5-0 out of 5 stars Good Tool
I'm a repair plumber, antique Harley mechanic and technical writer. I was skeptical about whether these magnetic glasses would work for me. But after having gone through about 6 pair of $15.00 Dean Adell® reading glasses, of which I managed to break every one of them right in the middle of the nose bridge, I figured I'd buy a couple pair of these CliC® jobs and try them out. Where the Dean Adell's broke is where these have a strong magnet. The temple loop frames don't fall off my head when I'm working as a repair plumber/contortionist under a customers kitchen sink. The magnetic connection at the nose-piece is self aligning, and I can hang them from the mirror of my service van which keeps the lenses from getting scratched.

I wear tested them working on motorycles. Very good tool, since they stay on. If Dean Adell's fall off, they're done for, if they hit the concrete lens-down. I figure now, I need a pair hanging from every vehicle mirror. One in the service van and another in my pick-up. This way, when I'm frog-marched out of the house to go grocery shopping, I can wear CliC's into the storeto read "content labels", then drop them down out of the way and continue organized-shopping. And, they're a guilt-free purchase, since they qualify as a"life-improvement" investment.

1-0 out of 5 stars Not as great as I thought...
These are clumsy....I agree with Keith, in the review above. My hubby has a big neck (from football physique) and these are not comfortable for him. I would still like the magnetic front closure, but it would be nice if the back, that goes around your neck, were a bit more flexible.
As it is now, I have to unconnect these so many times, it's irritating. They don't just slide off, like on a chain of rope. You have to pull them apart and connect them around your neck. Then pull them apart and re-adjust them on the bridge of your nose. I know this sounds petty, or silly, but until you wear them, it's hard to explain. You can't just 'flick' them off...they are wrapped around your head. I think you will either love or hate this feature.
Also, I would prefer that the magnifying lenses be like half-lenses so if I have to get up and walk around, or look at something in the distance, I could just look over the tops of the lenses.
Maybe it's all in what you're used to...but I won't buy another pair until there are some changes in the design.

5-0 out of 5 stars They work.
I've gone through so many reading glasses.Metal ones break.See-Folds (plastic "double" folders) were great, but they went out of business.Other plastic models also broke."Blues Brothers" (heavy plastic) were durable, but lost.

I'm buying nothing but CliCs now - and Amazon has a great price. They're durable.I have a big head (8.0) and they are a touch tight, but now that I've learned to look for them around my neck, they're never lost! ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Difficult to adjust
I've reached the age where my arms are getting shorter when I try to read. I have several pairs of OTC reading glasses scattered throughout the house that I can never find when I need them. So this product sounded like just the thing, letting me wear my glasses around my neck without buying a chain and look trendy at the same time.

Alas, it sounded like a great idea but wasn't. So far I have been unable to properly adjust the frames where they don't ride up when I wear them. If I wear them over the ears as intended, my hair weighs them down in the back, causing their refusal to rest on my nose. The only way I can get them to work is if I wear them over my ears and hair, which makes me look like a doofus.

This problem would probably be solved if I got myself a really short haircut. But I don't think I'll be changing my hairstyle just so I can wear these glasses.

5-0 out of 5 stars What an innovation!
I used to really struggle with putting on glasses. It can be so complicated. You have to accurately get the stems over your ears and the bridge of the glasses onto your nose, all the while avoiding poking your delicate eyes.I can't even tell you how many times I had to go to the local emergency room after poorly aiming my glasses at a sensitive membrane. However, with the new Clic reader glasses, this problem is no more! Now I can wrap the glasses around the back of my head and they stay on by a magnet in the front. This is so completely amazing and has drastically decreased my health insurance premiums.Thank you, Clic, for addressing the glasses mishap epidemic!

5-0 out of 5 stars OH,MY, PEEPERS! THEBETTERTOSEEYOUWITH!
As a writer, historian and webmistress of WWW.CookingUpHistory.com my eyes are my tools and sometimes I am hesitant to carry around my expensive prescription spectacles, especially since I would be lost at work (and penniless) without them. So...I have these snazzy and slightly nerdy pair of clear frame magnified specs that work great for reading menus in dark cozy restaurants are haunting old book stores. They are exceptionally handy to carry and they pack effortlessly, meaning you can reach into a jacket pocket or tote bag and pull them out without being concerned about tweaking the frames.

3-0 out of 5 stars hehe i like them....a little bit
As soon as I saw these, I made my mom buy them for me!! (and by "made" I mean scrubbed the toilets every night....and by scrubbed the toilets every night, I mean worked in a coal mine :D) Anyway...I thought these would be real great - cool kid glasses y'know? So I went to school with them on and got punched by everyone in sight - including my teachers!! But the good thing is that whenever that happened with my regular glasses, they broke. But with THESE it was like they were ALREADY broken! yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss.
A must have if you're used to being bullied. >:)

5-0 out of 5 stars Adjustable & There for you when you need 'em.
I love these glasses. I used to keep both reading glasses and sunglasses on chains around my neck and they constantly got tangled. Another problem with chains is when you lean forward the chain swings out and the glasses catch on stuff, you stand up then chain and/or glasses break apart. These glasses solve the problem. I ordered them for my husband to try, but I want my own now. Ladies--just wear them under your hair along your neckline ! (I live in land of big hair in the sunny south and we are NOT gonna wear anything that screws up our hair) Also, the reviewers that complained of the glasses not being large enuf--the metal arms of these glasses will extend in and out of the plastic portion and will fit all sorts of head sizes. It takes a good grip to pull the arms in or out to adjust--I think these other folks never tried that. Maybe the manufacturer should include a slip of paper on bright orange paper w/ those instructions for people who don't realize that they are adjustable.. and as to style, if this companyis successful w/ these, maybe they'll add a cat-eye style like I'd like. But meanwhile, the extra convenience of these basic ones make up for the lack of jazzy colors and sparkley stones, etc...like my other reg. reading glasses. Try them.

1-0 out of 5 stars What? Are you guys nuts?
Gosh, I wear contact lenses sometimes and when I do I still require reading glasses. Unfortunately because of astigmatism, glaucoma, and "baby" cataracts I can only use hard gas permeable contact lenses which do NOT do an adequate job.If I had a pair of these things I would need to buy them by the gross.

If I put down my reading glasses they "disappear' until I either feel them and /or squah them. Please let me know when you stock a pair that BEEPS!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great product, highly recommended
I got my pair of Clic Goggles because I was looking for a more comfortable pair of goggles for skiing because I thought the other ones were too big and left that mark on your face when you took them off. These goggles are everything I could have hoped for and more. They fit perfectly (even over my glasses) and never fall off even when I have fallen (NOTE: there is a smaller size for children and most women). Not only do they fit well but they are simply more "cool" than the other goggles out there. I recommended them to my friend and he know uses them when he rides his motorcycle and when he DJs at a local club here.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED (and can't beat this price on Amazon!) NOT ONLY USEFUL BUT STYLISH AND COOL ... Read more
