5-0 out of 5 stars Better than huggies
I had my son in Huggies for the first year or so, then switched to Pampers cruisers and am very happy with the change. The papmers are lighter weight than the Huggies and I have had less leaks with the Pampers. As for sizing, I've found that all these diapers vary even though they say they are all the same size. For example, a size 4 diapers goes from smaller to larger with the following progression:Huggies Supreme->Huggies->Pampers cruisers. So if you are finding your Huggies size 4 getting small, try Pampers cruisers size 4 before moving on to a size 5. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome - cannot complain EVER !
They are really good , maybe "good" is an understatement, they are excellent. I have never had any leaks, and my daughter although being very restless and naughty, yet there have never been any leaks, The stretchy sides are good and they do not smell bad even though they are not scented. The price may be a bit on the higher side but with these deals they are worth trying and using. I will only say 1 thing, if you love your baby buy PAMPERS CRUISERS !

5-0 out of 5 stars The best ever!
My second baby finds me a wiser more diaper educated parent and this is the only diaper for us. I tried the cheaper huggies and even cheaper luvs and eeww. Leaks galore and a suspiciously high incidence of rashes. I am so ticked off that our local Costco is not carrying the Pampers #3 anymore but Amazon saves the day! With the free shipping its worth every penny.

5-0 out of 5 stars No diaper is better!
We started out with pampers because they are the diapers we received in the hospital. We fell in love with them right away, but wanted to see if there were any other brands that might be just as good for cheaper. The answer is NO! Huggies bulk up right after they use them. My daughter got a rash from the grocery store brand. This by far are the best diapers on the market! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Best deal and quality product
Pros: Best value goes to Pampers Baby-dry. If you are patient enough, Pampers and Huggies are alternating their sales at amazon pretty much every other month. They sure beat everywhere else, including Costco, even with coupon. Think about the hassle of collecting coupons and the funny looking of store checker, and getting only a jumbo or mega that lasts 2 weeks if you are lucky. Also, Pampers is slightly cheaper than Huggies, yet larger.

Cons: Workmanship inferior to Huggies, but still quality stuff; Often scented so baby might be allergic.

5-0 out of 5 stars Really great deal and great diapers
These diapers are great, period. What's more is that the people at Pamper's claim that all the size 1-2 diaper cases really have size 1 diapers in them. The size 1-2 boxes however, especially this one, are cheaper than the size 1.This makes for a really great deal.

4-0 out of 5 stars description is wrong
These diapers are great. However, they tell you it fits up to 18 lbs, and the box says up to 15 lbs.We wasted more than 1/2 the box because my three month old grew out of them too quickly.

5-0 out of 5 stars Product description incorrect
I love these diapers because they're soft and work well. However, the product description for this item is wrong. I just received my order, and the box says that it fits babies up to 15 lbs., not 18 lbs. as in the description. Too bad that I won't be able to use the whole box in time.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best diapers
These are the best diapers out there. I used these for my son when he was a baby now I use the cruisers. I tried all the other kinds out there-huggies, luvs, store brands but they are not even close to being as good as these. These are a little bit more expensive than some brands but they are well worth it. I highly recomend these.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Diapers

5-0 out of 5 stars When it comes to Diapers, Stick to Pampers....
I am by no means a "Brand Snob"-I buy Target Brand Formula and shoes from Walmart. However, when it comes to diapers, I will ONLY buy Pampers for my 1-year old daughter. In my attempt to save money, I did try numerous other brands like Huggies, Luvs, and Walmarts' White Clouds. Pampers simply are the most absorbent and Leak-Proof Diapers you can buy. In my experience, Huggies are simply not as good as drawing away moisture from your child's tender skin and they produce tiny "gel-like" granules when they become wet which is a bit worrisome. My second child got Horrible Diaper Rash from wearing Huggies when she was a newborn - I'm talking about a RAW and RED bottom. I switched her to Pampers and the rash went away.
And unlike my first child who didn't mind frequent diaper changes (LUVS worked fine with her), my second child DETESTS them. She will scream and twist her body. So, to be honest, I don't change her unless she has a "soiled" diaper or a wet diaper that is FULL. Sometimes she'll go 3-4 hrs in a pair of Pampers and she's totally fine.AND I HAVE NEVER HAD THEM LEAK.I would ba afraid to try that with any other brand. Yes, they cost a bit more but in my opinion, they are worth it! ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars A fatal design flaw makes this unit quite painful
I have had a previous model panasonic trimmer, but it gave up the ghost and I had to replace it.So I went with another Panasonic.

My old Panasonic didn't hurt. Its blades were configured to hit the hairs at a more right angle, cutting cleanly and quickly.Hairs could only enter the cutting zone of the head on the SIDES of the cutter, not on the tip.

This (reviewed) unit allows hairs to enter the END of the cutter, where they are TWISTED out of your skin.It hurts like crazy - and I'm highly pain tolerant.I think they must have done it to make the tip smaller. But it's a totally ineffective compromise. It made my eyes water and started an insane sneezing fit.Entertaining for my wife, yes, but this thing is no good. Not even worth returning - this is hitting the trash can.

5-0 out of 5 stars Vital

As I learned in the course of making my 2 instructional dvds for adults, "New Sex Now" and "Goddess Worship", good personal grooming is vital for creating intimacy and close relationships. I would highly advise that anyone with an ear and/or nose hair "issue" to use one of these groomers or one like it in order to deal with the issue and make it a non-issue. Small things like a few stray hairs sticking out of the wrong place on your body could damage or eliminate your chances with a given individual, and thus make you miss out on an opportunity to enjoy the sweetness of life.

1-0 out of 5 stars Save your money for something else
I took the trimmer out and pop a new battery in and it didn't even start. I heard there might be some quality issue with this product but this is ridicules. I didn't even had a chance to use it.
    ** Update **
Amazon immediately sent a replacement and I received it in 4 days. The trimmer seems to pull the hairs out of the nose in order to cut them. This is the first time I'm afraid of a nose trimmer. I will recommend people to use with care.

1-0 out of 5 stars TRIMMER???
It did not trim the hair but pull the hair out...It is a good accompaniment if you are on the highway for a long long trip...When you are sleepy, just trun it on and pull your nose hair...Better than any refreshing stuffs!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Hygiene is KEY~!
In the course of making my DVDs on sexual Mastery, NEW SEX NOW
and GODDESS WORSHIP, I had the opportunity to create some
very special intimate moments with some very amazing women,
and I can tell you that personal hygiene is KEY to creating intimacy.

It's tough to get close to a woman if you've got ugly ingrown hairs pocking up
your entire face and/or neck. The Braun cleaning system is that extra step of
caution that I use to make sure my razor is not working against me instead of
for me. My wife is extremely appreciative of my smooth, clear skin every time I shave she rubs my face with appreciation.

But by all means, do not let a less-than-smooth situation take away
any opportunities you may have to enjoy life's greatest pleasure.

5-0 out of 5 stars Works as Advertised
Before I switched to the Activator, used to bathe my Braun foil and cutter in alcohol after every use. It's amazing how much bacteria-attracting goop can collect in an electric razor, even if you brush it clean daily.Cleaning daily with alcohol helped clear up my skin, but was time-consuming.

Using the clean & shave system saves me time, but costs more.I found that the first cartridge I used lasted nearly 60 days even with everyday cleaning. After 45 days or so, the fluid started to darken and by about 60 days, it was too full of debris to continue to use in good conscience.I now change every 30 days, even if there is fluid remaining.

5-0 out of 5 stars Works Great with my Activator 8585
This stuff keeps my electric razor nice and clean. The lemony smell is present, and the razor head is still pristine a month later. If I travel for a few days without the base to clean the razor, I'm more likely to get razor burn on my face and neck. After a good cleaning cycle, the razor works like it's brand new!Given the choice, I'd rather use the cleaner every day instead of less frequently.

I'm not sure why people are trying their darndest to conserve the refills.Braun expects them to last about 30 days.My charging base still says "Full" and about 3/4 of the liquid is left. Hopefully I will get 2 or 3 more weeks from it since the "Half" light hasn't come on yet.

I'd probably spend as much in Mach 3 Turbo blades and shaving gel over the time I expect the cleaner to last. When I factor in the convenience of the electric razor and benefits of keeping it clean, this seems like a great product for me.

1-0 out of 5 stars Be careful of shipping charges
I just placed an order for these as part of a larger order. When I looked at my shopping cart I saw that not only does this item not qualify for SuperSaver shipping, but it is back ordered into April (over a month), and the shipping charges are over $11.00 on a $7.99 item.At almost $19.00 and a months wait, no thank you.

4-0 out of 5 stars Lemon fresh Shave
I agree with most reviewers that this product works great at its designed intent - to clean the razor after use, although at a high cost. Also as seen in previous reviews, besides making my Braun 7570 razor like brand new (and smelling like a bowl of Fruit-Loops) after each use, these expensive cartridges beg the user to investigate creative ways to "cheat" the system (i.e. refill them with inexpensive ingredients from the local discount drug store, plug the hole between uses to prevent evaporation, etc).I noticed that the instructions in the Clean and Charge manual tell you not to refill them, and I would worry about letting the hair and particles ferment in the bottom for too long anyhow. Also, according to the manual, the cleaner machine will quit working if you don't change the cartridge soon after it tells you to, which is another reason i haven't tried to trick it yet. Finally, the razor runs about as long in the cleaning machine as it does during a shave.Does this make the razor's motor and other moving parts wear out twice as fast in the long run?I think this self-cleaning idea is just a cash cow bearing pleasant-smelling blue milk for Braun. I give it 4 stars however, because this cleaning product actually works perfectly, and it's not really just a hunk of plastic with a half-pint of alcohol in it (although an equal amount of good Scotch would cost more than the $8.00 i paid for two of these cartridges). The cartridge is designed to trap and filter the hairs and engage with a pump in a way that is easy to install and replace.I think it does this well. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars as good as waxing, but not for bikini line
I used to use wax strips to wax my legs, which were relatively fast and easy. Until I found my SilkEpil. The first time I used it I didn't even try it with the head which supposedly makes it less painful, because I am used to waxing. I was a little shocked by the pain at first, but quickly got used to it, and by the end of the session it was more like a warm sensation with no pain. I then tried it on my bikini line with the head to reduce pain. I have since decided never to try it again. Waxing is equally painful, but lasts half-a-second, where this takes 5 minutes to do a couple square inches. Very uncomfortable, I didn't even finish. However, it also comes with a shaver head which is very convenient. (you can trim your bikini hair to half a centimeter) I did both of my lower legs in 20 minutes on the first time, and have been quicker since. It also takes only a couple minutes to clean it. WELL WORTH THE MONEY. I was spending much more for the wax strips. (which are about 6 bucks per waxing, which is a fraction of the cost for professional waxing). Another benefit to this over waxing is that the hair doesn't have to be as long for it to be effective. Which is a major perk to my husband, because I don't have to go as long with gorilla legs.

5-0 out of 5 stars When Intimacy is Vital...

In the course of making my DVDs on sexual Mastery, NEW SEX NOW
and GODDESS WORSHIP, I had the opportunity to create some
very special intimate moments with some very amazing women,
and I can tell you that personal hygiene is KEY to creating intimacy.

It's tough to get close to a woman if her leg hairs are scratchy or
disctracting. The Braun 3370 can give very good results if
used properly and if your legs hairs are responsive. My wife actually uses this
model epilator with some very good results for her (and us!) Try it or one of
the similar models on amazon, and if you don't get good results, just
sell it on the Amazon marketplace so you'll only be out a few dollars.

But by all means, do not let a less-than-smooth situation take away
any opportunities you may have to enjoy life's greatest pleasure.

4-0 out of 5 stars First time buyer
If you are a first time buyer/user, do read a sample of reviews - it will help a lot in the decision making process. I thank everybody who have contributed their reviews, as it helped me make my decision. As for the product, this is the perfect thing to use when in between the waxing stages. If you are used to waxing, there is no pain. I have been waxing for the past 5 years and the pain was no more then what I experience while waxing. However, if you have never waxed before you will feel a bit of a prick and redness. Lower legs are definitely much easier to do than the upper legs - but hold you skin taut and you will be fine. The biggest challenge is figuring out how fast to move the epilator - initially I ended up breaking my hair rather than pulling it out. I definitely recommend waxing before using this product. This way you are only dealing with so much hair at a time.

5-0 out of 5 stars The best epilator
After reading reviews and wanting a hair removal system that I could use on my bikini line, underarms and legs without shaving or going to the salon for waxing, I purchased this item yesterday. Beacuse I had already shaved my legs before purchasing, I was unable to test it on my legs, but I did do it on my bikini line. I have very course dark hair on my bikini area and I have been shaving for a few weeks because I have been taking my 7 month old daughter to waterbabies classes. I put a cold ice pack on the area before starting off about 30-40 seconds and then I started. My area was already short due to last weeks shaving. As I went over the bikini area I was surprised at how little pain their was. It was like a litte pinch, but it subsided as I went along. Now the area is smooth excpet for some ingrown hairs I had to take out with tweezers because of the shaving. The after effect was redness and the feeling I just had a waxing. No pain or anything. I have tried other epilators in the past and they all went back. This one I am keeping. I will have to try it on my legs and underarms when the hair begins to grow back from shaving. This is fantastic. All ladies should try it. Just remember, in the bikini area, make sure you use the trimmier attachment to make he hairs less dense. Also try the ice if you are very sensitive to pain. I will update my review in a couple of weeks when I get to try my legs.

5-0 out of 5 stars My New Best Friend!
This item has really been a Godsend for me, I cannot praise it enough. It has given me the freedom to be able to go on vacation and wear a bikini without having to spend 45 mins in the bathroom shaving every other day, I can go to the closet and pick out a skirt or sleeveless top without having to worry that I did not shave my legs or underarms. I can be with my partner at anytime without worrying about the stubble appearing on my legs.

I honestly dont know why I did not buy this before, I think it is because my mother used to have an ancient epilator that I used once and never tried again due to the incredible pain and the fact that it barely removed any hairs.

I got to the point of being so sick of shaving every day for 15 years, I read the reveiws saying the the epilators have come a long way and and decided to try it again. The first time you use it it is very important to grit your teeth and just go for it, it hurts but you must do it, do all of the areas you usually shave including underarms and bikini line. It is true that the Braun makes epilating the knees pretty impossible but that is the only downside, it is an excellent machine, and removes 100% of hairs that are not to short for it to grasp. The hair only needs to be about 2mm for the Braun to be able to pull it. The pain releiving head really helps also, it is much like when the nurse scratches your arm prior to taking blood, it kind of very lightly scratches your skin as it goes along so that the hair pulling is not so painful, it sounds bad but is not, it makes it much easier to bear.

If you can grit your teeth and bear the first couple of times you epilate, it becomes much easier as you get used to it, the hair gets weaker and weaker every time you epilate and is removed easier every time. Dont forget the hair grows in cycles so you will have to epilate a few times, possibly every 3-4 days until all the hair is gone. After that it will stay relatively smooth for several weeks. When it does grow back it will come gradually and it will be thinner and softer, there will not be that stubbly feeling as when you shave. You will be able to get away with wearing skirts and having somebody touch your legs even while it is growing back through.

If you can bear the pain the first few times, and really give this product a chance you will be so thankful that you did, you will be so rewarded in ways that you probably would not even have noticed before. Just being able to jump into the pool when friends come over, or a spontaneous afternoon at the beach without the headache of having to prepare.

Really the epilator has given me a freedom I have wished for all my life, I am kicking myself that I did not buy it before. It is worth every penny. I could never find the time to go to the salon to get waxed, or justify the expense, and the home kits are awkward and messy, you have to be a double-jointed octopus to get to everywhere that needs waxing, and it would take a lot of boxes and a hell of a lot of time to do a whole 2 legs, bikini and underarms. So I have shaved all my life. There were never any other options, I thought about laser but it is too expensive, time consuming, and I have been told the hairs do grow back. The epilator has been my answer to the eternal hair removal dilema and this particular model is excellent, it has given me my 'hairless dream'! saved me so much time, and for only $60! Worth 10 stars and then some. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Small and expensive heads
    Dear Amazonians,

The brush-head that came with my toothbrush is starting to get frazzled, and it's time to start looking for new heads.(My father always said he wanted to see me get a head...)

I'm completely unhappy about having to spend $10 per head.I don't believe I'll be getting what I pay for, because:

    · The heads are small.I've never chosen a "compact head," but that's all that's available for the Sonicare.

    · The bristles are a combination of soft, extra-soft, and uselessly-soft bristles.I assume that extra-soft bristles have a shorter lifetime than normally-soft bristles, which aggravates the megaprice problem.Maybe the first couple of days using the Sonicare delivers an overwhelming experience (not really) that's best overcome with extra-soft bristles, but at this point, I would be happy to have a head full of normally-soft bristles.Unfortunately, dissatisfyingly extra-soft bristles are all that's available for the Sonicare.

    · The fat bottom of the head disallows putting the Sonicare far enough into my mouth to brush the back of my tongue, so I wind up having to keep a real toothbrush around, anyway.Even if I could fit the head back there, it would be too small for the job, due to my big tongue.Pardon my tangent.

Because the Sonicare is so effective, neither the head's softness nor smallness is much of a drawback.By leaving the scrubbing motions to the device, I'm able to spend more attention to aiming accurately and evenly, to avoid overscrubbing, to avoid falling asleep from boredom, and it does a better job than I could. If I could do it all over, I would choose the Sonicare again over the old method, but I'm still sickened by the single-option of expensive, minimum-value and minimum-lifetime heads.

(The real sticker-shock will happen when I have to throw away the Sonicare because the integrated Ni-Cad batteries cannot be replaced, but only mutilatingly removed for recycling.)

I give the heads 2-out-of-5 Amazonian stars because although they work, they take undue advantage of the customer.

    Best luck,
    -Neil-

5-0 out of 5 stars If kissing is Important...

As I teach in my sexual mastery seminars and dvds "NEW SEX NOW"
and "GODDESS WORSHIP", there is no such thing as
"too much kissing." Women can never get enough of it,
and men who desire true intimacy with women will also
enjoy it and share the experience as often as possible with
a woman they are in relationship with. And there is no
comparable feeling of CLEAN TEETH than you get with
the Sonicare Elite. Get a couple extra of these brush heads
so that you can replace your old one when it get's dull,
so that you will always have the cleanest and freshest
feeling mouth and teeth for maximum kissing pleasure.

5-0 out of 5 stars Sonicare More Effective Than Oral B in NWU Study
My best friend has been raving about his Sonicare Elite for over a year now-- encouraging me to try it.I did a little research and saw that OralB had a similar product and wondered which had a better product-- Sonicare or Oral B.My friend finally convinced me that the Sonicare product is superior, and then I read a review on Amazon from a hygenist who said that she went to a continuing education seminar and learned that Oral B was found to be superior...

At that point, I decided to do my own research...Don't believe everything you read on here...or anywhere else, for that matter, without questioning it. ;-)

Northwestern University did a study over a 6 month period.Patients with the Sonicare did much better, but don't take my word for it.Read the study results for yourself on the National Institute of Health web site:
    [...]
For the lazy:"Overall, this study demonstrates that long-term use of these two electric toothbrushes improves periodontal health in adult periodontitis patients, and that the Sonicare brush is superior to the Braun [Oral B] brush in reducing gingival inflammation and probing depth. Moreover, 6 months' use of Sonicare led to actual improvement in probing attachment levels of periodontal pockets."

3-0 out of 5 stars Good battery but poor quality toothbrush heads
I have owned the Elite Pro for 1 year and the instructions recommended changing toothbrush heads once every six months.I am now going on my 5th toothbrush head because 2 of the 4 were broken within 2 weeks of use.Basically, I noticed they just were not vibrating like when they were new.The same problem occurred on 2 of the heads. One of the metal strips responsible for producing the vibration broke loose and basically reduced its vibrating power by 50%.It is just poor quality control when the toothbrush has more power than the toothbrush head can handle. On the upside, it works great when it works, and the battery lasts 2 weeks using it twice a day, so no need to pack the relatively small recharger on vacation.

5-0 out of 5 stars Two, count 'em
You get two, which could last up to a year. Not bad, the price is right, I've seen these at membership stores for $17.00.You'll need them.

For extra cleaning, dip your loaded toothbrush into a cup of baking soda, it's a gentle abrasive and aids in bringing the teeth up.Sure makes the teeth feel clean.

If you have a 50 year mouth (like mine) and have taken coffee and tea for many moons, a professional whitening may be in order but I'm not laying out a grand for the procedure.I'm into the hygeine aspect of sonic care, and sonic care really does take care of teeth and gums.Gums are often over brushed and wear down or neglected altogether, so remember...Sonic care for health, and looks. But there is a point in life when you either accept the aging and yellow hue or shell out some cash for a cosmetic cleaning procedure. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars great for the new addition
I love these diapers. No leaks here! They are so absorbant that unless you forgot to change your little one recently you can barely tell it's wet when you change the diaper (and since she cant feel the wetness it leads to less crying). The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is that you have to fold down the top of the diaper to aviod it rubbing the umbilical cord until it falls off.

5-0 out of 5 stars the only time to use pampers
I've tried a few differnt things for my son, in the beginning I hated huggies and loved these, as time has gone on I found newborn stage is the best and only time for pampers, the rest of the time huggies has saved the day (and kept leaks away).Pampers are PERFECT for the first stage (only).

4-0 out of 5 stars this is an ok brand
im 14 and i was helping my sister out with her new daughter and i suggested buying these well i guess i was wrong on the picture they said there was a cut-out well there wasnt but overall this is a great product and i would recommened it to anyone who loves pampers

2-0 out of 5 stars Not the Best Diapers for Newborns
We love Pampers diapers and are using them now because of their superior absorbancy, but I have to tell you that when our two children were newborns that Pampers did not fit them very well.My daughter was on the tubby side while my son was on the skinny side and neither was serviced well by these diapers.

It was not so much a poopy problem for us, but a leak at night time problem which, lets face it, is no fun.

My advice is to try Huggies first for your newborn, and to try Pampers for every size 1 and above. ... Read more

As the only electric shaver with a four-way moving head, Braun’s Syncro System is set apart from other models. Its head both pivots and oscillates to enlarge the foil holes by 60% more than on other Braun shavers, capturing more facial hairs in a single glide. Additionally, the Syncro Shaver’s three-stage shaving system provides a closer and cleaner shave--the first foil shaves stubble and shorter hairs, the integrated cutter lifts and trims close-lying or curled hairs, and then the second foil shaves them off. An extendable trimmer also pops up for shaving longer hair, such as mustaches or sideburns. For added comfort and to reduce nicks and cuts, the head adjusts to the contours of your face.

The Syncro System operates either via a cord or cordless for up to 50 minutes (or two to three weeks of daily shaves) following a 60-minute charge. Smart Logic technology ensures that the battery is always operating at its peak. Ideal for travel, this shaver adjusts to any international voltage standards and comes with a travel pouch and a cleaning brush. --Cristina Vaamonde

Editor's note: This is a reconditioned shaver. Reconditioned generally means that the shaver has been returned to the manufacturer from the retailer due to packaging damage. Each shaver undergoes extensive testing, cleaning, and repairs to bring it back to like-new condition. Includes a 2-year warranty against defects, excluding the foil and cutter block. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Holy Crap!
I'd coasted along for a while on an old Norelco 3-wheel and a Panasonic 3-blade linear.Used in combination, they were not too bad, I could look presentable if I needed too, though real smoothness eluded me, particularly on the neck. But very unsatisfying...made me less interested in shaving at all.

Just got the Braun 7526...and damn, what a difference. The thing is incredible.Even without the "lectric shave" stuff I've heard helps, it's the best shave I've ever had from an electric.I can actually get smooth even on the neck, and better yet - it's not irritating at all!It is the Dyson of shavers...if you're used to old crap, you will not be disappointed.

4-0 out of 5 stars The Reconditioned Braun 7526 Shaver
The shaver performs very well and provides a close shave. Our unit developed a non-functioning switch about three months after purchase. However we returned the unit to Braun and it was promptly replaced with what appears to be a new unit and returned to us. Again the returned shaver works well and we are very satisfied.

4-0 out of 5 stars better than my old razor
I bought this from amazon a couple of months ago for $49 - $20 credit that I had on account.I replaced an old norelco, and the braun gives me a much improved shave.Much closer, just as easy to use, faster moving blades, and it takes a somewhat shorter time to finish.Of course, the fact that my norelco was about 8 or 9 years old and I never sharpened the blades or oiled the rotors probably doesn't make it a fair comparison, but overall, I'm happy with the new braun.I'm just lazy and I don't want to do much maintenance, so time will tell...I am now cleaning the braun daily-ish with the brush and weekly-ish with compressed air.

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't buy this Item
Don't be fooled by the low, low price. They keep the cleaning stand, and for the price of the stand, you might as well buy a new unit (shaver and stand together) instead of trying your luck with a reconditioned shaver.I feel like I've been ripped off!

4-0 out of 5 stars A great razor! $50? $20 is even better!
I've been using this razor for about 2 months already. At first, I was disappointed because it wasn't cutting the growth on my neck close enough. I'm in the military and have to shave every working day, so having a shadow isn't acceptable. I bought some William's Lectric Shave as suggested by other Amazon reviewers and it really does make all the difference. The William's is $5 at wal-mart for a 7oz bottle (Amazon sells smaller bottles for a lower price). I've got sensitive skin and for some reason using this Braun without the William's will irritate my neck. It's still a little irritating, but not nearly as much so as the first month (especially without the William's).

Shaving takes me about 5 minutes which is only a little bit longer then with a Bic razor. This Braun does not come with the automatic cleaning stand, but brushing it clean (cleaning brush is included) with every use only takes a minute or two and is fairly easy. The Braun sometimes misses a few spots on my face, which is no big deal because it doesn't happen too often. I've been checking the shaving foil every day, there aren't any holes yet. This Braun holds a battery charge very well, the red warning light came on after using it for 3 weeks. Assuming the foil will last me another few months, I am making this Braun my permanant razor.

I paid only $20 for this Braun by signing up for the Amazon.com Visa card (takes $30 off) so that's a great deal. It might be refurbished, but it looks and works like new. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Feels like a professional cleaning
I was a Braun electric brush user for about five years when I tried the Sonicare. It was a gift, and I was skeptical. In fact, I had tried a friend's non-Elite Sonicare in the past and did not like it. But this brush is far superior than anything I have ever used before. Even after two brushings, my teeth felt as good as after a professional cleaning. Now, after using this brush for six months, my hygienist tells me my gum measurements are down from 4.5mm to 3mm -- a big improvement! This brush is expensive, but it's definitely worth the money.

The quad timer is a great feature and keeps you brushing for the full two minutes. The one problem with this brush is that it tickles your gums like crazy when you first start using it. It comes with a starter mode to ramp up the brush speed over the first 15 brushings. I still had a slightly hard time starting up with it, though.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Electronic Toothbrush
Take cae of your teeth and gums with this elecronic toothbrush. The new design with the angled head makes brushing your teeth easier. Also, the new smaller brush design is better. After using this for a few months, your dentist and/or periodontist will be able to tell the difference. When the "pockets" in your gums around the teeth are measured, you will be amazed at the improvement.Highly recommended, and worth every penny.

2-0 out of 5 stars Cloddish replacements
Be careful because you will waste time and money ordering replacement heads. You won't be able to tell what kind of toothbrush you have, because Philips doesn't indicate it on the toothbrush, so you have to guess when you reorder.Philips wins on this, but you lose.

1-0 out of 5 stars Lasts about a year, then croaks.
I bought this EXPENSIVE toothbrush and the wife and I used it for just over a year (past the warranty) and we enjoyed it. I think it did a good job. Then it died...

Well, that must have just been a fluke unit. So I bought another one. After about one year, it died...

    What the?

I see that most of the reviews here are glowing. I liken it to those who bought Jaguars before the quality improved and claimed they loved their cars despite how poorly made they were. They were just soooo expensive, who wanted to admit they weren't worth the money?

Sonicare products are junk. Face it, they're only designed to do one thing: brush teeth. They have very little mechanical to them, yet they go bust after roughly one year's use.

I am typing this on a Macintosh computer. It works for years. I drive a Ford Escape. It works for years. I grind coffee beans several times a day with a Krups. It works for years. I have cheap Japanese steak knives that I bought 30 years ago. They still cut meat and haven't come apart in the dishwasher. They still work.

But spend $100 bucks on a toothbrush that lasts just past the warranty? They got me twice. They won't get me again.

Currently using a Braun electric. Does just as good a job for farrrr less money.

5-0 out of 5 stars Works wonders....
    WOW!

Just picked one of these up the other day at Costco. I have been using a Crest Spinbrush for the last two years or so. Recently, Crest stopped shipping replacement heads for their Spinbrush series due to quality concerns. I went looking for a replacement.

All I can say about the Sonicare is that if you haven't tried one, you have no idea how awesome this thing is. It is completeley different than any kind of brushing you have ever done before. I was surprised at first that the instructions say not to scrub or push down any harder than a fingertip grip when brushing....but that's all it takes! Just place it on each tooth 1-2 seconds and you'll feel like you just had your teeth professionaly cleaned.

Yes, you can buy a $1 toothbrush and have clean teeth. But for those that care just a little more about their oral health it is well worth EVERY penny. You won't be disappointed. ... Read more

I love the Pampers Baby Dry diapers. My daughter has never had any leaks or diaper rash using them.I bought the economy pack thinking they'd last a while. But at three months old and 11 1/2 pounds, I'm finding that the straps barely fit and that the leg holes are digging into her skin.I'm going to have to give them to my sister-in-law's newborn so they won't go to waste.

I love Pamper's Swaddlers.I've tried Huggies and both Pampers brands, and out of all of them Swaddlers are my favorite. That being said, the Baby Dry diapers are terrible. With Swaddlers you can adjust the fit, and the diapers are really soft.Baby Dry diapers feel like they're recycled and and I really dislike the sticky waist straps. They're shorter so you can't adjust the fit as easily, and the waist is always loose--with a boy that's a very bad idea because he tends to get his clothes wet through the TOP of the diaper instead of the sides now.I can't wait until we use these up because I will never buy Baby Dry again.

2-0 out of 5 stars Baby-Dry Diapers Ixnay AsgoodaySwaddlers
Pampers appears to have two lines of diapers for small babies--Baby Dry, and Swaddlers. My wife and I had to buy Baby Dry in a pinch, and they weren't as good.

The primary problem is that the waistband is not strechy AND the tabs have more adhesive than hook-and-loop (a.k.a. Velcro(R)). Swaddlers just have the hook-and-loop. You need to adjust the tabs more precisely the first time because there's less forgiveness, and it's not as easy to reposition the tabs securely because the adhesive loses stickiness.

Six thumbs down to Baby Dry. Stop those lines, and just make Swaddlers. That's my advice to Pampers.

I give "2 stars" because the koala is cute, and the diapers are better than going without !!

    4-0 out of 5 stars Preston's mommy
I love pampers...I have tried almost all the other diapers out there including huggies, luvs, and white cloud. Pampers are the only true leak-proof diapers made!! They also fit my 11 lb. son perfectly. I have no complaints.

3-0 out of 5 stars Great diapers, but same size as 1
I bought these diapers when my baby was about 11 lbs. They were very tight on him.The box says upt to 15 Lbs...I compare it to a size 1 and they area about the same... ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars It lasts and lasts
I'm not sure why the other reviewers had such bad luck with their foils.Mine never crack or perforate. The cutter block is the limiting factor; it does get dull after no more than 18 months, and sometimes as few as 12.I've been using shavers with these foils for about 8 years now, so I have a fair amount of experience with them.

4-0 out of 5 stars Replacement makes a noticable difference. Sign up for Prime!
I've had various Braun razors since I was in bootcamp almost 15 years ago and my company commander required my face to be cleanshaven at all times. This meant I had to shave 4 times a day.The toll that took on my face with even a good blade razor was awful, and I only survived by eventually switching over to a Braun rechargable that shaved almost as close as a blade but with far less damage.

I've been a solid Braun customer ever since. Unfortunately, while consumer magazines tout electric razors as a money-saving tool, Gillette (the owner of the Braun brand for several years) has done a marvelous job migrating Braun customers to buy disposable replacement parts. The cleaning system that comes with most new Brauns is a great way to get an annuity stream from customers who mistakenly thought they could buy a Braun and be done with spending money.

While the value of the cleaning system replacements is sketchy, the 7000FC replacement combo isn't.After anywhere between 6 and 12 months of use, the foil on a Braun typically gets one or two small holes. These end up giving you nasty, painful small cuts. The cutter too wears down a bit.I notice when I replace both shaving my entire face takes probably 30% less time and is generally closer.Well worth buying.

One other note. This product is a great reason to sign up for Amazon Prime.Repeated free two day shipping on a product at a substantial discount to stores - I don't know how Amazon makes money on these transactions, but I'm glad they're letting us do them!

4-0 out of 5 stars Newest foil block solves trouble with older ones
I have recently purchased my 3rd replacement combo. A major annoyance with my two previous foil blocks (including the one that shipped with my shaver) was that it would very easily pop off my shaver, sometimes even just from the vibration of shaving. I was pleasantly surprised that the foil block has apparently been redesigned, because the latest one I bought sits solidly on my shaver.

While Braun suggests that you replace the foil and cutter block every 18 months, very likely you will want to do it much sooner.
For me about replacing it about once a year seems right.

I'll give it 4 stars instead of 5, because it just doesn't last as long as advertised. But perhaps I am luckier with my newest replacement in that aspect as well.

4-0 out of 5 stars best system, but change regularly
Never let it be said that electric shaving saves you money.

But, as one that can't really be bothered wet shaving, plus when I do I cut myself to shreds, I have to say this is the best system I've owned and it's worth swapping the foil way more often than the 18 months mentioned in the manual; I tend to only go 3-6 months before swapping and I can really notice the difference.

The other way I generally extend the life of these foils is, if like me you don't shave over the weekend, when Monday morning comes, use the clippers on the shaver to cut your growth down to a stubble and then shave; I find this gives a better cut and a cleaner shave after that.

So - a good product but could be tougher (it should last longer than 6 months) and could be less expensive.

    Happy shopping
    JB

4-0 out of 5 stars Great foil ... before the holes appear
I've been using Braun 7526 for 6 months before the hole appeared in the foil. Well, if you do not press hard, it doesn't hurt your face. However, after a couple of weeks the hole became larger and, finally, the sharp pieces of foil suddendly started to stick up. I scratched my face badly. Before the hole the shaving was very nice, though. Braun's warranty doesn't cover the foil and cutter block, but they agreed to replace mine free of charge. Nice customer service. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Surprise! It actually works very well.
God has a cruel sense of humor. Why else would he design so many males so that their hairs would fall out of their heads and sprout out of their ears, nose, and back?

Panasonic has done the mankind a favor by inventing this much needed gizmo, though no man with any pride would admit to buying or even needing this device. It's doubtful that Americans would have ever invented this device. It took the Japanese - who in their country have hair salons where women can go get their pubic hairs (yes you read that right) trimmed, styled, and colored - to do so.

The device in the photo looks kinda scary - who'd enjoy shoving a mechanical device with a buzzing blade into his nose?I finally took the plunge and bought this thing, because the errant nose hairs constantly tickled inside of my nose. The days of shoving a pair of scissors inside of my nose is finally over.

The device is very well designed, it turns out.The tip is small and very smooth to touch, and you can actually press the tip to inside of your nose without any discomfort. The noise and vibration is minimal, and the small spinning disc (enclosed inside the metal cage) cuts very well, with no discomfort. The device itself is small and comfortable to hold.

After you're done "shaving", look at the sink below and be prepared to be surprised how much hair were shorn. You can also use device to precisely cut an errant hair sticking out of your sideburn as well.Great device, if you can ever get over the ticklish concept that you actually need a nose hair trimmer.

3-0 out of 5 stars Hmmmm...
Is it me or do all the reviews for this product sound phony? They don't sound genuine... almost as if someone who works for Panasonic wrote them.

5-0 out of 5 stars Works great, and here's some tips
I've never dared use one of these but finally got tired of stray hairs peeking out.I put it to use last night and it works great. What more needs to be said about a nose hair trimmer??

A little more.First, the light actually is useful...just not when you've got it stuck in your nose cutting hair. Its use is when you periodically need to examine inside to see how you're doing. So spend the big bucks for the lighted model, otherwise you'll have to keep a flashlight around.

Second, when you first get it, it has a light oil film on the cutter.Good for the machinery but not so much for your nose.So I recommend you take an alcohol swab, take the cutter apart like they say and clean everything before the first use.

5-0 out of 5 stars Nose Hair trimmer that REALLY WORKS
I have had 5 nose hair trimmers, none worked. I purchased the Panosonic ER421KC and it really works. For the guys who resort to scissors, this is the way to go. Easy and not as noisey as the hedge clipper style trimmers.

5-0 out of 5 stars Takes a lickin' and keeps on trimmin' (my nose hair)
This is a product that does what it promises...and more! The Panasonic ER421KC Nose and Ear Hair Trimmer, Wet/Dry, Lighted really can handle the tough jobs, believe me: I am a tough job.I wish you could all see a before picture of me.Andy Rooney looked like Leonardo Dicaprio next to me (at least in terms of unwanted facial hair).Perhaps it's the fact that I've been living as a hermit for the past two years in a remote mountain region of British Colombia, Canada, but my ear and nose hair was overgrown, and as one little boy I passed in the street described it, "bushy".When I first used this product though, the Panasonic ER421KC Nose and Ear Hair Trimmer, Wet/Dry, Lighted, I became a new man--reborn, rejuvenated.Women find me attractive--well, at least one does; I am recently engaged--and I have a new confidence that I didn't have before.

    Thanks, Panasonic

3-0 out of 5 stars Replacement blades expensive/hard to find.
Norelco makes good electric razors but replacement blades are very expensive and difficult to find. Not carried in grocery stores. This is a significant hidden cost and matter of inconvenience.

5-0 out of 5 stars I'm giving this razor 5 stars because I cannot give it 6....
After several years of a lower-end Norelco, I splurged and tried out the 8894.My experience has been nothing short of spectacular.

This razor truly shaves better than any I have ever used.I find that it provides a far-superior shave to my old 6000 series, equal to the closeness of a straight razor.Burdened with sensitive skin, I find the handy sensitivity feature of the 8894 worthwhile. The all-digital display that indictes when to rinse, service, and charge the razor is as helpful as it is nifty.I bought my razor at the end of March and fully charged it.I DID NOT HAVE TO RECHARGE UNTIL THE END OF MAY!My razor truly gives me 100 minutes of operation between charges. Most days I can shave with my 8894 in two minutes, about half the time I could shave with other, lesser razors.

Look around, find the best deal, but don't hesitate to go high-end Norelco. The extra features are nice, but it's the superior quality that make this razor worthwhile.

4-0 out of 5 stars The one to buy ifyou've got sensitive skin
Although I'm a couple of years past the half-century mark, my skin is still prone to break outs. That is why I can't use a blade as my primary shaver.I've had the 8894XL since it first came out.It gives a very good shave, but not as close as a blade. But the best thing is there is minimal irritation.

Thinking I could get a closer shave with an electric razor, I got the top of the line Braun. It did give me a shave as close as a blade, but at the expense of great irritation and break outs.It made me appreciate the Norelco more.

If getting the closest possible shave at all costs is the most important quality you are seeking in an electric razor, get the Braun. However, if you are plagued with irritation when shaving, then this Norelco is the shaver for you.It is for me.

Oh, and the razor is easy to clean.

5-0 out of 5 stars Will I ever have to charge it?
Amazing how many shaves you can get in its 100 minutes charge time.I have had it over four weeks and after its initial charge, using it every day, I still have 55 minutes of charge time left. The shave seems to be closer than my old 6000 series shaver that I lost.I went all out and purchased this "over rated razor" and found it to exceed my wildest expectations.I have a thick course beard, however tender neck skin and it works great with no burning.Close and comfortable is the easiest way to describe the shave.

I was lucky to purchase the razor in March when the razor was $134.00 with free shipping and a $30 rebate. This razor is however well worth the current asking price and Amazon is still the low price leader.Check the pricing out yourself.Thank you Amazon and Norelco my face is happy again.

5-0 out of 5 stars An Old Hand
    Hi all

This is my first product review and I have never endorsed a product before...
I think you can call me an old-hand in electrical shavers.I started to shave in 1978 using a Remington electrical shaver. My first Phillips/Norelco shaver was a gift from my grandfather in 1983.
Since then I have bought 5-6 Phillips shavers in succession (a new one every 3-4 years). They require no maintenance except for cleaning, a yearly head change and 2 year battery change. With each new shaver the shaving gets better and it is difficult to see any improvements that can be made in these machines. But they DO get them to shave better.

In the meanwhile I got several other brand shaving machines as gifts (Wet, Grid etc) but after experimenting for a few days I always resumed shaving with the Phillips dry shavers. I am not a fan of wet-electrical shavers (even Phillips).

I have had the Spectra 8894 for two months now. This one is a wonder and I strongly recommend it. I think if you buy a new shaver every couple of years you should get yourself the top model, the difference being 25$ or so per YEAR of use.
