Very Inaccurate Monitor
Higher blood pressures from 130-150 systolic, and 90-95
diastolic, were wrong. Also if one takes beta blockers for
hypertension, this model gives wrong readings.
The monitor's month, & date stops working 1 year after purchase, despite inserting new batteries correctly.

VERY INACCURATE
At the lower range of blood pressure the device is accurate. BUT- as blood pressure goes higher, it is very, VERY inaccurate. My Doctor says it is not safe to use. If you have one, DON'T TRUST IT !!! Using the device has resulted in very misleading info.

Not Accurate
I bought my Lumiscope1092 and could not wait to try it out. I followed all the enclosed instructions to the letter and away we went to check my BP. Wow!! 202/62...Am I comatose?? I took another one 192/92..whoa! I better get to a hospital Fast!! Wait I'll try it again 185/60 with a 40 pulse. I am Doomed!! Are you getting my point. I brought this product with me to 3, Yes 3 of my Doctors to get it calibrated. Whoops cannot do. no way to correct it. I am stuck with a new toy for myself. These numbers are all over the place. Totally useless I was told by all of my doctors. Only get the mercury upper arm one the doctors use for a true reading. Stay away from this one!!

you should not be without it
it is a great product. The machine does all the work, ones you put it around the wrist and push the button, you are done. The most important - it is really easy to use. It displays large numbers, so a person does not need glasses to read it. It stores readings in the memory, so their is no need to record them.

My mother would not live the house with out it. She has high blood pressure which is controlled by medication, but sometimes it still elevates, so she need to take an additional medication. She uses the machine at least three times a day to monitor her bood pressure. ... Read more

Faulty scale!
After ordering my first one I found that it was defective after only 2 uses.Then I had the second one sent to me and it just seems to be a really poorly made or designed item.I have to move the scale around my house about 20 times before it stops reading "error" and lets me weigh myself, because it's very particular about the flooring.Even my hard word floor, a surface that for all intents and purposes looks completely FLAT to me, is too tricky for it I guess.I regreat buying this scale and wish I had purchased another brand.I give it 2 stars however because when it DOES weigh me, it's very accurate.

Great scale
This scale is very accurate and looks great. I previously had a Taylor that cost almost twice as much, was about 2 lbs. off plus was inconsistent. I sent it back and ordered this Tanita. What an improvement! This scale reads about the same as the balance scale at my gym and plus it weighs in .2 lb. increments.

Thrilled with this
After years of buying digital thermometers that sometimes worked and sometimes didnt I got sick of wasting my money on them.I went looking for a non-digital and found this one.It looks like the old fashioned mercury thermometersaltho it is a bit wider and a tiny bit awkward to keep in your mouth.HOWEVER...despite this I wouldnt go back.It is very accurate and unlike a digital if I use it and get a temp..and than immediately do it again, i will get the same temp.Unlike the digitals which had wildly different temps...

I also want to say my son broke one on a ceramic bathroom floor and I was a bit nervous about how I would clean it up.The silver doesnt *ball* up like mercury...it kind of spreads out and sticks.Almost looking like I had silver plated the tile.I checked the makers website and looked for an MSDS on toxicity and cleaning.I am happy to say they were exactly right, it cleaned up well with a liquid cleanser (a spray) ... with a dry towel or just water it just spread around but with a spray cleanser it came right up.

I would really reccomend this despite having to figure out the cleaning issues...I just havent found the digitals to be reliable and this is the best option I found ... Read more

Very good pedometer
I am really satisfied with this pedometer.It stays clipped on my belt really well (I had one of a different brand that fell off and broke), the display is large and easy to read at your waist, and all the functions are wonderful.I shopped around a little (ended up buying it at The Sports Authority for the same price as online), but I'm glad I ended up with this one.It's great to see how far I've travelled in the day.

Great pedometer!
I was skeptical at first. This is my first pedometer, and the only reason I had never bought one before is because I had heard from many friends that they can be difficult to calibrate. But I found that calibrating this model was a snap.

The Sportline 345 is relatively basic. It tracks steps, distance, and calories, and it has a clock. It does not have the capability to save your data over several days, so you just have to reset each time you want to use it.

The clip keeps it relatively secure on my waistband, but I have two boys under the age of 2, and they have a habit of pulling or knocking the device off. Fortunately it stills runs perfectly even after many bounces on the floor.

One word of advice ... shop around. I bought this model and found other Sportline pedometers for a LOT less money at a major discount department store. The price here is pretty much the only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5. ... Read more
