Definately Zero Downsides....No Cons, All Pros
I would probably curl up and die with out sun-in (I'm exaggerating of course...).How else would I get beautiful blonde hair without spending a fortune and without damaging my hair?Sun-in is very effective in a short amount of time.Just an hour sitting in the sun turns my medium-brown hair into a light blonde color.I get absolutly zero damage, which is suprising.I mean, you'd think they're be some downsides to using this, but there's not!I'd recommend this to anybody and everybody.

Save your Hair
Please I mean PLEASE don't put Sun In in your hair. It destoys your hair. The awful smell of it never goes away when you put it on. I have dark or at least I use to have dark pretty blonde hair.But when I wanted some natural highlights in my hair I turned to my mother. She said she used this stuff called Sun In and I had to try it. Her hair looked great but only if I waited a couple more weeks I would have seen her hair turn orange and destroy her brown hair. So I sprayed some on. I was so scared of what it might do. I waited and waited and waited but after a couple of days there were still no highlights and I live in Florida whenthe sun always shines. So then I sprayed just a little more on. After that I lost the bottle THANK GOD so I didn't use it again. After 1 month I noticed that my hair started having orange streaks and it looked awful I MEAN AWFUL. After school got out the summer came and man did my hair turn orange. I even cried over it because it looked so bad. But after you use it the color never goes away. I really hate Sun In and I'm writting this review so no one will buy it and ruin thier hair If only someone wrote a review so I could have read it it would have saved my hair. But no they didn't so I will be the persons review you will read and stop you from using Sun In.Oh yes on more information you might want to hear my mother hated her orange hair so much she shaved it off.

Summery Way To Lighten Hair
I have naturally light brown hair. Sun In is a great way for me to go blond that is very easy. Just spray it on, and head out into the California sun. I also feel Sun In gives my hair nice body and makes it fuller. People have commented on my hair, thinking I was a natural blond.
I just wish they made a product to just do the roots of your hair. To spray from the bottle just the roots is alittle difficult.

If I can do it at home, so can you!
I used this product for the first time tonite, May 27, 2004, and love the results!My hair is originally blonde, but over the years (and 2 pregnancies later!) my hair has gone to dark blonde-almost a light brown.I recently got my hair cut short, and there those dark roots were!!I had to do something about it, especially with summer right around the corner!Of course, all of the salons in my area were booked for a week - so I decided to take matters into my own hands, literally!!

It took some time to pull the hair thru the cap- but I knew it was worth the time, because it would be an even distribution of color that way.This was the worst part of the whole process.Nothing was hard.

Once the hair is pulled thru the cap, you mix 3 ingredients in order in the container provided.Everything is provided except for the towels, a hair pin, and the old shirt (just in case you spill).Once mixed, you put the gloves on & get purple! ~At least that was the color of the mixture I used.My oldest daughter (age 6) was worried I was coloring my hair purple!! (Well, that IS her favorite color, but I'm just not that good of a mom I guess!)

You spread the mixture over the hair on the outside of the cap and then put a plastic bag (provided) over that & keep in place with the hair pin.20-25 minutes later -you are highlighted!!

Yep, it's that easy!The color turned out perfect for me! And it's even all over.

I'm no expert-and this is the first time I've done this myself...I would highly recommend this product to anyone wanting to do their own highlights.The lack of a 5 star rating is due to the time needed to pull the hair thru the cap, approx. 20-30 minutes.
