and then make sure I put my shoe on carefully so it didn't scrunch up. Once the strip was in place properly it worked pretty well. I'd recommend them if you have shoes that give you blisters. I'm not sure I'd wear them on sling back shoes since it's rather large. I'd like to see them in smaller sizes just for that purpose.

5-0 out of 5 stars I thought this Blister Block would be similar ...
I thought this Blister Block would be similar in performance to a bandage, but I was pleasantly surprised. They are very comfortable and smooth. I tried these out on my ankle while walking in a pair of uncomfortable sandals. They worked great. They felt very smooth and they are so thin they stuck well to my skin. I highly recommend these. I can't wait to try them with my hiking boots or when skating. Those are times when I'm prone to get blisters, but I don't think I will if I'm wearing Blister Block!

I'd highly recommend this product to friends and family. With the breaking in of new shoes, I can always count on a blister -- not anymore! My heel was protected and comfortable. The adhesive stayed put and didn't shift. I have a wedding this weekend with new shoes. Being eight months pregnant, you can bet I'll be wearing my new Band Aid Blister Blocks. My feet will be the only thing comfortable!

5-0 out of 5 stars The most comfortable bandage ever!
For years now I have been singing the praises of 3M Nexcare Comfort Strips Ultra Comfortable Bandages. Ever since I was a child I have been plagued with eczema. This means small cuts come and go constantly on my fingers. In order to do daily functions I need to cover these cuts up, but not be irritated by the material placing over them.

The slogan on the box, " So Breathable You'll Hardly Know It's On!" is the absolute truth. They are very thin in a tan shade with holes to allow the unique air flow pattern. The 3M Nexcare Comfort Strips Ultra Comfortable Bandages keeps the skin dry and cool. This is especially true when I need to hand wash some items in the tub, get bath water ready for kids, wash dishes due to not having a dishwasher and when taking a shower.

These bandages allow sweat and moisture to evaporate. Once out of the shower I remove the banadage and depending on the look of the cut I either replace it or let it heal on its own. There is a non stick pad that does not stick to the open cuts or wounds. Not very often will a bandage come off while in the shower. At times I need to readjust the bandage when not wet and have no problems removing it and placing it in another position. The bandage sticks easily to the spot a second time.

A few years ago they changed the packaging of the strips and then it went back to the original style. These come in one inch, 3/4 of an inch and the assorted sizes. The regular sizes contain about 35 or more bandages with the assorted carrying 50.

The assorted sizes have sizes wrapped in sets of four or five. The regular sizes they are individually wrapped. These wrappings are sterile, unless they have been damaged or opened. There is a caution in red lettering noted on their boxes that the packaging of the product contains natural rubber latex, which may cause allergic reactions.

So far this has not happened to me, but I always wash my hands after peeling the wrapper off. When they changed the style is when the wrapper irritated my skin and I wondered what product I would buy. Luckily this change was short lived. I have had allergic reactions to other things, but not these.

The wrapping is red and white with arrows pointing to the side that pulls apart to reveal the bandage with the two white sides to pull apart. I tend to hold the wrapper and two white pieces together and place in the trash before I even apply the bandage. A few times I have had bandages curl up when you pull the white tab part too quickly, but it has been a long time since that happened.

I can sleep with no problems wearing 3M Nexcare Comfort Strips Ultra Comfortable Bandages. Sometimes I go through a box in a two-week period or less. At any time you can find a few boxes in my cabinet.

If you need a bandage for your first aid kit this is the one to get. They are so comfortable and aid in the healing process of my cuts from eczema flareups. Whenever a nail has pulled we also use these on toes and fingers. The few times I have cut my legs shaving I have used with ease as well.

I am now an expert in placing one on my finger while driving. A few times a week I need to go into my case and remove the empty packaging and restock my supply.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great product, don't get them wet!
To be honest, these bandages aggravate me.It seems like my hands are almost always in water and these guys, well, just fall off when they get wet. There's no water sparing on this product at all and when you're a busy mom with a cut or something on your hands, you need something that's going to stick. You can always tell whenever I have a cut because there are bandaids all over the house that have fallen off unnoticed.Otherwise, they do a good job in protecting wounds. ... New! Multi-Day Use. Seals to Heal.

Superior Protection to Promote Fast Natural Healing.

6 ~ Large Sterile Strips - 1 3/4 in. x 2 3/4 in. (4.4 cm x 7.0 cm).

This new advanced protection works with the body's natural healing process to promote faster healing.  The strip acts in place of a scab to seal in your body's own natural healing fluids and seal out water, dirt and germs that can cause infection.  The strip restores the skin to a natural moisture level by absorbing fluids from the injured skin and allowing excess moisture to evaporate.  As the strip absorbs moisture from the wound, a white gel cushion will form over the wound to provide extra protection.  And like a scab, the strip will work best when left on the wound and in place for as long as possible.

  • Advanced protection that creates optimum natural healing conditions.
  • Repels water, dirt and germs that can cause infection.
  • Adhesive strong enough to stay in place for several days.
  • Superior comfort, slim and discreet.
  • Hypoallergenic and won't stick to wound for gentle removal.

The Power to Heal® - A covered wound heals faster than an uncovered one.

Advanced Healing with Compeed® Moisture Seal™ Technology.

Sterility guaranteed unless individual wrapper is opened or damaged.

5-0 out of 5 stars far and away the best bandage.
These bandages stick much better than traditional bandages when you follow the directions: you have to warm up these bandages to ~ body temperature before peeling off the film and applying. Put them between your hands or in your (clean) armpit or against a hot cup of coffee to warm up the bandage. After you do that they practically melt onto your skin and will stick tight for many days. They work best if the wound has stopped bleeding. If it bleeds significantly under this bandage you should remove after the bleeding has stopped, clean off the blood, and reapply a new bandage. Normal moisture in the wound will be trapped and somewhat absorbed by the bandage and form a kind of blister in the bandage. That is normal. Do not apply big globs of antibiotic lotion under the bandage. Just wash the wound, apply a small amount of antibiotic if necessary, wipe off any excess and apply the bandage to clean dry skin. You can easily trim the bandages to fit any size wound. (1/4 to 1/2 inch around the wound is generally all you need.) The wound will also heal much quicker under this bandage than under other bandages that allow air to get to the wound. It is a myth that wounds need to "air out". If the wound forms its own crusty bloody scab it will crack, you will pick at it, and it will be more likely to bleed and scar. These bandages form their own more flexible scab that keeps the moisture in the area and will cause the wound to heal faster with less scarring.

5-0 out of 5 stars These adhesives are excellent!
I recently went sailing with an "assisted knife" in my back pocket, I forgot about it when I jumped in my sleeping bag. In the morning I could feel something "poking me" and I reached in and really sliced my finger.I only had regular bandaids on board and after two days at sea nothing would stick and the finger was still bleeding.I was able to get to shore and buy the advanced finger care set. What a remarkable product. Not only did it stop the bleeding but I could continue to haul anchor lines and sail sheets without pain. The coverings appear to cushion the wound and I could still see through the substance to check the wound for redness or swelling.I plan to buy every size available and keep them on the boat.It is important that one cleanse the area with an antiseptic, which I would imagine most folks would want to do, this allows for clean skin and the stuff will not come off!I tested this product in extreme conditions! I have even had to trim closer and closer to the wound as this stuff stays put.I will go this way over sutures or steri-strips any day.The best part is the throbbing stopped. I notice that the wound just fills in by granulating from below. I give this product 5 stars and I want to find a way to buy it in bulk!Salt, sea air and cuts are a horrible inconvenience. Imagine how nice this stuff would be around the house!

2-0 out of 5 stars They don't stick!
This would be a great bandage if they could figure out how to get them to stick on during the day.I can use these at night since I'm not using my hands all night but during the day, well, they just fall off very, very quickly.I wish someone out there could make a bandage that will stay on so the wound can heal. What's the point if it won't adhere? ...
