This book stand is an excellent buy. It's made of really heavy-duty plastic - I would feel comfortable dragging it around in my laptop bag all the time. It holds hardcover books of various sizes and trade paperbacks extremely well. The best feature is, without a doubt, the spring-loaded page holders. They sit less than 6" apart so they fit even my smaller paperbacks, and the springs hold the pages down while I read.
