Works as advertised.
This toothbrush and flosser combo has lead to healthier gums and more comfortable cleaning at the dental checkups. I no longer have any visible plaque.

Two things to consider:
This is a single user brush. Even though it comes with extra brush heads, the manual warns against its constant removal and replacement so as not to weaken the fitting.(I change the brush head every month.)So, each member of the family will need to have his or her own SC500U.

The vibration is VERY powerful.One must develop a precise technique of navigating the brush within the mouth without having plastic part of the brush head or stem contacting the teeth.You'll see what I mean the first time you hit a tooth - it'll rattle your skull.I have since become well practiced in moving the handle so only the bristles touch my teeth.

I no longer use dental floss as this flosser is great, although the tufts are difficult to insert between the teeth.The bristles bend and scrunch up easily.I wish Salton would come up with monofilament versions in various thicknesses.A rubber gum massage tip might be nice, too.

Great toothbrush
We initially purchased the Ultrasonex toothbrush to replace a rotating head electric toothbrush that we didn't like.We were so impressed with how clean it got our teeth and how easy it is to handle because of the ergonomic handle that we bought another one for our kids to use while wearing braces.The flosser is just an added bonus.We didn't realize it but this item is from Salton who makes the George Foreman grill.No wonder it is such a great toothbrush. ... Don't get this!
This "machine" is not good at all. The clean between mechanism is so big that you cannot fit it between your teeth unless you have gaps. You really almost have to force it to get between your teeth. Great toothbrush, Bad Battery! Stay Away!
I owned both Cybersonic 2 and Cybersonic 1 versions. I have to say that it is a pretty revolutionary toothbrush. Very easy to use and cleans excellent without a doubt. The only problem is the battery! It usually dies very fast and cannot be replaced. Fast means even in few weeks. I followed all charging instructions, yet had no luck. This is not a single case, even a replacement toothbrush from "Bed Bath & Beyond" had the same problem. I've had 3 of these, but I finally got the clue! My recommendation to you is stay away from this product, it is probably a waste of your money. Moreover, Amden Corp. which is the manufacturer of this product is known for their horrible attitude and customer service. They were reported to the Better Business Bureau by hundreds of unsatisfied consumers.

Never Cleaner
When I first purchased this toothbrush, I was a little hesitant to believe it could do what it said it could.My room-mate has had one for years and swears by it.So I went out and bought my own.After the first time using it, I could tell the difference.I no longer had that feeling of my teeth being dirty only a couple of hours after brushing them.My dentist also notice the difference in my teeth.I was never one for flossing my teeth, because let's face it, flossing is time consuming.However, with the already strung flossing heads, it is not as time consuming as it was.I can now take better care of my teeth and not spend alot of time having to do it.This is one product that I would gladdly recommend anyone getting. ...
