Does the job
After reading the reviews for this and the 400 model, I bought this toothbrush last week to replace a much costlier sonicare. I prefer the sonicare but at the price this one cannot be beat. It works fine and does the job at a much lower cost.

Brush the way your dentist told you....
This toothbrush works just like you might expect it to, without any fuss. It vibrates up-and-down.It does not spin round-and-round.

I have used mine for two years, and only once had a problem.The brush started to wimp out on me, but then I noticed I had unplugged the charger.

You can spend a lot more $$ to get a fancier brush that works no better, or you can spend a little less to get a round-and-round brush that is no more effective than the kind that work without a battery and cost only a buck or two.

Best brush at a low price, too!
We've used the Waterpik electric toothbrushes for over 15 years and are always disappointed when they "retire" a model because we either need only a new handle (the nicad batteries don't last forever) or a couple more brush heads. But every replacement model is just as good as the original and the DT-300 is no exception.

We like it because it has the normal "toothbrush" shape to the brush head and the holder (two brushheads) is small so that it doesn't take up much room on the vanity. It cleans our teeth well and it's comfortable to hold.

About the only downside is that I have a small mouth and the brush head sometimes hits my teeth making a 'klunk' sound. It took me a few times to figure out what was happening and now I try to keep my mouth open wider. I can't actually feel it when it does this, just hear a small bump sound.

kept teeth from getting darker
when i used the product, i can't say that my teeth got any whiter. but they didn't get any darker either. when the tube ran out i switched to regular toothpaste because i couldn't find any more of this kind at the store, and about a month later i noticed that my teeth had gotten a good bit yellower. if you're looking to cure discolored teeth, then i don't know of any toothpaste that will help, but if you want something preventitive, this stuff is perfect.

I was hesitant to try this product because I'd used whitening products in the past with little success. But I was pleasantly surprised with this toothpaste. These are a must for anyone with dental issues
I have had dental issues for a long time, with a dentist-phobia beginning as a child.I brush and floss at all the right times, and have dental visits with complete cleanings three times a year, but still have gum problems.These brushes fit in between all my back teeth to work the gums, keep the buildup to a minimum, and remove anything that flossing may have missed.They may not be for everyone, but if you have special needs they work very well. ... May not work for everyone
Although Oral B Super Floss offers several features for people with braces, bridges, and other dental work, including a wide, spongy area for teeth that are further apart, I found the regular floss section to be hard to get between teeth that are close together and harsh feeling against them. The shape of the regular section is roundish, compared to the more ribbon-like, flatter Glide, which contributes to the difficulty in getting it into narrow spaces. If your teeth or gums are sensitive, or if your teeth are close together (as my molars are), I'd recommend Glide or a regular floss used with a threader instead. ... Read more

Many brands of toothpaste are so overly sweetened ...
Many brands of toothpaste are so overly sweetened and overly flavored, that I find myself avoiding brushing, or using a very small amount of toothpaste (so that it's sort of pointless using it at all). Tom's Cinnamint is a welcome change. The flavor is mild, but still strong enough to freshen your breath, and it isn't sweetened, so that the overall taste is quite pleasant. Also, the texture of the ""paste"" is somewhere between a paste and a gel, not chalky or gooey, and it foams up nicely -- it's really very unique. It's a real delight (especially in comparison with some smack-you-in-the-mouth toothpastes).

I liked it, but my kids didn't! It wasn't sweet enough for them. I liked the Cinnamint flavor. It does lose its flavor too fast. It cleaned my teeth nicely, though. I might recommend it to friends. It's a good price for a natural product.

I'd give Tom's of Maine Toothpaste with Fluoride an ""average"" overall rating. The Cinnamint flavor was pleasant, but the toothpaste didn't leave my mouth feeling particularly clean. I'd try Tom's toothpaste again, but in a plain mint flavor. The Cinnamint might be a good option for those looking for something other than standard mint toothpaste.

Great but noisy
I had been using a Cybersonic toothbrush, but the battery on that stopped holding a charge (not even for a single session), so after reading that the Pulsating toothbrush was the best, I bought this.

It seems to clean much more vigorously than the sonic toothbrush I had been using.It even made my gums bleed a little initially (though perhaps the Sonic simply didn't firm up the gums enough), though that went away.When I replace the brush head, it always feels a little rough on my gums, though that goes away over time. I'm not sure whether the worn brush head or the new one is actually better for my teeth/gums.

My main complaint is that this toothbrush is MUCH noisier than the sonic brush.Before I used to brush while watching TV, but now, I have to turn the TV way up to hear what's going on.

Also the timer doesn't start timing after you turn on the brush.It starts timing since the last time it vibrated.But I don't really brush according to the timer anyway, so it's not a big deal.

Unlike my sonic toothbrush, I have had no battery issues so far (after a year of use).

Replacment heads cost TOO MUCH!!
Toothbrush excellent; my denist recommened it to me. But the cost of replacment heads are way way way too much! after 3 replacements you've boughten another braun electric toothbrush. So, buy it and use it and pay the money. Or....if you've got the muscle and the time do it the old fashion way.

My teeth are sparkling
Yes, it is true, I haven't had this clean feeling in my mouth since my last visit to the dentist. The Oral-B is made in Germany and is a joy to use.

My only problem is with this description from Amazon: 3 Flexisoft brush heads, 1 PowerTip brush head and brush head Storage Tower included. Do you see the number three (3)? And the number one (1)?That makes 3 + 1 = 4. Right? Not true at all, my toothbrush has two (2) brush heads. So, caveat emptor, Amazon, FOR SHAME, for false advertising.Maybe that is why it was a Gold Box item. Speaking of which; where is the Gold Box anyway???

Buy the brush, you'll enjoy it and your mouth will be much healthier.

Cleanest Feeling Ever
This toothbrush is so incredibly efficient and technologically intriguing, that my boyfriend helps himself to it. I will never go back to my old toothbrush. Quite an investment but worth every penny. You can do like I did and ask for it for Christmas. Thanks Dave and George.

Amazon with erroneous details...
Just to clarify...this is actually the Oral-B ProfessionalCare 7400 (not sure why Amazon is using the part number as the model).Inside the box, it contains
- 1 Oral-B ProfessionalCare Power Handle and Charger
- 1 FlexiSoft Brushhead
- 1 DualAction Brushhead

That's it.It doesn't have extra flexisoft brushheads, Interspace brushheads, or Powertip heads.I spoke to the Amazon CSR and told them to fix it almost 3 weeks ago, but it is still wrong....

Now aside from the misleading details, the toothbrush is great and works like everyone said.Since it was my first electric toothbrush, I thought the first time I used it that I needed to brush really hard in conjunction with the vibration.But after a few tries, I realize that you just need to "stir" gently in circles and let the toothbrush do the work.

Just a few notes to beware of...the head does tend to retain water, so make sure you flick it dry before you put it in the storage compartment.I would also recommend that people give it a FULL charge (16 hours) before the first use (as stated in the manual). ... Read more

relief!
I do not get ulcers, but when I use sodium lauryl sulfate toothpastes my tongue and cheeks get severely irritated and even begin to peel.This toothpaste has given me complete relief from my maladies and I can't be happier!The only annoyance is that I can't buy it in stores.

This is one AMAZING toothpaste!!!!
never thought i could get so excited about something like toothpaste, but wowee is this stuff great. i had developed a sensitivity to toothpaste containing sodium lauryl sulfate, which would induce outbreaks of very painful sores on my tongue. after doing some online research, i found squigle.

it tastes great, leaves my mouth feeling very clean, is very mild and just perfect. the only negative i can think of is the price--but it's worth not having a painful mouth all the time.

Great product
I was diagnosed with Perioral Dermatitis by my dermatologist in Nov '03.She indicated it is caused by toothpaste (I was using Colgate TOTAL for 3 or 4 years) and I needed to use plain old-fashion toothpaste with NO "bells & whistles" and I had to take antibiotics to cure it.Dermatologist also tells me their office is seeing more and more of this due to all the fancy new toothpastes coming out on the market.

Internet research on the diagnosis led me to Squigle Enamel Saver toothpaste.It is truly mild.During the years I used Colgate TOTAL (which I loved because my teeth felt sooo clean), whenever I used plain old regular Colgate it would taste like bland cardboard to me and I'd go right back to the TOTAL.Now that I've been using Squigle for over 4 months, when I pick up my husband's regular Colgate, it burns my mouth.Remember, this is the regular colgate that tasted so bland when I was using ColgateTOTAL.

Another thing I noticed after using the Squigle for a couple of months---I don't need the daily flouride treatment for my sensitive teeth anymore. Last week I used regular Colgate once a day in addition to Squigle the other times of the day, and my teeth are becoming sensitive again.Evidently there is *something* about Squigle that keeps my teeth from being sensitive.Not putting more flouride in my body is fine with me.

Interesting note --- the only other 'active ingredient' in Colgate's TOTAL is "triclosan."Before I was diagnosed I had switched face moisturizers and the newer one really irritated that rash on my face.Triclosan is listed as one of the ingredients of the newer moisturizer. I hate to toss a $30 bottle of Clarins moisturizer, but I do NOT want Perioral Dermatitis again.

Triclosan is an anti-bacterial agent used in soaps and many other products, to prevent bacteria growth in the product itself.I my case, this is probably what caused my particular case of Perioral Dermatitis and I'll have to read ingredients labels for the rest of my life.

This is a four week program, so I'm only half way through it, but so far it seems to be working! It doesn't have a very pleasant taste, and you need to leave it in your mouth for quite a while.... but it leaves your breath fresh and seems to be showing results. So far so good!

It really works! My teeth are whiter, definitely. The one slight problem with it is that you're required to brush your teeth for an extended period of time. Then, you're not to rinse for another period of time. This is a problem if you're accustomed to brushing right before bed, and falling asleep before the required time has elapsed. Overall, however, I would recommend this product if you have discolored enamel from smoking, coffee drinking, age, etc. It does the job. I'm very happy with the results.
