The best reusable, short-term cryotherapy
I had knee surgery (ACL replacement & torn meniscuses) on February 4, 2005, and my formal physical therapy sessions are three times a week for 4-6 months. My physical therapists use the Elasto-Gel Cold Wraps exclusively in their practice. The wraps are the only cold pack I've ever encountered that uniformly cools the entire joint surface. Even the expensive cryo cuff unit I rented for my first 12 days post-op didn't circulate the cooled water below my knee. The Elasto-Gel Cold Wrap, in contrast, wraps snugly around the entire knee joint and provides instant and lasting cold therapy -- a welcome relief after each thrice-weekly PT session! This makes those cheap cold packs you buy at the drug store obsolete... you know the kind that stay cold for all of 5 minutes before turning to mush and take 12 hours to get cold again.

Needless to say, within my first two weeks of physical therapy, I had to order one of these for at home use. Anyone with chronic joint pain or impending knee surgery would be wise to add this to their shopping list of post-op care items. You will not regret it!

These wraps are also microwaveable so they can be used to provide moist heat. However, they're far better at providing soothing cold therapy and that's the use I give them a 5-star rating for.

Too much
I agree that the product is good. It absorbs quickly and there is no stickiness. I've only been using Progesterone for 2 weeks now and the past few nights I've been sleeping better than I have in a long time, when this close to my period. My true rating is 3.5 stars. My complaint (and it feels like a big one to me) is that one full pump is a heaping 1/2 teaspoon (I measured it). If you ever try to rub that much lotion into your body all the once, you'll see that it's a lot, especially out of a shower on a cold morning & the cream feels cold on the skin. I did some math and figured that it has approx. 175mg of progesterone per oz. Most creams have 450mg, reason why you have to use so much. It's concetration is too low. I'm going to try Progesta-Eze (bummer that Amazon doesn't have it), but I might be back to BioEntopic.

I am using this product to avoidendometrial hyperplasia after my perscription for progesterone and physician treatment was over. I have had to use large dose progesterone from a compounding pharmacy for medical treatment. It did wonders. Now that my serious medical condition is over, I am continueing with a USP progesterone cream. While you are looking at products you must find 2 things on the lable. One is USP progesteron and the other is the dose level. This product has both. Run from products that do not. You would be wasting your money.

Being chubby and over 40 and female usually means being estrogen dominant. Estrogen dominance leads to a lot of health problems. This cream is the best one I have used, out of 3 brands, because it is not too sticky and thick to be rubbed into your skin. Some products just sit on the skin no matter how much you try to rub them in. This product starts absorbing while you rub so you do not have a waxy layer on your skin. I have used it on my face and neck without breaking out into a rash.

For me, turning 50 was a trip. I was not looking to grow beard or mustache hairs, have horrible periods, or migraines that lasted 5 days. I was not looking for massive bloating, insomnia, or anxiety over acne. My lowering progesterone levels gave my estrogen levels dominance but also increased my ratio of testosterone. Progesterone use has made it so I can sleep. And when I look in the mirror, after 3 months I look better without the acne and all the whiskers. Thank God.

All the progesterone cream products are expensive. Some do not have the ingredients you need; some do not rub in. This one, in my humble opinion, is the very very best. Plus it allows you to create a half dose by using one pump worth instead of two. This means that you can decide how much you need.

A lot of savy elderly women are using these products to try and stop osteoporosis because progesteron helps calcium metabolism. I do not recommend using any progesterone product by every perimenopausal women who refuses to consult a health professional. Progesterone creams are not the fountian of youth and self medicating is stupid if you do not know what you are treating yourself for.
