Actually Does What It Promises
I am very impressed with both the design and performance of this hairdryer. Exceptionally well-made, it sports a very sleek, cushioned black body; is unusually lightweight - especially for a 1900 watt dryer - is comfortable to hold, and I did not experience any problems with accidentally changing the settings on the handle (hot,cold, on, off, cold shot, etc.).There is absolutely nothing flimsy in the design of either the switches or the body of the hairdryer.You won't run the risk of changing the settings by accident.

Regarding performance, I am amazed at the outstanding results. My thick, long, coarse and frizzy hair became so sleek (major improvement noticed after having used the dryer three times- I guess the effects are cumulative) that it looks like I took a flat iron to it.I didn't even use styling products!

It dried my hair in less time than my previous dryer, an 1800 watt, terribly heavy professional Elchim (non-ionic), and it did so without tiring my arms. My hair feels significantly lighter, flatter and smoother to the touch. The frizz was also eliminated and there is a noticeable boost in the shine.

The BaByliss dryer is an excellent value for the price. By contrast I paid about $90 for my Elchim and have used other professional dryers and none of these gave me the results that this product has.

Where do you put your hand?
This dryer is all that they said it was. It is quiet as most dryers are now days. It has the Ion thing going for it however other than the fun of saying you are using it, it dower not really make any difference. It is sturdy and light and so forth. I appreciate the removable filter.

This dryer has one big irritating design flaw. You can not grasp the handle with out turning something on or off. They would do better to rearrange the buttons or use a slide button.

My husband recently asked me what the hairdresser did to make my hair look so sleek when she styled it. I used the same products as her and copied her techniques but my fine hair tended to be a bit frizzy. The next time I was at the hairdressers I paid closer attention. Same shampoo, conditioner, brush size and similar technique. As she blew my hair dry I realized the difference - she used a professional hair dryer.For years I have purchased inexpensive drugstore hairdryers that run about $20 and replaced them when they blew a fuse a year or so later. With a professional dryer she was able to dry my hair quicker and that combined with ceramic and ionic technology of the dryer she used cut out the frizzys!

After checking out several hair dryers including the one she used, I decided on the Babyliss Pro-Carrera. There were a number of reasons. It offers ceramic and ionic technology. The wattage 1900 is gentler than the 2000 but still powerful. AND a super selling point was that though the dryer is a professional model it is LIGHTER and more COMPACT than other professional dryers by about 25%. Yes I want nice toned arms but not from using a hairdryer. I wanted the dryer to be easy to maneuver.

The dryer has not disappointed. The styling is very euro-chic. Black with a matte finish. Not the shiny easily scratched surface of other models. Controls are easy to use. The handle is comfortable to hold. It has a heavy duty cord, overkill for my home perhaps but not a problem and the hairdryer is compact and not too heavy. The dryer comes with a concentrator nozzle which is not mentioned in the item description. This snaps on the dryer and concentrates the air where you want it to go.

And it dries beautifully. A powerhouse but very controlled - works great on my baby fine hair and dries my daughters thick locks in half the time of our cheapie models. And the good news is I understand it will last for years instead of breaking down within a short time period like the cheapie models. Plus its quiet!

So-so
PROS: Hair dries FAST! Lots of power. High heat. Lots of heat/speed settings. Housing looks nice.
CONS: Shuts off everytime it gets too hot. (Which is good I suppose... if you are concerned with overheating. But for me it would die in the middle of getting ready for work. It cost a lot of time waiting for it to cool and click back on.)
FINAL NOTE: It completely died!! Granted, I used it almost everyday for a year or more. But today when I went to use it, it just wouldn't turn on. Totally dead. :(
DECENT DRYER FOR THE PRICE. BUT IF YOU'RE WILLING TO SPEND A LITTLE MORE, TRY SOMETHING BETTER.

reputable brand but too hot to handle
I have had my Conair translucent dryer for over a year (and I blow-dry daily). Pros- hair dries FAST due to the SUPER heating elements. It's lightweight, and not as loud as some dryers I've used. The filter snaps on and off easily, so a quick cleaning is no problem. Not many dryers come with three heating options (four, when you count the cool shot button) AND three speeds, as this one does.
That said, the cord is really thick and often rolls up on its own--annoying--plus there's no hang loop. The heat is almost too hot. It sometimes smells like the plastic is melting. I definately wouldn't recommend this to someone with fine or damaged hair.

This hairdryer is wonderful.Works great!Enjoy ease of use and looks.Only drawback is the additional parts tend to fall off easily.

I loooove this shampoo!!
Oh how I wish I discovered this shampoo looong time ago. My hair is really hard to manage. It gets easily frizzy, staticky, dry and tangled. I've tried EVERYTHING and most shampoos usually ruin my hair, causing it to be more difficult to damage and leaving lots of strands in the drain. Yuck!

I saw this on sale at a local drugstore and gave it a try. Let me tell you this, it did wonders for my hair! After showering, I kept smelling my hair over and over. I love the scent! It also left my hair feeling super clean, shiny, soft, TANGLE-FREE! and easily manageable. It's so gentle on my hair. The pump also makes it easier to use. I definitely recommend this to all who have been trying to find the perfect shampoo. No more guessing which shampoo is the right one for me, because I think I found mine and this one is a keeper.

Famtastic Hair Cleanser
WEN is a rather different hair cleanser (note I didn't say shampoo).As the name states, it's a cleansing conditioner - you massage it into your hair, leave on for 3-5 minutes and rinse for 1-3 minutes. I got the Sweet Almond Mint and my scalp felt wonderfully tingly. There is no lather and that did take a bit of getting used to, but that's such a minor thing.
WEN has made my hair shiny, soft and manageable, and for the first time in ages I don't have hair in my comb after shampooing.

The customer service is fantastic and the shipping is fast. The price may seem a bit steep, but you'd pay that or more if you bought another high end shampoo and condioner separately. Hi!I'm rating this product highly only becuase it smells so good.I actually have a shaved head so I can't attest to it's qualities as a thickener.However, I am a big fan of citrus-scented products and Thicher Fuller Hair shampoo is a pleaser.It smells like they took a fresh squeezed orange and put it in a bottle.It smells so yummy, i use it for shampoo and shower gel.I wish they had a body lotion to compliment it! :)

Works suprisingly easily
My 6 year old tried this out.It's very easy to use for an adult -- you can do a bunch of beaded hair strands within 10 minutes or less.She could probably do it herself, but hasn't tried that yet.The jaw clips hold vey well, as long as you have enough hair pinched, and you pinch the hair closer to the hinge.Otherwise they'll slide right off.

The only downside I see is that there are only ten "jaw clips", in the package, and we're not good at keeping track of these things.Haven't seen where to get replacement parts, although somewhere on the package it says you can use foil to tie off the braid ends.It's also not that cheap.

If it weren't for this contraption I think it would be very difficult to get the beads onto the hair-- if that's the look you're going for!I think she looks nice with just a few beads towards the ends of her hair, and this tool works fine for that, or for filling up the hair strands top to bottom.

My daughter got the Quick Bead for Christmas and she loves it.She is 6yrs old and likes to wear her beads.It is easy to use and you can buy beads at any craft store.I just bought her heart beads for Valentine's Day.

Lots of fun
I bought this for my 4 year old daughter for Christmas.She loves it!It is really easy to use (even my husband has mastered it).The beads look very cute, especially when a few strands in a ponytail are beaded, and it makes her feel glamorous.There is an assortment of beads; round, stars, ovals, and numerous colors.
There are just a couple of problems I see.Sometimes the clasp at the end of the beads comes undone and the beads fall out.Also, 40 beads sounds like a lot, but if the hair is very long or if you want very many strands beaded, the beads go very quickly.I would recommend purchasing extra beads.The directions say you can use any beads as long as they are the right size.I have not tried that though.

Ridiculous waste of money.
I'm surprised no one else has reviewed this product. I know someone who decided to give it a try. Its very premise sounds okay; string beads onto your hair quickly instead of one by one. However, once you think about it, the thing no longer sounds so appealing. How often does one wear beads in their hair? Even young girls don't do it often. And of course the commercial's aimed at them. These kind of products never work as smoothly or yield the results they show on TV. Which is why they tell the girls "It's easy to look like your favorite celebrity" with "the Auto-Beader" or "the Quick-Beader" or whichever variety of the same thing they're trying to sell. Right. Celebrities really wear their hair covered in beads. And you really look like them simply by changing your hair to be covered in beads.

The worst thing about this is that it claims to be able to offer you a plethora of different hairstyles. The hair never looks any different thanks to this thing! It only has beads in it. The hair looks different on the commercials because they figure we'll be too daft to realize that they've not only added beads, but made subtle adjustments to alter its appearance, length, etc. Beware the tricks of advertisement on these kinds of things. The little girls on TV who went from "shy and simple" to "wild and trendy" aren't the same little girls who bought it in the real world. Besides, who wants wild and trendy?! I love this product. I'm a little confused because I loved it SO MUCH until it just died on me. Same as all the other reviews said, the red light flickers, and just goes off. But for the first year (with not regular use) it was excellent. I'll probably just order another.

second time is the charm
I first got this iron as a gift. It lasted a few months and my hair was terriic. Yet, all of a sudden that heat keep dying on me and the little red light would flicker on and off. But now I got another one because I love how hot it gets and how big that plates are. So it's a really good iron if only it will last longer then Enron did.:)

good straightener
does what its supposed to do. one bad thing is on both of the longer edges of the gold plate, the hair gets caught on it. (meaning the edges are not smoothed off...which makes it very frustrating to use sometimes).

It's not sexy, but it beats the alternatives!

great, one of the best professional flatirons
this iron works great, and this is the advertised prices on other sites such as folica.com . it heats up in less than 20 seconds, and can reach up to 450 degrees farenheit. the higher settings work better on ethnic hair. i have blonde hair that is long and over processed, but it looks great. my favorite feature is definately the fast heat up, now waking up late doesnt keep me from straightening my hair ... Styles hair without damage
I love this styler!I had another one like it, but it wore out after about 4-5 years of use (which is pretty good!).It's true it's not as powerful as the Conair, which I also have, but daily use of a product like that with extremely hot metal can cause the hair to become so frizzy and fried that it breaks when you just comb it.I have color treated hair and I need to be careful with it.This product doesn't burn my hair or my hands or my scalp and it does a great job curling my hair every day.I'm buying 3 more just in case it gets discontinued - I can't find it in drugstores anymore and you can't beat the price here!!!!!!

Where's the power?
This is just an awful product.Don't waste your time or money.The lack of power with this styler is almost comical it is so weak.I turned it on and had to laugh.It sounds like a toy fan is powering it.If you have hair longer than 2 inches and any thickness to it, DO NOT BUY THIS!I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.Vidal Sassoon should go back to the drawing board on this one.Stick with Conair products if you want a drying brush.

Great Item
I have used this hot air styler for over a year and I wonder what I ever did without it. My hair has been short to medium length this year and I wash it every day.This is easy to use and gives me the height, body and bounce that I like.My local drug store has changed to Riteaid and no longer carries it so I am so glad to find it here.I'm going to order three so I can have one in each bathroom.You will love this product!
