These things are amazing!
I have been using Cankermelts now since they were first sold on amazon last summer.They are awesome!I have found that if I put 2 in my mouth at night when I first feel a sore, my sore is gone (or almost) by the next morning. I had trouble the first time I used them getting them to adhere, but I called the company (the number is on the box)and they helped me figure it out. I never let myself run out of these things and it's nice to finally have a product on the market that actually heals nasty canker sores.I recommend these to everyone!

Very Slow to Adhere
The packaging says the disk is slow-adhering.They should have said veeeeeery slow-adhering.It takes a very very long time indeed before the disk actually sticks to the sore.I can't comment if this stuff works because I never got it to stay in place.It is also too big and uncomfortable to use.If your sore is in an awkward spot, forget it, you won't get it to cover the sore.

Finally, relief for canker sore sufferers!When I read reviews for this product, I thought they sounded too good to be true, but I am so glad I took a chance and tried cankermelts!They are the only product I know of that really helps canker sores go away, and they really dull the pain.Also, if you put use one as soon as you bite your lip or cheek, it actually prevents a canker sore from forming.For maximum effectiveness, you should follow the directions and keep a cankermelt on the sore at all times until it goes away.However, like some others reviewers, I use them mostly at night and only when I think of replacing it throughout the day. They still make a huge difference.

The reason I am only giving four stars is because they are a little awkward to use.A canker melt resembles a flat disc of hard candy which softens and becomes sticky in your mouth and adheres to your ulcer.Also, they claim that the taste is hardly noticeable, but it tastes like sweet coffee to me.It's not a bad taste, but it gets old after a while.

Still, I highly recommend canker melts.I am stocking up so I won't be caught without them!

It works!
I have suffered with horrible canker sores my whole life, and have never found anything that actually worked. Recently I got an awful sore right before my husband and I were going to be going out of town for the weekend for a wedding. I searched online for a miracle cure because I didn't want to be miserable on our trip. I found these and wanted to try them, but they don't sell them here in Utah and I knew I wouldn't get them on time if I ordered some. Luckily, my parents from Seattle were able to find them there, and they were going to the wedding also, so brought them to me. As soon as I put one on the sore it relieved the pain completely! Each tablet can last a couple of hours, and as soon as one would be almost melted I'd put on another one, and by the end of the weekend my sore was just about gone! That was after 4 days, just like the box said! I definately recommend trying these!

Works great!!!
I have had the most awful canker sores in my mouth, so painful that I could not even eat, talk straight, or concentrate at times.

I figured out that I mainly get canker sores from soft drinks, so I cut down, but now I don't have to worry nearly as much.

When I put one of these wonderful things in my mouth and adhere it to the sore, the pain goes away on the worst sore in less than a couple minutes.

The only issue is actually adhering the canker melts to the sore. This requires you to keep the tab stationary for a couple minutes where you want it to adhere, and it feels rather awkward for the first few minutes.

However, it is well worth it for hours of being pain free ...

Best of all, if I put this on a new sore, the process of healing is accelerated greatly.

I would have these painful sores in certain places in my mouth for weeks. Now, I only have to endure the pain for a few days at the worst, and even in those days I can adhere canker melts and stop the pain.

Nothing ever worked for me, but this one is worth every penny.

My favorite beauty product
I love this lip balm! I have a hard time finding it though -- few stores carry it.Lip Tone moisturizes my lips better than any other product I have tried plus it has the added benefit of spf protection. I especially enjoy that it has a tint of subtle color. I have fair skin so I need to have some color on my lips at all times, or I look washed out. I only have to re-apply a couple of times a day (usually after eating), and I do not have to worry about freshening up my lipstick which is great. Most importantly, my fiance likes when I wear it and kisses me extra.

Just a Hint of Color
Love this product.I don't wear lipstick because of the way it makes my lips feel and always seems to dry them out, instead, I wear this for that hint of color.I have received several compliments on my lipstick color and how natural it looks.I have tubes in my purse, on my dresser, and in my desk.I don't use it at night, but I use the regular Blistex Lip Balm when I go to bed.

Best of the Lip Balms
Living in dry climates like South Texas and Australia, I tried every kind of lip balm I could find.This one is very soothing, coats the lips without feeling waxy and really seems to have a healing effect for dry lips.I still use it a lot, even though living in Florida the climate is not so dry, it still is helpful.
Mine has SPF 15 which is essential if you are outdoors much.The combination of aloe, chamomile, avocado, jojoba, shea butter and sunscreens really seems a winner.
We keep tubes of this in every bathroom, the golf cart, my purse, the car, etc.

I live in an area where it gets extremely cold in the winter, and this Vaseline lip therapy formula has proven itself as one of the best lip treatments I've used. Not as Good as the Medicated Lip Stuffs!
This Vaseline lip stuff is ok but I get very dry lips that require a lip treatment that is medicated like with Blistex or any other brand of medicated lip stuff like that and this Vasaline stuff though okay for prevening dry chapped lips is NOT strong enough to heal my lips when they are already very dry!

Don't waste your money
This stuff is placebo.It doesn't work.I have tried numerous creams and lotions to help with the pain and itching from these cold sores.Go to your doctor.He/she will prescribe Zovirax cream.Now this works....awesome. You get more for your money and it clears me up in less than 3 days.

Best thing around for cold sores
I have to agree with the other praise provided so far about Abreva.Unfortunately, I've NEVER been able to "catch it in time" to have it disappear, but I can definitely attest to it's shortening of time spent suffering through them.I too was a, less than thrilled w/ the results, Zovirax user.This far beats out Zovirax for ease of pain and other symptoms, as well as the much mentioned shortening of outbreak time.That said, price really isn't a factor, this is the only product out there that can boast these effects and there is usually a coupon in the package to save you a few bucks the next time around.Also, their website, www.abreva.com also usually has printable coupons.

Best Cold Sore Medication
I have had cold sore all my life, and each year it gets more painful. I started using Abreva last year, and NO MORE COLD SORES!!! It works best when you start using it when the cold sore first appears. You only need to use it for a day or two, and the cold sore never appears. A tube lasted me all winter! I have used other medications, and they are just waste of my money. I'll pay any amount for Abreva as long as I don't have an ugly cold sore hanging over my mouth!

Have to agree..
Have to agree with the other reviewer on this product. Haven't gone to the extreme measures the other fellow has, but I find this stuff fantastic!! Every time I went to the doc, he just said, "Sorry. Learn to live with them." I had a response back for that, but I can't repeat it here. As soon as you feel this slightest tingle, start applying this every few hours for a few days, and it will take care of it without a prob. If you don't catch the first tingle, and the sore develops, don't worry, Abreva will still do a great job of numbing the pain and healing up the spot right quick, with no scaring (battle scars for me). Worth the cost for this little tube without a doubt! Grab it up quick!!

Psst! Let me tell you a secret. I've been plagued with cold sores for perhaps forty years. I've never kept a detailed record, but it seems one has appeared on a semi-periodic basis every three to six months or so. (When I lived in the South - Mississippi, actually - for 15 months, I was curiously unafflicted for the entire time. Perhaps it was the diet of spinach greens, grits, fried chicken and Moon Pies.) I've tried everything. Applying hot poultices of puréed whale blubber and the rattles from two-headed rattlesnakes. Dancing naked under a full moon belting out the theme song to "Green Acres". Consulting shifty-eyed herbalists in refuse-strewn back alleys from Cairo to Lhassa. Sacrificing virgins. But, nothing has had the slightest therapeutic effect - until ABREVA.

After forking over Big Bucks the first time for a teensy-weensy tube, it was a shattering self-revelation to consider how desperate I'd become. But, outside of that rip-roaring good time I once enjoyed in that flyblown Tripoli hotel room, it's the best money I've ever spent.

BEST LIP MOSTURIZER
I am a product junkie and have to have mosturizer on my lips nightly before I go to bed. I have tried numerous brands including many expensive lip balms and I ALWAYS come back to this product. the best Chapstick flavor
All of the other Chapstick flavors are really weird and waxy and you have to get used to them, but this one tastes good from the very first use. Vanilla mint is hard to find though. Sometimes Wal-Mart sells them. If you can find it, stock up. It will probably be a while until you see it again.

I love Medicated Chap Stick, I have one everywhere! When I saw this ad of 24 for $29.99, I figured it's a great price! But when I ordered, only one tube was shipped and amazon swears that is correct, ONE tube costs $29.99. Ridiculous! So the product is awesome, but don't buy here.

i LOVE strawberry chapstick!!!!
Strawberry Chapstick is THE BEST chapstick (generically speaking) out on the market. It is the ONE chapstick I use regularly (which is all the time), my FAVORITE. What's so great about it is-- the scent & the pretty color it adds to my lips. It is far better than the cherry flavor, but is a lot harder to find in the stores. For some odd reason, the stores choose to carry the cherry over the strawberry--they obviously haven't tried the strawberry yet. i love it i love it i love it!!!

Very useful and nostalgic
Warning!This review is rated PG-13 for language suggestive of violence.

As a child, I often had dry, cracked lips that would split and bleed.I told you this would be gory.I tried several things, none of which helped much.Chapstick was the one thing that did make the condition lessen, even though the tip of the Chapstick occasionally came away bloody (again, I did warn you!).It did not cure the condition, but it certainly lessened the problem.They used to have a grape flavor, but it tasted so good that I would scrape it off with my teeth, which was probably not good for my bloody (there I go again!) lips.The unflavored is therefore best, I do believe.

Of all the varieties of Chapsticks I've tried, I think the original Chapstick (in these black tubes) is the best.It doesn't taste weird, doesn't smell, doesn't make you feel there's something greasy or weird on your lips, and just works in all weather conditions (esp. great for wintry days).And they are inexpensive to boot.Because my sensual lips do have a natural tendency to be dry, I use Chapstick all the time, and keep one tube at every location that I frequent.I feel like a squirrel sometimes, burying their loot everywhere; but I don't have as good a memory as the little cute animals, who can, amazingly, remember as many as 2000-3000 individual locations where they bury the nuts!Anyway, my point is, these regular Chapsticks are cheap and great. ...
