Off my perscription drugs.
During my annual physical, lab results reported my blood glucose level was 198! This was the first time I was told I might have a possible diabetes problem. Approximately a month later I had more tests repeated and the readings were still high at 183. The doctor reported to me again that he felt diabetes was still very much in the picture, but return for yet another test in May. The report in May was still high at 160. I then returned the first of June for another reading which had only dripped 5 points to 155.

I asked the doctor point blank, do I have Diabetes or not? His response was "yes" I do believe you have diabetes. I then asked him what do you recommend I do? He put me on a medication called "Glucophage" one tablet a day each morning. A short time later, the results were still not good so he increased my dosage to "two" pills each morning.

According to my records, on June 5th the major thrust took hold to really start the battle. I started eating better and taking Glucophage every day. My readings on June 11th were 156 and a high of 226. I kept daily readings from my monitor to accurately record the results. Again on June 22nd my averages were 156 for one week; 158 for two weeks and 149 for 3 weeks. Continuing on medication daily and recording results, my 4th week averages were 128 and 136 and 142.
