It's a Magnifier
I ordered this item on January 16 and received it January 21. It is not a hands-free item.You need to hold it up from the page for the magnification to work so you can't lay it on the page and keep your hands free to do something else like hold the book and read or prop it up and type from it.The clear plastic container it comes it states that it is best held 4" up from the page being magnified.I wish it had stated that in the description for this product.I would not have purchased it in that case.I wanted it so that I could inconspicuously magnify the words in my book while reading on a moving city bus.I rated it 3 stars because it does work but it lost 2 stars with me for not forewarning in the description that it needs to be held up and away from the item being magnified.

Great Idea But Poorly Executed
While the features and adjustability of this tiny alarm clock sound enticing, I am regretting my purchase.

The light is not very bright. The radio on it is cheap. I can only faintly pick up my favorite station to wake up to, and since I like to wake up very gradually, and listen to the radio during my morning routine, the fact that this unit shuts off after an hour is not convenient. The sound quality on the radio is also very harsh and tinny - not desirable first thing in the morning.

I would probably return it if the seller weren't going to charge me a 30% restocking fee.

I couldn't imagine waking up to anything else.Sooooo pleasant, and I am NOT a morning person!

The Sun Also Rises....Not!
After I managed to break the globe on my beloved Biobrite Sunrise Alarm Clark and was unable to find a replacement, I settled for the Soleil out of desperation and against my better judgment. It looked way too small to wake even a mite and, boy, was I right! "Compact" does not even begin to describe the Soleil's diminutive dimensions.Now, to be fair, if you happen to be a light sleeper in a small space, and you're facing the clock with the bulb aimed squarely at your eyelids, and you happen to respond to its rather anemic glow, then maybe, just maybe, it will wake you up. But if not, you better use the beeper function or late to work you're gonna be.Better yet, buy a REAL sunrise alarm clock and not this overpriced toy.

I've grown quite attached to this wonderful alarm! A bit smaller than I had thought - but now I can't imagine going back to using using a noisy alarm.Mornings are now so much more enjoyable.
