The unit features three programs--for full, lower, and upper back--along with three speeds. It attaches easily to most chairs, and its cushioned layer delivers a gentle yet firm rub. 5-0 out of 5 stars Best $100 I ever spent
I tried this out last week at Bed, Bath & Beyond and knew I needed to own it. I wasn't ready to drop the $100 right then and decided to think about it...then realized I couldn't live without it.I had my back spasm during law school finals a few weeks ago and had to attempt to massage my OWN back in order to even be able to walk. This cushion would have been a Godsend. I decided with the hours and hours I sit studying, the $100 would be worth it. It is.

I'm 5'2" and don't seem to have the lumbar issues other people have. It goes far enough down into my lower back to be helpful. However, I'm not using it on a traditional chair...I'm using it on a bench with the back up against the wall. It really feels like hands giving you a shiatsu massage! I'm addicted.

I agree with people who said they would have preferred leg massage, too. I would have paid extra for that, honestly. I'm definitely looking for a car adaptor to use on car trips!

5-0 out of 5 stars The others don't compare
I tried about 5 at a retail store that let you demo them, and this is the only one that actually applied pressure. The others just vibrated.I bought it and am happy with it.It fits very easily on my kitchen chair, too, making the chair more comfortable, not bulky or anything.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Value for the Money
I was afraid that this massager wouldn't compare to the two thousand dollar shiatsu massage chairs I've tried out. And while HoMedics cushion is not quite as good, it's an excellent value for the money. I'd say it's half as good as a full massage chair - for 1/20 the price.

I use this after weightlifting to make my muscles feel better, and it seems to help quite a bit. Just make sure you don't over do it, or else you'll wind up sore in new places the next day.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Massager!!
People in software industry like me have to sit in chair for sometimes more that 8 hrs, which really cause Back-ache. I tried this massager in Bed bath and beyond and wow!! For the 10 minutes, I had a great relief...Great relief specially for shoulders!! I immediately got it!! Its great product and worth of spending money!!
Even amazon is giving 20 off when buy before May 31, 05. I would say just got for it!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Feels amazing!Well worth the price!
I purchased this for my new husband as a wedding gift. He's an illustrator who sits over a drawing board all day long and he always has the worst knots in his back.He was getting a Swedish massage on a regular basis but with his busy schedule, it was hard finding time to go.Now he can get a massage anytime he likes since this cushion fits right on the chair at his computer desk!He absolutely loves it!I use it for the knots I get by my shoulder blades and it does a good job of breaking those up.It does leave you a little sore afterwards (I noticed this more than my husband) but it's worth it.You won't regret this purchase - it really is as good as everyone says! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Own it without embarassment.
My husband and I have used a lot of vibrators and toys and this is the best one. It looks like a back massager so you can own it without embarrassment. Skip the gimmicky looking toys and give this versatile machine a try. Use it on each other to relax muscles and lightly press it to your special spot and you'll know just why I gave it 5 stars.

It has two levels of power and because it is AC powered you'll never be hunting for batteries or waiting for a charge.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great, but get the attachments!
First of all, let me talk about this thing as a massager. Well, it's great! It does wonders for my back, and even my feet, giving me a great massage. Do like my lover did, and get a nice massage oil to accompany the Magic Wand - I highly recommend Kama Sutra's Pleasure Garden. The message oil makes the Magic Wand slide smoothly and sensuously across the skin. A sensuous massage makes great foreplay, providing relaxation first and stimulation at the right time!

But, this thing is more than a massager; it is a wonderful sex toy. The lower speed is pretty intense compared to your everyday vibrator, and works wonders. (Gentlemen, remember that a woman's flesh is pretty soft compared to yours!) But, that higher speed is there for that extra shot. The soft flexible head works wonders for a wide area vibration.

Now, if you are getting this gadget, you simply MUST get the attachments - the Wonder Wand and G-Spotter. Both provide great stimulation, and make the Magic Wand the wonder-sex-toy that it is. By the way, though this thing is a little louder than a battery-operated vibrator, it is not much louder, and the power it provides puts all battery-operated vibes to shame. I highly recommend this item to every couple out there!

5-0 out of 5 stars Watch Your Girlfriend's Eyes Role Back Into Her Head
I have used the wand on women ranging from art students and retail store managers to physicians and scientists. There is universal awe.I have seen their eyes role back on multiple occasions.Just recently, I introduced a 26 year grad student, who claimed not to have had an orgasm in four months, to the magic wand. When she came, she looked like a woman possessed.

One time I left the wand at a girlfriend's house who claimed to have "lost" it in her studio apartment. It miraculously reappeared quite some time later. She indicated that "I didn't know anyone could cum so hard."

The downsides include the volume and the power, which is too much for more sensitive women.I have owned two separate magic wands. On occasion they appear to burn out (presumably the motor, but not really), when, in reality, the AC cord becomes discontinuous inside the handle. It is not clear where the wire has been damaged. This requires detaching the cord, shortening it by six inches, and then reattaching it.

2-0 out of 5 stars I actually prefer it on my shoulders.
Let's just spell it out, shall we?This is not a "massager" people. This is a vibrator.

I realise this is supposed to be the mama-jama of vibrators, but I honestly think it does better work on my shoulders than anywhere else.It works in a pinch for any other needs, but it's definitely my last choice.

It plugs in, which is good. You don't eat up batteries. But it also means that this thing is certainly NOT whisper-quiet.My washing machine on its spin cycle loaded with shoes would be quieter than this thing.I think all the street lights within a 20 mile radius dim when I click it on low.Forget about the high setting--that will blow out the entire city.I just don't think that a vibrator you can hear down the street is sexy.

The vibration is far too intense for the tender parts. It's excellent for really sore shoulders or a stiff back. But even there, it makes me go numb nearly immediately.Get it near my girlie bits and it very nearly hurts unless I've got layers upon layers separating it from my skin. And that's just on low.I can't even fathom being in the same room with the thing if it were on high.

It's also awkward. It's huge and heavy. The head is on a movable spring type thing so when you press against it, it gives. And since it plugs in and is so long, it's hard to just toss into a drawer. It doesn't necessarily fit right into any nightstand drawer without some manuvering.

If you're prone to sore shoulders from sitting at a computer all day, I'd say this thing is pretty okay.If you want to use it as a standard vibrator, I'd say go buy a $10 bullet or Pocket Rocket instead.Save yourself from going completely numb for the rest of your life and waking all your neighbours within 20 city blocks.

5-0 out of 5 stars Most Excellent
I've tried at least five different "massagers" and this is the best by far.First the amount of vibe is wonderful (low is all most should need, but high is there if required) Second it is more quiet than my previous vibs which makes me less worried about who will hear it so I can focus on me :-)Next, it holds up much better than any vib I got locally.I've had this one for over a year and a half and it still works great. The others made it maybe a year at the most.Well worth the price.Last MY HUSBAND LOVES IT.Use while having sex and he can enjoy the vibes, too.[...]Oh--if you like stuff to insert it can come with attachments, but I didn't like them at all. When you put them on the head of the vib it doesn't let you stimulate the clit anymore.Bummer.Hope this helps. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars ONE GREAT MOTHER'S DAY GIFT
I got this massager for my mother-in-law for Mother's Day and I didn't know what to expect as she had been complaining about her tired feet after a long day at work. She said it worked so well that my sister-in-law used it the following day!She LOVED IT and said it was a great gift.I will be heading over to pick one up for myself! Now this is definitely the gift that keeps on giving!Talk about some happy feets =)

5-0 out of 5 stars MY FEET ARE IN LOVE!
I have always had a lot of "stress" in my feet.Massaging them myself never seemed to do the trick but it was better than nothing.I also had the misfortune of having EXTREMELY TICKLISH FEET.So, looking for someone or something to massage my feet was not top priority.I happened to come across this massager on Amazon.I had seen other "massagers" but they never peaked my interest. This one seemed different so I read the reviews. One mentioned that if your feet are "sensitive" you can wear socks.Well, that sort of scared me as my feet are ULTRA sensitive.I decided to give it a try.BOY AM I GLAD I TRIED THIS.

When the package arrived I was SURPRISED ABOUT HOW LIGHT WEIGHT THE MASSAGER WAS.Very convenient to store right under the couch so it will be used rather than end up at a garage sale.

Then I plugged it in, turned it on and waited a little for it to heat up (more like warm up).I took off my socks and put one foot on.OH MY GOODNESS did it tickle. So I put on my socks.Still a little ticklish but I found spots that did not tickle.Best are is the "pad" right under the big toe.

The metal beads went to work. You (or at least I) could hear all the pent up tension (gristle) being worked out.It felt so good. Then I tempted fate and I repositioned my feet. And, much to my surprise, my feet felt soooooo good that they were no longer ticklish!Off came the socks!

It was hard to tear myself away from this new "toy".Next thing I knew it had been almost an hour!My feet felt sooo good. This will definitely be a nightly routine.

As for the heat, it does not get "hot" but does provide warmth which is good when you use the machine without socks. The warmth also makes it less "ticklish" I believe.

So, as I was putting my new favorite machine away, a thought came to me . . .another area of much pent up stress is the hands.I always massage my hands but again, it is never the same when you do it yourself. So, I plugged the machine back in and thought I would see how it did on my hands.WONDERFUL!I had a "knot" in the base of my hand the machine worked right out.Again, because the machine is so light weight, I just placed it on my lap, sat on the couch and applied my hands.(Be careful not to apply too much force as that tension of applying pressure negates the effect of the massage and also I did notice that if the weight was applied unevenly it did seem to "wear" on the massager.)

This is yet another Homedics product I am VERY PLEASED WITH!No regrets here at all.I love the style of the "leather" and the fact it is so light weight. It makes it convenient and not bulky (very important to someone with very limited space).I love the effects, seems different from any other machine I have seen. And, for those of you with ticklish feet, your feet will be sooo happy they will forget they are ticklish.I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS MASSAGER!

5-0 out of 5 stars My family is fighting over it!!
I was given this massager as a gift last week and I need to fight my family for time on it.It takes a few minutes for the heat to get "hot", but I am happy to wait for it while my feet are being massaged.I also have a Foot Spa with the bubbles and water and I much prefer this item because it gives a deeper massage, I don't have to fuss with the water and it takes up a lot less space. It is especially worth it for those of us who have sore feet on a regular basis. It is the best product that I have used for my sore feet.I do not recommend it for those with overly sensitive feet or for someone who just wants a vibration and that tingly feeling.

5-0 out of 5 stars I'm in heaven!
I bought this product because it had so many good reviews and it definintely lives up to its reputation! It actually works so much better than I thought it ever could! This has got to be one of the best products I've purchased in a long time. For someone who spends long days on their feet, this massager is great to come home to!

5-0 out of 5 stars Mother Likes It
I ordered this for my mom and she really likes it!She wanted it for Christmas but she had to wait until Valentine's Day and I guess it was worth the wait.
Amazon shipped it very quickly and mom said it was a great gift so there you go! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Good quality at a reasonable price
First impression of this product is favorable. The chair is comfortable with a relatively firm seat cushion. It is an attractive chair with leather on the seating areas and matching vinyl elsewhere. The arms are sturdy molded plastic.Be aware the seat cushion width is 19.5 inches - which may be tight for larger folks. I replaced a ten year old office chair with this produce and am pleased thus far.

The massage feature works well and the controls are similar to a high end hand held massager. It has full features for controlling which motors are active, the intensity, as well asvariable pulse. With high intesity the chair tilt mechanism tends to vibrate and cause some minor noise.A transformer is included which can power the chair directly or charge the battery.Manufacturer claims 4 hour battery life, but I have yet to test that feature.

Build quality is good. All hardware has one spare, and the bolts include thread lock to prevent backing out - which was a problem with my older chair.Assembly is simple and the only tool required is an allen wrench which is provided. It took me less than 30 minutes to assemble.

Bottom line is that I would purchase this chair again. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great product, excellent value for the money.
I bought this item for my wife, who has a pinched nerve in her back and visits the chiropractor on a regular basis. This item, in conjunction with a few other items that I bought at the same time, have become her new favorite items in the house.I've played around with it, and it's an extremely deep careful in your first use of it that you ease back into it, since if you're sitting it up against a hard surface and leaning back into it, you may wind up actually feeling a bit of pain instead of a soothing massage.

5-0 out of 5 stars Love it!
I get a lot of tension in my neck and this massager is wonderful! It takes a few tries to figure out whats the best position, but it does work.

1-0 out of 5 stars Definitely not worth it...
... I purchased this as a gift for my girlfriend and boy was she not happy.

Do not purchase this product unless you are looking for either yourself or a loved one to be utterly disappointed.

It might make a great break-up gift.

It's not adjustable and not quite comfortable with that "free included headrest."Unless one has an overly sized neck, it'd be great to move around the fat (again, it's not adjustable to work the muscles).anyways....

I would recommend going for a handheld massaging device.

5-0 out of 5 stars Works well, great price
I bought this massager because I constantly get tension headaches, which result in pain at the base of my neck.A shiatsu-style massager is the only type I have found that can massage deeply enough to get the kinks out.

My mother owns a Shiatsu style massager of a different brand, and it works just as well, but hers is heavier and bulkier to tote around. The Homedics SM-100 is lighter AND less expensive!

5-0 out of 5 stars pretty good

4-0 out of 5 stars NO More Pinching!
This newer model (HoMedics PA-100) does not pinch like the older model did.I like it much more. Its just a little weaker than the older model but still good.I still highly recommend it.The price was a great buy!I depend on it a lot.I use it at least 5 times a week for an hour and its very silent.Have only used for a month.Hopefully it will last!

On a personal note:The truth is always stranger than fiction!! Question Everything and have an open mind!!

5-0 out of 5 stars This model has certainly been a winner for me.
My purchase today will be the third one of this model I have had.I broke the first one by accident by lowering my adjustable bed onto it.The second one, I had to repair the broken cord at the unit's handle.

I have an injured back in two places, so first thing in the morning I sit on the edge of the bed and vibrate my back until I get loosened up a bit.I also use it while lying down, holding onto the cord and letting the weight of the unit's head rest on various areas of my back. This unit's versatility and ease of use really works for me.I prefer no heat. The thing I like best about it is that the contour of the whole unit is such that it doesn't easily snag on t-shirts or blankets: at least on this model.I have tried other vibrators shaped similar to this one, but to no avail, as all others that I have tried catch or rub on clothing.I use the unit on the lowest speed, which allows for a certain rhythm, to let the head bounce off my back, giving me added percussion; however, the unit will actually vibrate very rapidly at high speed.

I began purchasing this model years ago and paid $60 at that time, and today I will pay less than half of that. I'm very happy to find that Amazon is selling this exact model.I would highly recommend it for self-massage on your own back, as it is shaped such as to allow holding onto the top of the handle while dropping the unit's head over your shoulder and down onto your back. The only downside is that, although the manufacturer has done a fine job of protecting the cord at the handle, eventually the cord will break with constant flexing over a long period of time.I use mine approximately 3 different sessions during each day, and it has lasted me about three years before needing to work on the cord.

Remember, this is just the opinion of a long-time user of this model. It may not work for you, but it sure has done a good job for me over the years.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best for Back Pain
-Durable, I dropped it couple times
    -Very long cord
-You can fell the power of its pulses
    -Varible Speed

    -Heavy for lady
-Must use for large body part such as back or legs

In conclusion, it works perfectly. I love it. However, you may also want to check out the model that comes with heat massager.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Machine
My girlfriend has had one for 1 year and 3 months and it still works perfectly. We use it quite a bit (3-5x per week), sometimes for 30+ minutes. It is heavy, and it needs to be in order to massage deep enough. She paid $39 for it and felt that, that was a good deal (it's the model with heat - which I don't think makes much of a difference and is probably harder on the machine). At this price it's a no-brainer. 5-0 out of 5 stars AWESOME ITEM!
I am a CHRONIC back pain sufferer.I have all types of devices I have tried on my back from the back pounding massager to the roller ball device, etc.NOTHING has given me relief like the Theracane. This is the PERFECT thing to get at those knotted up muscle knots you get in your back.I used to try laying on a tennis ball or mashing my back on something to rub those bunched up muscles spots, but nothing really helped.THE THERACANE DOES DOES DOES!I love this product. It has helped me literally dissolve a spot that has been tight and knotted for years! The best thing is you don't have to have someone do it for you--you can fix your problem areas all alone. It's really an incredible product.I'm so happy I tried it.My entire family uses it.You won't find ANYTHING at this price that can help your back like this is helping mine. I truely love it!It WILL help you if your back pain is from sore, tight, knotted muscle areas. ... Read more

    2-0 out of 5 stars Cheap product...beware!!
I used this product for about 2 1/2 months before it crapped out.Now it won't even turn on.I'll admit though it was nice to have under the desk while I worked but now it is a worthless piece of plastic. The heat function is nothing great either.Just a bunch of red LED lights for all I can tell.

If you want to buy a foot massager, it might be worth spending an extra 10 or 20 bucks.Although the HoMedics one when it works, isn't bad for the's really a cheap product and will not last.

5-0 out of 5 stars Oh this is good!
I recently decided to indulge myself a little bit.Hey I'm 42 and have been raisng my kids, (and husband) diligently for a long time now.So on my birthday I slurged a bit on Amazon.I bought(and am highly recommending all of these): this amazing foot massager- heaven, singing lessons on CD- Voice Lessons To Go by Vaccarino because I was just tired of hiding my voice when we all would sing in the car, The Artist Way by Cameron so I could feel some sort of creativity for myself again, and the New Sex Now video (well that was for me and my husband).Well, happy happy. We should all splurge on ourselves just a bit sometimes.Aren't we worth it?

    4-0 out of 5 stars Ho-Medic-tastic.
    This is a great massager.

There's nothing I like better than lounging around and getting a foot massage from my ho-medic while eating a nice ho-made sandwich.

3-0 out of 5 stars I'd rather stick my feet in a hot bucket of Jello
For the price, this product isn't too bad, but don't expect too much from it.The "massage" basically amounts to it vibrating a lot, which can feel somewhat nice, but not as much as I had expected. The unit also doesn't put off much heat at all.You can get more heat from sticking your feet near a light bulb.

However, being able to control the product with my toes was fairly nice, and I do use it occasionally.I just don't think it should have been labeled as a"Pro Ultra."There's nothing really "ultra" about it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good product for the money
My husband bought me this massager for my birthday.I'm an elementary school teacher, and my feet are always tired and sore.

In response to a few other reviews here, I must admit that the machine doesn't heat as much as I'd like, and the cord is about a foot too short, but I really do consider this a good value for the price.

The foot pad area is large enough to accommodate feet even bigger than mine (!), and the massager, especially when set on high, hits all the right sopt, just on the bottom of the arch, and that sore spot beneath the toes. After a good 15 minutes of "regular" massage, I like to curl my toes under or contort my feet sideways, to get even more coverage!

No, this isn't a miracle cure for tired feet. But it's a nice, relaxing end to a hard day.I recommend this product to anyone with realistic expectations of its benefits, but who still is willing to take a chance on a nice, relaxing product. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars This things is just great.
I love this little massager. It works like a little dynamo and it's much better than I thought it would be.It's an incredible deal for the price.Give yourself a few minutes with it and you'll walk away more relaxed and serene than you were before.

1-0 out of 5 stars Precise, true, but not powerful
    had the 2 sided 1 which is strong-this 1 doesn't do the trick.If you like a powerful massage-don't bother.Get a shiatsu pad.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very Good for Precision for Painful Muscles
It is nice for once to have something that isn't a huge yard stick to use. It is light enough and the strap works great so your hand isn't fatigued. It's good so that if you're working on someone else, you can get closer & have a free hand to work on other parts of the muscle, etc.

Also, since it only has one point instead of the usual two, you can get into more precise, smaller areas of hypertonicity (knots) such as under the scapula (shoulder blade) without worrying the other ball on other machiens will vibrate painfully the bones nearby.

The strength of the machine itself could be better, but the more you press, the stronger it gets, & it does get the job done. The fact it uses a dial instead of just 2 or 3 speeds is a GREAT idea. You have perfect control to use it as percussion on slower speeds and vibration at the higher speeds.

I gave the heat function 10 min to get hot, and the tip was still only was slightly warmer then room temperature. Though when you took off the tip, the mechanism was burning hot, so be careful.

Because it's design & the dial function, and it's ability to be stronger the more you press, I love using this on my clients.

3-0 out of 5 stars I'm a girl who NEEDS mechanical foot attention.
I am always begging my boyfriend for a footrub.
I have a great, pedicure place that makes my crazy nail creations last for weeks. I just need a relaxing soak in between.
We're renovating the house. It takes so long to clean the tub for a luke-warm, shallow soak that I consider hosing myself off in the backyard instead.

So I was searching for a little help. And I got it. This is a pretty good little footbath, except a few things. The little rotating massager is in a bad place - there's nowhere to comfortably put your foot to use it. And the pumice stone goes so fast I was scared I'd sharpen my foot like a pencil. That thing burns. I have NO IDEA what the infrared thing is supposed to do.The jets are functional, but don't really expect a massage. The water heater works. The heater is really uneven - you feel it when it kicks on, then coooooool...then hot!

But, the water does get decently warm, and that's good. Easy to carry back and forth to the bathroom. Easy to dump the water. The little rotating pieces are neatly tucked in a storage space. The bottom nubby things are nice to grind your feet along for a sorta massage-y feeling. The water gurgles pleasantly. The dogs really, really, really enjoy getting a few sips out of the thing.

So it's a nice between the pedicure, home renovation stop-gap measure that still doesn't get my boyfriend off the hook for foot massages.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great buy
    HoMedics Spa ultra
I used it last night for two hours. It really helped with my heal spars.
You have control so you can turn it off and on when you want.
It was just what I was looking for. It warms up the water and keeps it very hot not warm. It's jets are really powerfull and feel great. I was told in the store that this has the best jets and they were right. It also has a pedicure section that is hand free.
My husband used it too and he is at size 13 foot. He loved it as well.
The laser red part was perfect for my sore heals. It applies heat directly on your heal, but you have let it heat up first for 10-15 min.
All in all I was very happy with my buy. It was more then the others, but worth the money. At least I have something to relive the pain for a while and my feet are back to normal.Don't waste your money on anything else. This product is great.

4-0 out of 5 stars I'm happy with it but there could be some changes
I just recieved my foot spa today and I'm sitting here using it now.My feet are toasty and feeling very pampered right now but there are a few flaws that I have found already.I wanted to really test the foot spa since it said it heats cold water up in 5 mins.I used cold water and it was heated up in 10 mins, so I'm not complaining. But I can't tell what the infared heat is supposed to do for your feet.I don't feel anything from it when I place my foot on the infared area (red area) which is what you are told to do in the manual.I also can't tell the difference in the water jets and the bubble jets.I have tried changing them a few times and they both feel the same to me.

When your water starts to cool off, just turn back on the heater (you have to have the jets on to heat the water up).Right above the infared area (red area that lights up) there is a nozzle for your attachments. When you put an attachment on and press down on it with your foot, it will spin very fast.It actually tickles on the sole of your feet. And right above the nozzle, in the purple area, there is a little cubby hole to put your attachments in.There are convenient pour spots along the top of the unit as well, so you don't have to worry about spilling it all over the place.

Overall, I give it a B+ and my feet are happy!

4-0 out of 5 stars Quite good for the price

3-0 out of 5 stars Charybdis it isn't.
Yet another disposable gadget from the Conair people, but not without some redeeming qualities. The two water jets are quite strong. They won't convert your bathtub into a Jacuzzi, but they're capable of applying genuine hydropressure to a 12-inch strip of one side of your body.Since most bathtubs have only a single side, you'll need to make certain that the side to which the Spa unit attaches is the one next to the anatomical part in need of treatment. Also, check with your spouse, partner, or fellow bathtub users before installing the item.My wife has already said she wants no part of the device and that in removing it I'd better be sure those suction cups don't leave marks on the porcelain.Even if you did leave the spa in place, it would be a bad idea, since anyone using the shower would get the top half of the machine wet, which the instructions indicate is a strict no no.

The machine has a variable switch. If your bubbles go flat or rubber duckie gets stuck in a quagmire, just put the switch into "bubble mode," which increases the frequency of the jet streams and stirs things up a bit more.

But the real genius of this machine is its built-in light. It's exactly the same size and brightness of one of those bicycle headlights that require the rider to generate the power.I would love to meet the engineer who came up with this inspired final touch, which preoccupied me throughout my entire bath.I can't come up with a single functional or aesthetic purpose for the light, which is probably why the Conair designers installed it--to kind of distract the consumer from the unit's actual limitations. On the other hand, the light does, after a while, give the machine a sense of "personality."It's kind of like the little bugger is staring back at me, and I'm quite sure I detect a smile.I wonder why and at whose expense.

5-0 out of 5 stars Know how to use it
Don't use the jets below the water line or it won't work well. If the jets are right at the water line it will create some good turbulance and give the feel of a whirlpool. Our family enjoys this very much, well worth the money.

5-0 out of 5 stars She loved it
My wife loved this item. No, it does not replace a true hot-tub. Would you really expect that for 50 bucks? But she really did like it. She said when she closed her eyes she felt as though she was in a whirlpool. The kids, however, do think it turns the tub into a hot-tub. It is quiet, and rather powerful and overall worth it. I was impressed at the power of the jets and the motor is low noise. When I walked into the bathroom it sounded like a bubbly hot-tub. I would recommend it.

3-0 out of 5 stars Needs more power to agitate the water more
I have used bath spas before and all of them had plenty of power. This is nice, but you don't really feel anything.I thought about it and faced the water jets AT each other for more power.

1-0 out of 5 stars You should just get a straw and blow bubbles!
Stinko! I ignored the noise the first night I used it because it was very relaxing. Unfortunatly, by the second night the machine only worked for five minutes. I tried charging it as the instuction said and the next night it worked for about ten seconds. I do not recomend this at all. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Desert Essence Love Massage & Body Oil
My first experience with this product was several years ago when it was used on me during a professional massage. The scent was so different and pleasant, and the effect on my skin was so very soothing, that i sought out the brand from the therapist.I now use it regularly after showering, and often as both a dry patch moisturizer and a healing oil for skin irritations.Nothing had worked previously for me on psoriatic flare-ups, and this wonderful oil actually provides not only relief and healing, but also soft skin and an awesome fragrance.I don't know what I would do without it!

I really liked this product more as a body oil for after bath or shower, than I did as a massage oil. It's great for smoothing over just-shaved legs! It's a very rich oil, somewhat heavy -- but with a very light, refreshing, and somewhat exotic fragrance. It's wonderful as massage oil too, but keep in mind that because of its richness, a little goes a long way. This is a good sized bottle and should last quite a while. I believe this is something I'll order again.

I used it mainly as an after-shower moisturizer for my legs, which are usually dry. It was very good for that -- it left my legs feeling smooth and I couldn't see the dry skin. I had to rub it in quite a bit, so that I didn't deposit oil on any of my clothes, but if I did that, it'd disappear into my skin. I found my legs still didn't look so dry even at the end of the day. It does have a strong citrus scent, though. I liked the citrus smell, but others might not.

We've had this showerhead for 2 years now & it still works as well as when new.The flexible arm moves easily into whatever position you put it in, so you can move it up & down for different height people, or over towards the wall when getting in/out of the shower. You can adjust it to just over your head to quickly rinse out shampoo (some shower heads take forever to get your hair rinsed). My husband & I each have our own favorite massage setting. You just keep turning the head to get the 6 different settings.

5-0 out of 5 stars The First Showerhead to Satisfy the Whole Family!
My family has never all been happy with the same showerhead in our hall bath until now.The Flexible Shower Massage from Waterpik not only offers 6 different spray patterns, but can be adjusted in seconds for people of all heights. My husband is 6'8" and this is the first showerhead he does not need to duck under. It is also perfect for me at 5', and our kids can pull it down to create the perfect shower for them as well.I also love it because it is flexible enough for rinsing the entire tub surround. Thanks Waterpik for making us all happy! ... 4-0 out of 5 stars I got this chair for a whole different reason
Okay, I've only had this chair for a week and used it about 4 times, but i'll tell you what i think so far and kinda address some points i've read in other reviews. READ THE LAST POINT IF YOU'RE A MOM or MOM TO BE or...know one :)

    1) the fabric is a silky, stretchy, shiny material. Pretty comfortable to me. it does look like it would be easy to clean. as others have said, it would be super if it came in a plush velvet or chenille, but it doesn't and this is actually really comfortable. mine came in black just as the picture on Amazon.

    2) the light onmy chair is *NOT* flimsy in any way. its strudy as can be and more than adequate to read by. my 3 small children have been messing with it and haven't been able to cause the slightest damage to it yet and that's sayin' something.

3)i LOVE the heat feature and think it works VERY well. it gets my back hot enough to make a big difference when i'm achey or sore without it getting too hot where you'd have to turn it down.

    4) the massage doesn't feel a spa treatment at the Four Seasons hotel...but it gets the job done. its more of a relaxing vibration and in conjunction with the heat is a very pleasent and helpful experience. i always hate to get up from it and look forward to sitting back down in it.

5)i have not tried to move it to the center of a room or anything to see how well it stands up on its own, i have mine on my bed where my bed pillows usually are and so the back is pressed up against my headboard. this works great and is how i intended to use it to begin with.

6)the big arms on the side *rock*. they could be extended slightly to be a little more useful (longer i mean) but its definately better than not having them at all and trying to hold your book in your lap with no support under your elbows.

    7) honestly, i got this chair for a whole different reason that they probably never thought of....breastfeeding. it keeps my sitting upright, just the perfect amount. the arms on the side help keep my arms elevated perfectly to support my newborn in the perfect position to breastfeed...AND the BEST part of all...the heat and vibrations!! i'm still achey from the pregnancy and being up all night with feedings and the heat is *heaven* on my back...without having to mess with a heating pad slipping down the pillow and getting bunched up and having to fix it all the time. the vibrations lull both me and my newborn to sleep constantly. i highly recommend this for this purpose! it sure beats a Boppy or a nursing pillow! with extra perks for mom...when you need it most :)

    hope this helps someone...

5-0 out of 5 stars Its good.
    Just got it. Some observations:

    1. I thought I had ordered a black one, based on the picture, but the actual item was gray. I'm still keeping it, but what the hell?

    2. As many reviewers pointed out, it IS hard. Or 'stiff'. The cushions in it are not soft. But I wouldnt say that it is uncomfortable. I actually rather liked it. It gives very good back support, and helps keep you awake when youre reading. Helps the posture. Its definitely not uncomfortable. I could even see myself sleeping in it if I were tired enough.

    3. The big fat arms on the side are a great luxury. Most bedrests do not come with such side-support as this. They dont extend out too far tho (the picture is a bit misleading). You'll have enough room to put your elbows on it, thats about it; not your whole forearm.

    4. The attached light is pretty cool. The stalk is made of coils of metals. It isnt cheaply built. And works well enough to read by.

    5. The heat and massage functions - They're okay, though i'm not going to use them much. The massage function is fun for a while. Its not going to cure your lumbar problem, but you might turn it on now and then as a luxury.

In sum: All bedrests should be like this. The days of piling up pillows behind me are over!

4-0 out of 5 stars Does Its Job
Well constructed unit that provides firm lumbar support and conveniences such as a soft reading light and side pockets. Its comfortable enough that even a bad back like mine can enjoy an entire movie on a portable DVD player while sitting up in bed in it.The massage and heat are basic but effective.

1-0 out of 5 stars Stiff as a board
Everything works and it seems durable. Definitly not relaxing, unless you find it relaxing to sit perfectly straight upright while you read!Don't waste your money.I would send it back but I threw out the box too soon.

4-0 out of 5 stars Relaxing and supportive
I am 5'3" and the configuration of the back and neck rest work well for me.The light is enough in a dark room yet does not disturb my husband.I am happy with the support it provides when I want to sit up and read.Normal pillows just can't do what this does.
I also like the firmness of the cushion.Great product.

Only thing I would add is a cupholder. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Instant Home Hot Tub
I disagree with the negative reviews of this product. If anything, it works better than advertised. One complaint was that if you turn it on and leave it running, by the time you get in, the water's cold. Well, don't turn it on until you're ready to get in. Another complaint was the unit is surprisingly loud. It's also surprisingly bubbly --more like a gym hot tub than a home Jacuzzi. The instructions say not to use it with soap or shampoo (not to put it in the hose), but any shampoo or soap that spills in the tub instantly turns into a mountain of frothy foam. Is this thing fun or what? The leaflet also says to dry the mat and sanitize it now and then, but if you can, just disconnect the hose and leave the mat in the tub. It makes a great bath mat, and it's always ready to transform to hot tub mode. Suction cups hold it in place, so it's easy to remove the mat for cleaning. The unit plugs into the wall, but there's no danger since the hose is long enough to keep the unit away from the tub (and most bathrooms have GFI electrical outlets for backup protection). The only problem is that once your friends see your Bubble Spa, they'll want one too, and the tub will suddenly become a popular destination for your roommates or family.

3-0 out of 5 stars Relaxing but not good if you have a plastic kind of tub
I purchased this item quite some time ago. At the time of purchase I had a bathtub that was the plastic-like kind. This product will not affix to this sort of tub. However I recently moved to a place with a regular style tub and the suction cups work great. This product does run more loudly than I expected, but does provide as promised a wonderful tub full of bubbles.
I too noticed that the air tended to cool the water, but solved this problem by running the bath hotter than I normally would. Overall I like it although it isn't something you use for a "quick" bath.

1-0 out of 5 stars Ice cold and quite loud
I was excited to receive a BubbleSpa Massaging Bubble Mat, and looked forward to many relaxing baths.

Upon assembling and starting up the unit, I was pleased to see the thousands of bubbles that filled my tub. Although the unit was *extremely* loud, I overlooked this in anticipation of a relaxing spa experience.

Upon entering the bathtub (which I had filled with hot water minutes earlier), I was shocked to find that the water had already turned cold. Upon further investigation, I realized that the air being pumped through the Homedics unit and out to the spa mat was producing ice cold bubbles, which quickly turned my relaxing hot bath into an arctic nightmare.

I am not a fan of cold baths, and could find no use for this product.

I contacted Homedics to give them my feedback and got this generic reply: "Unfortunately, we do not sell direct, so any type of refund must come from the place of purchase."

If you like cold baths and loud noise, this unit is for you. Otherwise, you may want to consider another product if your purpose is to relax in the tub.

4-0 out of 5 stars Very good value. But don't use soap.
Reviews of similar bath spa products mention problems with noise, suction cups, and cleaning.
These issues exist, but I believe they are minimal when comparing cost with product.

I find this to be a very good value.

I was impressed at how strong the jets really are.I was expecting much less power from this mat that seems more like a pool toy than a "spa".
The pressure was surprisingly strong and massaging.
In fact, my nearby book (which I had intended to read while soaking) went untouched as the only thing I wanted to do while using the spa was close my eyes.

All of the suction cups do not stay in place, this is true -- but I found it was only a minor inconvenience.
I had no problems with the cleaning -- as you need only to spend an extra minute pooling the water near a hole and turning the blower on.This takes no strength, not much time, and really should be expected of any product like this.

Regarding noise.Yes... it is noisy. But so is being in a real jacuzzi tub.In fact, if you had a jacuzzi tub in your home you would be dealing with even more noise.
    These things are not quiet.

My biggest single complaint is that you are not supposed to use any kind product in the bath water.
No soap, oils, salts, or gels of any kind should be used.
This means you are not going to be cleaning or moisterizing at the same time you are "spa-ing".
Therefore, you might end up bathing twice in an evening.
That is a pretty big inconvenience.... but... all in all I think [$$$]or such a powerful at-home jacuzzi experience is an excellent deal.

2-0 out of 5 stars Very noisey
Although it is very powerful, it is also very noisey.Imagine being in your bathtub with a running vacuum cleaner right next to the tub. That is the effect. It is very effective in turning the tub into a bubble spa, however I would suggest earplugs if you are tring to use it to relax. ...
