For stiff, creaky knees
I used to have creaky, stiff knees - like rusty hinges.Since I started taking Cosamin DS (one in the morning, one in the evening), my knees do not creak and are not stiff.

I recommend Cosamin DS to anyone who has the same problem.

The best glucosamine/chondroitin

Great product for kids!!
I wanted to give my child a multi-vitamin to make sure she was getting all the vitamins and nutrients she needed.I went to her doctor and he recommended Gummy Vites as an option because they are easier for kids to take.

I feel better in knowing there is something good for her that she will take.And what's better is my daughter loves the taste of these vitamins!!Highly recommended.

There is no lead.Do the research for yourself!
There were several independent labs that found no detectable lead in the product.The lab that tested it and came out with the lead story gets internet subscribers by getting stories done.They also charge the companies.This just seems wrong to me.I called the lab and the company and I believe the product is fine.From what I can tell the testing was done a long time ago on one batch and may not have been done exactly right.The company gave me much more info than the lab did.My kids and I love these vitamins and have used them for years and we will continue to buy them.

Beyond the lead issue..this is bizarre. Gummy bear vitamins? Unless the child is old enough to understand the difference, what is to stop them from mowing down regular gummy bears because they are under the impression they are good for them? The same with cough syrup suckers, it is medicine, not candy. I would never give these to my kids

Do more research on the lead issue
This product was reported to be contaminated with lead in the June 2004 issue of Oprah. However, the company that made this claim (ConsumerLab.com) clearly has an agenda:to create a scare and drum up publicity (and subscribers). Interestingly, ConsumerLab.com promises not to publicize negative results for manufacturers who pay them off--I wonder if they let their subscribers know that? Two independent labs have found no detectable lead in this product, so given that and what seems to me to be clearly unethical behavior by ConsumerLab.com, I would say this product is SAFER than most other kids' vitamins, which have not been subject to so much scrutiny. (Note: I'd never even HEARD of this product until reading the Oprah article, and have no financial interest in the manufacturer. I'm just angry that a small company with a good product may suffer so ConsumerLab.com can get more subscribers.) Take a look at the gummybearvitamins.com web site for their response.

great product
My brief review; this is a great product, that is an alterative to Dr. Sears OmegaRX. Considering he created The Zone, I'm not surprised there's an alternative product, that's less expensive. This fish oil does NOT repeat on your, no bad aftertaste. I strongly recommend this product if you need to incorporate this into your diet.

Omega zone perfect fish oil rocks!
i've been taking this particular fish oil for several months and I am extremely satisfied with the results I've been getting, i.e.: no more dry skin, better brain function, less joint pain, more energy, etc. Seldom experience after taste, seems very digestible.I'm really disappointed Amazon is not carrying this product anymore. You had the best price and often times free shipping if I bought over $25 worth.

Omega 3 With Toxins Removed, Plus No Fishy Taste
These have been my favorite for almost two years.I had been looking for an Omega 3 supplement that (a) doesn't strike back with that awful fish taste/smell and (b) doesn't have toxins such as mercury in it.Toxins are a major problem with deep-sea fish-derived food supplements such as Omega 3 because the toxins collect in the fish and then travel right through the manufacturing process (becoming more concentrated along the way).When I asked GNC, they didn't even know that their Omega 3 supplements might contain mercury or whether their supplier did anything to remove it.Zone Perfect is the only one I've seen that acknowledges the danger, and they use a process called molecular distillation to remove mercury and other toxins.I used to order these directly from Zone Perfect until I discovered that Amazon is much cheaper.

Have used for well over a year without a problem
I've been taking the Zone Perfect Omega 3 for at least a full year. And I do feel better. I can't tell you that it's all related to these capsules as I exercise regularly as well.

I do not get any fishy aftertaste from these. I always take them with a meal and that seems to keep away any type of aftertaste.

I find it more convenient to purchase these through Amazon than to buy Omega 3 in the supermarket where it is generally about twice as expensive for what is often a no-name brand.

The line of Zone Perfect Nutrition Bars are great as well - especially as afternoon snacks if you are trying to loose weight.

Very low dosage AND bad taste!
What amazon doesn't say is that the dosage is not standardized, and ends up being next to nothing... just enought to give you a bad taste in your mouth an hour later. : )

Do you take statins (ie: Lipitor, Mevacor..et al)?
If so, then you will want to take this as well.

I have been on statins of various types for over 10 years.As time has passed, I began to suffer from fatigue, stiffness and muscle pains.

A recent blood test showwed that my CPK levels were slightly elevated, but not so much so that I should be alarmed.I began to research C-Q10 in regards to statins on the web and discovered a lot of information describing how statins reduce natural levels of C-Q10 in the body which leads to all of the above problems.If it is not addressed it will eventually damage the heart.

Suprisingly, I found that Mercke had actaully been awarded 2 pattents on statins with C-Q10 included in the medication specificall becuase of the known problems with statins.Why they have never manufactured this combinations is a puzzle, but I have concluded on my own that it is to keep that "bad news" about statuns under wraps; who knows???

Here's what happens.All cells have mitocondria to provide the cells and muscles with energy.Statins zap the process that happens in the mitocondria by inhibiting the production of C-Q10 on the body.Without C-Q10, the mitocondria can not do their job efficiently and then the muscles begin to suffer because of this.Your heart is nothing more than 1 big muscle and it will suffer along with eveything else.

Within 24 hours of taking C-Q10 my symptoms had virtually diappeared.After 2 weeks I fell 10 years younger as all of my strength and agility has returned.

Great stuff!Do your homework on statins and then decide for yourself if this is right for you.Personally, I will not go 1 more day without taking this.i am at 150 mg per day and that seems to be just right.

a life saver
i have had heart problems for 20 years . one of my biggest problems in the last 10 years was with premature ventricular contractions (pvc's) . i had a defibrillator implanted to take care of the problem . was still having pvc's , not enough to shock me with defibrillator , but would tired me out so that i was to tired to do anything . someone recommended co q 10 and within a day or two most of my pvc'swent away . mentioned this to the doctor , he said there hasen'tbeen a study done on co q 10 because the pharmacys won't make any money on it . may feel a pvc no more than once a month . i swear by co q 10 and don't know what i would do with out it . have tryed different brands and have found that some work better than others , i am happy with natrol 100 mg. so if you have a problem like mine i would highly recommend co q 10 . i call it the miracle drug or vitamen ,what ever you want to call it , works great . hope this helps someone , thank you ( i might not be here if it weren't for co q 10 )

Coenzyme, Miracle cure?
I was diagnosed with Dilated Cardiomyopathy, which is a heart disease characterized by weak pumping action due to weak enlarged heart muscle.The function of my heart five years after being diagnosed had declined leading to a possibility of heart failure.I was told by a friend about this Coenzyme Q10 and researched it thoroughly.Even though the doctors didn't support the use of it for my heart problems, I tried it anyway at a dosage of 100 mg a day.Within 3 months my heart improved by a great amount.So I now take 150 mg a day and am hoping for a full recovery.I will not know how much it has improved until my next visit.It is a great supplement with no side effects (at least I never read of any or had any myself).It helps lower blood sugar, helps you lose weight, and helps replenish cells in your body.I can't say enough good things about this supplement. ... A "nutritional" supplement with Red Dye #40 ?
Bausch & Lomb is normally associated with excellence in any vision product. That's why I'm disappointed in this product; the pro-vision properties may be great but I'll never know - I'm sensitive to the Red Dye #40 they add to color the capsule.

I was taking it regularly when I started having Red Dye sensitivity reactions - for me, mild dizziness (this is not imagined, I've had confirmed reactions to Red Dye 40 for many years). The Dye was not listed as an ingredient on the bottle, but found that it did have it when I later researched the ingredients.In fact, I think many people may have mild sensitivities to Red Dye 40 and not know it - it is surprisingly COMMON in everyday food/supplements.

I'm still looking for a "good" vision supplement for my over-40 year old eyes!

Doctor Recommended
An emergency visit to the eye specialist for sudden floaters (a possible sign of retinal detachment) revealed another problem: small 'age spots' on the macula of both eyes. Symptoms of macular degeneration, a major cause of blindness. Only one family member had the problem and that was at 90, but because I was much younger the symptom is serious. The doctor handed me an eye chart to measure my vision quality at home, a bottle of Ocuvite Preservision, and a write up on a study that showed this supplement slowed down, stopped or even reversed macular degeneration. Fear is a mighty motivator. I don't miss a dose. When I first started taking them I noticed a distinct improvement with the eye chart. Since that improvement things are staying steady. My vision tests 20/20 with glasses but there has always been a slightly lousy quality. It is subjective but I felt there was more 'light' in my vision, as if higher watt bulbs were put in the light fixtures. I tried a different brand using zinc acetate instead of oxide and it seemed to be even more effective but it killed my stomach worse with each dose. So I can't take the other brand regularly. This Ocuvite is very easy on my stomach. I don't notice any side effects at all. I can take it on an empty stomach before going to bed with no problem as when I forgot to take it earlier (and I swear it when I do that my vision is noticeably better in the morning). I graded it down for two reasons. First they use that cheap synthetic 'dl' vitamin E. As this pill replaces a lot of the vitamin E that I was already taking, and as this vitamin E is very important to my vision, I resent having the synthetic, unusable 'l' version mixed in with, and interfering with the very good 'd' form of vitamin E. My eyes are a big deal. I can imagine those lousy 'l' molecules keeping some valuable macular cell from getting the protection it needs. Why they want do an anti-blindness product with cheezy ingredients boggles my mind. Second, the product is loaded with food coloring, and a filler called crospovidone that has been sneaked into almost all supplements in the last few years. Povidone chemicals (P-O-V as in poly-viny, like in poly-vinyl-chloride or pvc plastic drain pipe - get it?) used to be mainly in eye drops. Now it is hard to avoid it. I go to a lot of trouble to avoid eating this additive and I will be using the eye supplement for the rest of my life. So for now I eat crospovidone with resentment while I search for a replacement. Maybe Bausch and Lomb will see this and make a more natural product for 'lifers' like me. Meanwhile until something better comes along anyone with a family history of macular degeneration or bad vision in old age should considering taking this. And, the price on Amazons is unreal! Great For Travelers
As an airline pilot who travels a lot, I have a difficult time eating as well as I would like when I am on a trip. My doctor recommended taking psyllium daily to ensure I get enough fiber in my diet, but I hate packing and dealing with the powdered supplements when I'm away from home. Good stuff
When starting Niacin, I was worried about 'flush'.Slo-Niacin still can give you a flush, but is usually briefer (2-3 minutes) and milder than I've heard described for 'instant-relase'.

After taking it for about a month, I rarely get a 'flush' but occasionally just a tingle.Now up to three a day, to get 1,500 mg per 'The eight week cholesterol cure' book.

DAIRY FREE!Thank you L'il Critters
Thank goodness for L'il Critters! All three of my children have severe food allergies. My oldest son is severly allergic to all dairy, eggs, nuts and some fruits. I have been looking for so long for a calcium sup. for him that did not have dairy in it. Most cotain calcium lactate or something of the sort. To top it off he is a very picky eater and thank goodness he LOVES these chews! Thank you L'il Critters.
