I wish I had found this sooner.
Anyone who has used the original Icy Hot knows that their clothing sticks to their skin after they apply it. That unpleasant feeling has always made me hate using it. Those days are gone now!

The patch has all the benefits of the original Icy Hot ointment, but without the mess and notorious smell. If you press the patch firmly on to your skin it will stick for at least 5 hours.

If your pain is in your neck or upper back, I would also recommend you take a look at the "Sealy Posturepedic Encompass Fiber and Foam Extra-Firm Support Pillow" ASIN: B0000CEVOP. It has also helped to alleviate my pain.

messy but .....
suffering from hemmorhoids as a result af being pregnant.no other over the counter or rx treatment helped relieve the pain and swelling.this worked wonders.for under 10 bucks i would definitely give it a shot.just be prepared to get dirty because of the charcoal.

The moist heat fomentation thing is good
I have owned a Thermophore moist heat pad since the late 1980's when I bought one from Lechmere in Manchester NH (the store's not there anymore, no fault of Thermophore). I still use it when I strain a muscle. I first found out about Thermophore pads when I was playing softball and inexplicably but badly strained my back. My father said, you need moist heat so go lie down while I get out "the Thermophore." Well anyway, you lay under it with your finger on the switch till it gets uncomfortably hot, very hot, as hot as you can stand. Then you let go of the switch and stop the heat. Finally! Something that works!
This product is amazing. I was on vacation, having driven for 11 hours to my destination, and my back was so sore and stiff. Advil chewable tablets in grape flavor
I decided since my oldest son was turning eight that I would look for another chewable aspirin product that was more suited to his age bracket. Since we had yet to try one in the Advil line of products, I chose to purchase Advil Junior Strength Chewable Tablets in the grape flavor. There are twenty-four tablets in the carton, which is wider and smaller than the other products we have tried in the past.

Designed specifically for ages 6-11 in either fruit or grape flavor, especially for those headaches and toothaches that this age group experiences. The pills are large, but do last eight hours.

This one shows the arrows you need to follow in order to open the cap. At the same time you need to press on both sides of the container an indented spot. Once you have pressed those you turn the cap completely to unscrew it. When placing the cap back on top you will need to turn it all the way around until you hear a snap indicating that it is safely closed.

With chewable tablets I tend to give my son half the dosage and wait to see if he complains thirty minutes later. This conserves the small supply they tend to have in these products, plus he does not have to chew as many tablets each time. It is important to note that the dosage is totally different with the Advil Junior Strength Chewable Tablets. I noticed that my son's weight was in the next age bracket, but since that meant a half tablet we just went with two tablets.

One dose is stated to last for 6-8 hours and each time my son has taken a dose he has not needed a second dose later on in the day or evening. He did not balk at the grape taste and was happy to only have to take two tablets. The taste was not too bad since he made no noises or gestures as he was chewing or afterwards!

My son has taken the Advil Junior Strength Chewable Tablets for toothaches and headaches thus far. It is easier to dole out with fewer tablets for him to endure, the taste is pleasant and the tablet seems to be extra safe proof. The price is a bit more than I have paid for the other products, but worth the extra buck or two.
