Surprise!It actually works very well.
God has a cruel sense of humor.Why else would he design so many males so that their hairs would fall out of their heads and sprout out of their ears, nose, and back?

Panasonic has done the mankind a favor by inventing this much needed gizmo, though no man with any pride would admit to buying or even needing this device.It's doubtful that Americans would have ever invented this device.It took the Japanese - who in their country have hair salons where women can go get their pubic hairs (yes you read that right) trimmed, styled, and colored - to do so.

The device in the photo looks kinda scary - who'd enjoy shoving a mechanical device with a buzzing blade into his nose?I finally took the plunge and bought this thing, because the errant nose hairs constantly tickled inside of my nose.The days of shoving a pair of scissors inside of my nose is finally over.

The device is very well designed, it turns out.The tip is small and very smooth to touch, and you can actually press the tip to inside of your nose without any discomfort.The noise and vibration is minimal, and the small spinning disc (enclosed inside the metal cage) cuts very well, with no discomfort.The device itself is small and comfortable to hold.

After you're done "shaving", look at the sink below and be prepared to be surprised how much hair were shorn.You can also use device to precisely cut an errant hair sticking out of your sideburn as well.Great device, if you can ever get over the ticklish concept that you actually need a nose hair trimmer.

Is it me or do all the reviews for this product sound phony?They don't sound genuine... almost as if someone who works for Panasonic wrote them.

Works great, and here's some tips
I've never dared use one of these but finally got tired of stray hairs peeking out.I put it to use last night and it works great.What more needs to be said about a nose hair trimmer??

A little more.First, the light actually is useful...just not when you've got it stuck in your nose cutting hair.Its use is when you periodically need to examine inside to see how you're doing.So spend the big bucks for the lighted model, otherwise you'll have to keep a flashlight around.

Second, when you first get it, it has a light oil film on the cutter.Good for the machinery but not so much for your nose.So I recommend you take an alcohol swab, take the cutter apart like they say and clean everything before the first use.

Nose Hair trimmer that REALLY WORKS

Cannot recommend this
I owned a Wahl trimmer before and decided to try out the Norelco Trimmer coz of its price. I only use the trimmer occassionally. The trimmer is nice and light, and handles the job well. Even liked the nose trimmer attachment. The battery charger however, is a piece of junk. I had followed instructions and charged the unit for the first time as indicated in the manual. I used the trimmer a couple of times after that till the charge ran out. When I tried to recharge it, it just died out. No indicator light - nothing. It looks pretty, but is anything but sturdy. I switched back to my Wahl trimmer.

Can't beat it for price
I use this groomer for everything.It cuts through the hair on my head with no trouble when I decide it's time for the bald look.It does a nice job of trimming nose and ear hair.It allows me to trim my moustache and eyebrows with great accuracy.I even use it on my girlfriend to trim something that shall go unmentioned here, but she never complains about the results.I would buy this product again.

I was looking for a good trimer for my beard. I was also looking for a nose and ear hair trimmer. I came across this set and it had both items I was looking for in one package. When I received the trimmer it was packaged in a clear plastic casing. It comes with a cheap charging stand holder. The item worked better than expected. It trimed my beard well. The nose hair came off without pain. The set is light weight and the case holder not the best, In fact it was slightly difficult to put the plug into the charging stand. I liked the set since it does work well. In fact, I bought an extra one to give as a gift to my brother in law.

It does its job as expected.
After reading many of the reviews for other brands and some other Panasonic trimmers I decided to take a chance with this one that had no reviews and really not much info on it whatsoever. I took the risk based on how poor the ratings and reviews were for most of the other similar products on the site and I decided to go with this one based on brand recognition, price and appearance (marketing students take notice hehe..)
This is the first time I have actually bought a nose hair trimmer so I have nothing else to compare it with but as I stated in the title it does its job as expected.
The unit is attractive looking with a dark and light blue metallic-looking combination. The casing is not metallic but plastic and although it looks very nice I find my 2 year old Norelco beard trimmer better looking than this unit. To be more specific it doesn't look as fancy but it does look very good.
The unit is small at 5.5 inches long and a bit over 1 inch wide at its widest point. It is by no means heavy. It is powered by a AA battery and has no recharging option and can't be plugged in. But I am guessing a single battery will last plenty so those are really not drawbacks methinks!
Does it work? Why yes! Like I said before I have nothing to compare it to, but like they say, first impressions are very important and this unit has indeed given me a good first impression. It nose-trimmed very well and the process was both effortless and painless (have not tried using it for my ears and I don't think I ever will as I don't have that problem so I can't report on that). The motor makes the blades spin quite fast (rotary blades) which is what makes the trimming painless and the blades themselves are surrounded by a plastic casing to prevent injuries, it works well. To store it you are provided a plastic cap to cover both the blades and the plastic casing around them.
It is easily disassembled (for cleaning purposes) and reassembled.
My only concern for now will be how long it will last. I am not too fond of products made in China and this product is well... made in China. The unit (the blades) as stated in the user's manual is supposed to last for 2 years if used on a single 1 minute session each week, which I think by itself is aiming a little towards the disposable category but again for the price I have no problem with that. My problem would be if the unit would die at any time before at least six months of normal use. I started using it mid May, so I'll update this report if it fails before mid November, if I haven't updated by then, that means it is still going and it can keep its 5 star rating.
So should you get it? I would say: go for it!!

Great Little Gadget!
I was very skeptical before I purchased this item, but for the price I thought I'd give it a try. I was sooo pleasantly surprised at how this little gadget worked! terrible product
I bought two of these, one for work and one for home. They are so cheap that the one at home broke the same day and the second one at work is on its last leg. IT doesn't work that well either. Save your money.

Not for me
This item did not seem to work on any fabric I tried.Turns out it's crap.Not one speck of lint in the trap.What's up with that?I needed something that works for my fuzz ridden garments man.

You get what you pay for...

Worthless
I purchased this trimmer at a nationwide chain, and took it home to find that it is useless.The nose/ear hair trimmer sounds loud and feels powerful, but doesn't do a very good job (comparable to a cheap trimmer.)One annoying ear hair took about a dozen passes to get rid off.Today I decided to try the beard trimmer to see if I could salvage use from this product; but again, I found that a few passes over my beard did nothing at all.I then tried my old, cheap Norelco, which prompty did a fine job.In addition to this trimmer not working: the stand that comes with it is useless for holding all the bits and pieces (small comb, small brush, various heads) and it does feel cheaply made.Also, oddly enough, mine was fully charged when I first purchased it - even though the instructions say that it needs to be charged, and I've never purchased anything with a charger that had already been charged before.Now I'm wondering if the "new" product I bought was a repackaged used product.In any case, I'm returning this to the store.I suggest you not bother with this product.

Looks & workd cool as long as you don't use it
My brother in law has one of these and loves it.I liked the way it looked and my sister gave me one for Christmas.Here's my scoop:
1.If you have a place to display it, it looks great and is functional. If you must place it in a standard size medicine cabinet, you will be frustrated with the way all the pieces fall out of the holder with the slightest movement-which BTW if you have a shelf in your cabinet you will have to take the base out in order to remove the trimmer.
2.Battery life was good when I used it.
3.Trimming was 'acceptable' though my 9.00 ConAir trimmed better.
4.After using it about 7 times, the comb on the trimmer broke.It is an unbelievably cheap piece.I don't mind the cheap plastic that others complained about, I hate the fact that the piece you need to frequently move was built with replacement in mind.For the record, I am very careful with all of my belongings.
5.Remington wants $3.00 plus shipping for a replacement.So now I would be 6.00 into a shaver I could buy on ebay/amazon brand new for under 15.00.I think I will move on.
6.I liked the size, looks, and feel of it.I just wish it was a decent product.

Two or three years, still in great shape
Sorry to hear some other reviewers have had bad experiences with this product, but I love mine.Yeah, it's cheap plastic, but what isn't these days?No, it's not much use as a general purpose razor, but I never expected it to be; it's just a pinch-hitter in that area.It is, however, the best thing I've ever found for trimming mustache, beard, and nose/ear hair.Essential.Never have had any problem at all keeping a charge, either.Bargain.Glad to know it's still on the market, just in case this old faithful ever dies on me, so I can replace it easily.

Great effective 5 in 1 trimmer for a bargain!
I've had this machine for about 1 week and though I agree with the one reviewer that the product does feel a bit light and could be flimsy if you are not careful, I have found that this thing does EVERYTHING you ask it to within reason. I was using an old heavy cordless trimmer by Conair with which the battery was dying and it was a drag because the blades would pinch because it would struggle with my coarse facial hair. This Remington (be sure to get the PG200 model) trimmer however zipped right through my 3 month beard in no time flat and not once did it pinch! I was amazed!

Though it is true that if you do not prepare your beard first it will take several passes to trim your beard, I have to say though that the other reviewer was NOT using his correctly! This trimmer comes with the usual beard comb to use. Any trimmer will take several passes if you don't prepare your beard though! The length attachments work just fine too.

The "flimsy" feeling exterior is not all bad. I dropped it once from a high shelf and it survived just fine. What I love about this unit is HOW LIGHT IT IS! It is very comfortable to use and all of the attachments work just fine! It feels about like the size and weight of a wet razor. What an ingenious little thing it is. It was the best $15 razor/trimmer I ever bought! You will of course have to use a full blown razor if you want a smooth shave. The mini foil shaver is for trim only! I give this trimmer an A+ for price and usablity!

Has worked well for me
(Right about 3.5 stars)

As others have mentioned, this trimmer suffers from a bad stand design; you cannot charge it while it's in the stand.Frankly I don't bother with the stand at all; the trimmer and accessories stay in a drawer in my bathroom where they can't gather dust.

I mostly use the G250 for nose and ear hair removal.It does a decent job at trimming with this attachment.One noticeable downside for trimming ear hair is the noise: it's just a bit too loud to be comfortable.(Might just be my noise tolerance is low, as I grew up on the edge of a pine forest in Maine.)While at home I trim my beard with a larger, corded Norelco model, but the G250 worked fine performing general trimming on a couple of vacation trips.

Other reviewers have mentioned problems with the battery.I'll have to consider myself lucky in this department.I've gotten very good charge retention, with several weekly trimming sessions on each charge.

Bottom line: It's got some flaws, but the G250 has worked well for me.

If you're just looking for a ear and nose hair trimmer, pass on this jack of all trade, master of none.

Okay while it worked...
I bought this several months ago and have used it lightly - worked fine for what it was meant to do.However, when it ran out of the very first charge it would not charge up again and now I am stuck with a dead useless trimmer.Complete waste of money.

Bad Results:I had to start over on my beard!
The guide for controlling length of trimming is inconsistent when you change the angle you are holding this unit.Basically, I came around my neck to my chin and when I did this, the cutting blade came REALLY close and left about a 3/4 inch path of almost no beard in the middle of my chin!There goes a month of growing a new beard!I'm starting my beard and my search for a trimmer over.I never had this problem with my old Wahl trimmer. Lesson learned: Spend more and get what you pay for!

Quiet decent and simple performer
I purchased this around 3 months back and I can say that with my first trimmer, I'm pretty satisfied. It is simple and does its job quite well. I would say its value for money and something good to start with. The shortcoming which I felt is that nose trimmer is not that easy to convinient to use( for that matter is there anything out which is convinient in nose). Its good enough for beard, moustaches and under arm hairs.

Too expensive and unrepairable
I used to tell everyone what a great trimmer this is!I took very good care of it and probably used it on my face or eyebrows only two or three times a month.Then about ten months after receiving it, the plastic head portion that holds the blade fell off and will not reattach.I guess if I want to continue using this trimmer, I will have to figure out a way to tape or glue the head back on the unit.It comes with a one year warranty, but because I received it as a gift, I did not have a receipt.I contacted Emjoi and they refused to replace it, even though I have used it less than a year.I asked if they would repair it at my expense and was told that they did not do repairs, only replacements.So, here's another expensive little gadget that the company does not worry about keeping its customers satisfied.Obviously I will no longer recommend this Emjoi product to anyone.Save yourself a lot of money and buy the $10 version at the discount/drug stores.Then, if and when it breaks, you won't feel so badly about throwing it away.

Get a cheaper one at a discount chain store
Nowadays, you can get a similar product at any Target, Walmart, etc. for a lot less. Plus, the closeness of the shave is not that great, but can be helpful if you need a quick touchup b/c it fits in your purse or desk at work. So, it's a great emergency tool if all other options are not available.

There are identical products out there for less.
Hm, you can get the exact same thing sold under another name for less than 1/3 what they are currently selling it here for at major retailers like wal-mart and bed bath and beyond and many other places including catalogs.In fact, I used a 20% off bed bath & beyond coupon & got it even cheaper.It's called "Finishing Touch".It's the same thing down to the little eyebrow attachment and little brush.The only difference appears to be the coloring scheme, but the main body is still a brushed aluminum color.

I like mine, but I'm glad I paid as little as I did.This is a unique product which should not be unique, and I expect more trimmers like this to come on the market.It's not terribly well-made, but it does do the job.It's much safer, easier, and more comfortable than a blade.It doesn't get as close as a blade, but it does get as close as you can expect a trimmer to, and that's *closer* than the trimmer parts of more expensive electric shavers.It's a closeness somewhere between a blade and the trimmer part of electric razors, if you've ever used those.

It does use a AAA battery, and use a fresh one.It's not loud, but it does have kind of a cheap sound when it goes.Going against the grain of the hair helps a lot, as does slowing down; it's not for huge areas.The 'penlike' shape of it helps you do a good job in difficult sensitive areas and folds in the body, especially where you don't have a good view or easy reach and might otherwise hurt yourself.

These things are increasingly popular as people for men and women enjoy a different intimate look and feel.I'm a guy and I like it and use it for myself just as much as my girlfriend does for herself.They are now marketing an incarnation of this gizmo to men, making the color gray and black to seem macho and not girly, and including an expanded and confusing male-oriented "accessory kit", but even those are being sold for less than half of what this is being sold for on national commercials.

This is also helpful medically.If you are constantly using medical tape or sticky bandages, such as people using silicone patch scar therapy, or circumcised men participating in non-surgical restoration using medical tape (as I am; do an internet search on it), this thing is like a godsend, and, yes, had I not been able to get it for the price I did, I would have paid more for it, knowing what I know now.

Good for light facial hair, better for appearance than feel
I bought this product mainly for use on my light upper lip hair, and I am pretty pleased with how it works.It takes the hair off fairly quickly and thoroughly, although it does leave a tiny bit of stubble that you can feel if you rub your finger over the area.It's not really visible though (for light colored hair...I imagine darker hair would be more visible), unless you look extremely close.It is painless, definitely an improvement over using a harsh depilatory cream on the upper lip, although it does not come out as smooth feeling.It's easy enough that you could use it every day if you need to.I tried it with the comb attachment on my eyebrows, but it didn't have any effect, I guess my eyebrows are not the type that it is intended for.I agree with another reviewer that it is kind of expensive for what it does and I wish there were replacement blades available.The warranty is for one year and I envision that the product will probably stop being effective after 1 year and 1 day, but c'est la vie.I'm pretty happy with it.

Yes, it does leave a tiny, tiny bit of stubble behind but if it is just peach fuzz then it's no big deal.For darker, more coarse hair it probably would not be satisfactory. Not bad!
I use this product to cut my thick nose hair... It does a decent job. The biggest complaint is that is has a distinct smell of motor oil!

Save the 9 bucks
This item is garbage; I purchased it about a month ago and already dumped it in the trash. Sure it looks and sounds good but take it from me, it's not worth the frustration

No way!
Won't even cut hairs you stick directly into the blade. The shape and slots of the housing covering the blade would only cut hair that was as dense as a forest, and then only if you shoved it in hard.
