Not recommended for deep wounds (sutured incisions, etc.)
I wore Nexcare Active Strips Foam bandages (knee size and normal size) for two weeks post-op from knee surgery. At my one month checkup I was advised to switch bandage brands because the foam in these bandages tends to attract and retain moisture -- not a desirable trait when one has deep, sutured incisions. I developed a slight infection/inflammation due to wearing these bandages instead of less bulky, more "breathable" ones.
