Great ankle support
While still recovering from a badly sprained/strained ankle & broken heal bone, I've been trying to return to as many of my normal activities as possible.Most importantly, in addition to normal walking, I regularly swim laps 3 to 4 times each week during which I need to protect my weakened foot and ankle.

All the other ankle supports I found were too bulky, complicated or uncomfortable.This is the only splint I've found that is not only extremely comfortable but also allows me to wear my regular shoes... and my "Zoomers" (shorty swim fins)!When I first used it in the pool, I wore it inside my Zoomer - worked okay, but the stabilizer tended to rub a bit.However, I found that it's much more comfortable & equally supportive to put it on over the Zoomer.(Just pull the splint on & above your foot, put on the swim fin & then put the splint into position and secure it over the fin.)

Not only is the fabric breathable & light weight, but there are no lumpy supports or seams to irritate.It's a plus that it's also quick drying... but I'm still about to order another one so I can keep the original in my locker at the pool!I highly recommend this for any athletes in need of ankle support. ... Great Brace!
I don't usually write reviews, but this ankle brace is so good, I decided to take the time to let anyone debating whether or not to buy this item to go right ahead & buy it - it's terrific.

Pros: .Provides pain prevention and comfort, also during everyday activities and light to medium workouts; .Fast to put on - one velcro flap closes it; .Easy to adjust - just pull the ends tighter for more support; .Flexible & comfortable; .Fits inside shoes.

Cons:none. However, if you are looking for a rigid brace for strong ankle support, or for extreme ankle protection during high impact sports, then this brace is not for you.

If you need an ankle brace to greatly reduce or eliminate ankle pain from a prior injury, prior sprain, arthritis, weak tendons,etc., and you want whip it on for a few hours, or to wear it all day, or all night, or during workouts for comfort,flexibility, and light to medium ankle protection, then this brace is perfect for you :--) . ... You'll forget you're wearing it
I was skeptical that this lightweight ankle brace would be able to provide enough support for me to play soccer in it, but I've been very impressed with it so far. I've hated other ankle braces I've had in the past because they restricted motion to the point where I couldn't run without sort of dragging my foot along. This brace provides the right amount of support and keeps you from rolling your ankle under you, but you will be able to move your foot up and down with no problem. Its so comfortable and lightweight, and I especially like that it only has parts in places where it needs to have parts. Its not like wearing a giant heavy sock like other braces, especially the lace-up variety. I would defintely buy this brace again.

The Malleo-Loc has worked very well for my unstable ankle.It is light and unobtrusive, while providing great support.I am buying another, since my old one wore out.It lasted well over two yearsof active tennis, playing about three times a week.I have tried a couple of other such devices, but this one is in its own class.Short of surgical repair, I can't imagine anything being significantly better. ...
