5-0 out of 5 stars good value for a good brush
These replacement brushes do exactly what they're supposed to: they're good quailty, they last a good amount of time and they're effective.
Some people recommend the compact brushes for reaching all the way to the back of the mouth, but frankly I have no problem with this one.Hey - no - that doesn't mean I've got a big mouth - stop that!
Seriously though, brushing teeth doesn't get easier than this.

Happy shopping

5-0 out of 5 stars Wouldn't Go Back
Several years back, my dentist and also my periodontal specialist both recommended I consider using an electric toothbrush to help clean my teeth. It also helps fight for my gums against periodontal disease. I wasn't so sure about investing $100 more, especially in a toothbrush. My wife finally bought me one and I have never looked back. My teeth look better. I have less plaque, less bleeding gums, less problems, less cavities. I don't think $10 every six months for new heads is too much to invest in keeping my natural teeth as long as I can.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great brush for a great toothbrush
Wonderful tooth brush...Change the head every 6 minths

5-0 out of 5 stars Sonicare is the wave of the future
The biggest complaint I hear from people about electric tootbrushes is that the replacement heads are too expensive. Come now, that was the type of thinking that would have killed the Industrial Revolution!

For anyone who really cares about dental hygeine or even just the way they look to other people, you can't not use an electric toothbrush anymore. I laughed at the idea at first, but once I began using one I will never be able to use a regular toothbrush again without feeling like my mouth isn't clean. When you go to the dentist--what type of toothbrush does he/she use on you? Electric--for a reason, because it cleans better.

The marginally higher cost of replacing the heads rather than buying an entirely new disposable toothbrush is insignificant when you actually feel as clean as you can when you use an electric brush. Personal dental care has evolved to the next step, and you don't want to be caught be the last person using a slide ruler because you were too frugal to purchase the more expensive but more effective calculator.

Your teeth (and anyone who comes in contact with them) will thank you.

5-0 out of 5 stars Recommend Sonicare to anybody
I have been brushing with a sonicare for 18 months. My dentist recommended it to me, especially because I was getting braces. I can't believe how clean my teeth look and feel. I never have bleeding gums any more. My orthodontist and dentist have both commented on the suprub shape of my gums. I couldn't be more happy! Defenitely worth the money!!! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Very good product
Yea, it hurts (mainly under my arms), but it works very very well.It doesn't really hurt on my legs at all, but it is pretty time consuming to get all the hair off the first few times. It probably works best on small areas, like the underarms, for this reason. Once your hair starts to grow back sparser and weaker, it works a lot faster. Be careful- the first time I used it under my arms, I burned myself because I held it too close to my skin for too long. Its easy to use and maintain, and the benefits definitely outweigh the setbacks.

5-0 out of 5 stars As good as the high priced hair removal systems!!
This hair removal system works just as well as the higher priced ones out there!!Very happy with how it works!Used it to do my legs today and of course there is the 2 minute sting going on till my skin becomes accustomed to it...the pain we go through to have smooth legs........LOL!!!Recommend this Remington EP1000 very much!
Thanks,

1-0 out of 5 stars S_U_C_K_S!!!
Just recieved this product and could not wait to try it. Unitill it touched my skin. The pain isn't to bad since your leg will go numb after a few minutes. But the BAD part is ...when you look at your legs it only cut not even 1/2 of your hairs!!!!!!!!!! So you endure PAIN and your legs aren't even smooth. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !! Don't WASTE YOUR MONEY. I'm sending mine back !!!!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars wonderful! I'll never wax again!
I purchased this item strictly to use on my upper lip and chin. I normally wax, and even still got a little top layer of skin yanked off. (which turned into a nasty little scab as it healed)I also still had to go back over with tweezers for those strays. I threw out my wax as soon as I used this! It's soo fast and easy. The pain is minimal(when you first start)to nothing(after you've started). Especially if you're used to waxing. And there were NO strays, even the shortest hairs were gone. I personally had no irritation. This thing does a better job by far than any wax, even at a salon. I'm so excited that I'm trying to work up the nerve to do my legs and "other areas", I've never waxed anywhere else though, that's the only reason I'm a little hesitant.I've never tried an epilator before and I'm sooo glad I got this! Although I'm a little mad at myself for not getting one sooner!

5-0 out of 5 stars Half bottle of wine...
and your good to go. Numbs the pain, and worth the time saved from not having to shave in the shower everyday. Love the job it does under my arms!!! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A high quality product
Norelco recommends that you replace the shaving heads once a year for optimal performance. I forgot all about this and noticed that it was taking longer and longer to get a smooth shave. When I read the instructions that came with the razor I realized that it had been almost 5-years.
The installation was simple, the cost very reasonable (considering 5-years) and I couldn't believe what I had been "gradually" missing as far as a quick, very smooth shave.
My razor is like brand new.

5-0 out of 5 stars Figaro Would Be Proud!
Our son went to see the opera "The Barber of Seville" today with his fourth grade classmates. Not only was it reportedly over 3 hours long, but the singing was in Italian (which is fine, but was not, as promised, in English), it took more than 30 minutes just to get out of the parking garage, and there were no snacks!

I mention this not only because I love our son, but also because I was wondering how Figaro (said barber) would have liked these refills for the Norelco Quadra 7 and Quadra Action rechargeable electric razor.I imagine he would have loved the shaver(see separate review for the Norelco 6826XL), but that at some point he'd have sung a dramatic aria about the need to semi-regularly change your blades.

It's easy to neglect changing the blades, as the Norelco works wonderfully and the deterioration is imperceptible at first. But after about 2 years on the SAME SET OF BLADES the performance is noticeably worse. This neatly packaged replacement set is easy to use(but try to keep the two part razor head and blade together as you place them in the shaver), the price seems reasonable, and it shaves again as if it were new: fast, smooth, close. The box indicates that it replaces blades for models

7885/7866/7865/7864/7845/7825/6891/6887/6886/6885/6857/6866/6865/6848/6829/6828/6826XL/7617/7616X,

but then confusingly adds, "Not all Quadra model numbers may be listed." It states also "DOES NOT FIT ANY OTHER NORELCO MODELS(presumably this means they fit Quadra 7 and Quadra Action Razors only)."My one complaint is an environmental/engineering one-why was a big box used for shipping such a small item?

The fat lady sings; the review is over. Thank you for your patience.

4-0 out of 5 stars Quadra action musings
I have previously used a triple head Norelco razor that was corded so I decided to try a cordless product and got it at a reasonably discounted price in my Gold Box.I don't really think there should be much adjustment for me because I was already using the old model.I agree that the shave is very close but I have to really work at it and it takes as long to shave as ever. I have tried to use pre-electric shave and simply wash and dry my face with equal results.I tried shaving with a cord connected and without the cord and the RPM's of the unit seems to be about the same.It is exceedingly quiet and is quite smooth over my face after the shave.Cleaning is simple, just washing it.I plan to continue to use it for the next several weeks to get a fair trial.Although it was a little bit more expensive than I would have liked, it seems to be a decent shaver.I give it 4 stars simply because it doesn't make shaving any faster for me.

5-0 out of 5 stars expensive but worth it
smoothest shave I've ever had, cuts fast & close, no pinching, great trim blades, charges fast, single charge lasts about a month for me.It is easy to clean too.I'd definately buy the same razor if someone stole this one from me.

Great product. Our daughter was starting to remove her other cruiser diapers with the tabs. The Easy Ups quickly resolved that habit and she feels more grown up at two versus us having to deal with a "possible messy situation" following the removal of a tabbed diaper.

5-0 out of 5 stars These are great!
I love these for my daughter...the best pull ups out there. However, they aren't a good deal through Amazon right now.Target stores have marked the same size packages down to $8.54, so $10.49 isn't a bargain at all.I loved them at $7.49....what a savings!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Trimmer
This is my first time buying a trimmer. I'm very happy with it. Gets the job that I want done a lot easier. It's light weight and really easy to use. It gives a very close trim if wanted too! Plus no bumps or irritation. It doesn't hurt at all! Comes with a zipper pouch deal too.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Product
Just bought this product and I love it.Easy to use and comes with it's own case and cleaning brush.Like the other review says, this product is so much easier to use than scissors.Did not notice it was all that loud (another review).

5-0 out of 5 stars Great find!
This suited the needs of exactly what I was looking for. It is very easy to use and light-weight as well. Cleaning it is very easy too. Overall, a great product.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not really a close trim
Such as mentioned above, it leaves a bit of hair, even on the lowest setting. It is difficult to manuveur around REALLY sensitive areas.I'm looking into buying that Finishing Touch pencil-sized product since it would fit easier into tight areas.Otherwise, this is great to keep your hair shorter than usual.PS - it's also rather loud. ... It also lubricates the cutting parts and tells you when the shaving foil and cutting block need to be replaced. The charger is great too—it juices up the shaver while optimizing the battery capacity and life span. Made in USA. 6Lx3W". ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Best electric shaver ever!
Speaking as someone who has been shaving for 20+ years, primarily with blade over electric (Gillette Mach 3 for last few years), I can honestly say the Braun 8585 is the best shave I've ever had. As we all know traditional razor blade replacement prices have been going through the roof for years, and for guys like me with tough beards the blade itself only gives you about a week or two worth of good shaves. Due to my skin type, I was only able to shave every other day in order to avoid serious skin irritation. Now, with the Braun 8585, I shave every day, no irritation, and as close as I ever got with traditional razors. I've only been using it for about three weeks (what they say is your average adjustment period), but I feel the shaves have been great since day one. It's definitely one of the best looking electric razors I've seen, and it's self cleaning feature is a great extra. Cleans and recharges at the same time, in the same base. Overall, I'd say it's well worth the money and I'll never go back to blades.

5-0 out of 5 stars Incredible
This is easily the best electric razor there is.I have super sensitive skin and can use it daily without any irritation.

The only negative would be that the cleaning cycle is a bit loud, but after only 3 days im already used to it.

If you want a really close shave and almost no iritation this is the razor for you.

5-0 out of 5 stars worth every penny
I feel like I have to share my opinion of this shaver.I found other people's reviews to be so helpful when I was trying to find the best electric shaver recently.

I previously had a Braun 6520 for years and was very happy with it until the day it died.I went a while without an electric shaver and finally decided to get a new one.I am not a rich man, but the Braun 8585 is worth every penny.I am extremely happy with it.I believe it to be the finest electric shaver available today. The other two shavers I tried during my recent search failed in so many ways by comparison. You really do get what you pay for with electric shavers.

One of the shavers I tried was the Remington MS3-1700 Titanium 3 MicroScreen Ultra.By comparison the Remington was much louder especially the sideburn trimmer which made me feel like I should insert earplugs before putting that thing so close to my ear. Also, even though it has the 3 screens, it took a much longer time to shave and it did not do that good of a job.

This Braun works really great and is impressively better than my old one which I was very happy with.I highly recommend the 8585!

3-0 out of 5 stars Fast shaver, poor neck area shaving, probably over-rated
I am a regular buyer on Amazon, with a pattern of buying 25 items a year for the last 5 years (yikes!) and I have never written a review about anything I bought.

I bought this razor based on the high acclaim that other users have given it.I have been using Mach 3 blades for the last several years, and decided that I might try to save a bit by buying an upper-end electric.

In short, I'm not THAT impressed, and continue to shave with both a Mach 3 regular razor & this one.My biggest complaint is the dismal job it does under your jaws and on the neck.I know you're suppossed to give an electric razor 3-4 weeks, but this has not helped. My search for the perfect electric continues.

The pros for this razor include how fast it shaves, and what a good job it does on flat surfaces on your face.I think because it has a big flat retangular head, it does poorly on neck area because the entire head can't be firmly placed again your skin. That's probably why a Norelco with it's triple head design does better on neck areas and small areas (if you have a big neck, maybe this electric will perform better).

Other aspects such as looks and build quality are a consideration but for me they fall a distant second to issues such as the shaving quality. The razor might look good, or have too big a base for cleaning, or clean itself but when I'm at work, I will remember the razor on how poorly it shaved my neck.Overall, I would happily spend another $100 to get a razor that does half a job that a Mach 3 hand-held blade and good old shaving cream will do.

5-0 out of 5 stars An excellent electric shaver
I've been a blade man since my very first shave over 25 years ago.I tried an electric shaver once and hated the results, so I stuck with blades despite their rising costs.

I saw a couple deals come and go on the Braun 8585 at a "hot deals" site I frequent, and I finallybit on the third one.Wow!Very impressive.

The razor burned my skin after the first use, but I used it straight out of the box, instead of running it through a cleaning cycle first.Since the first shave it has been very comfortable.

There are those who say it shaves as close as a blade and those who say it doesn't.I suppose that depends on many factors.
I have a tough beard, but I also don't mind spending the extra time with the Braun to get my face smooth. For me it shaves as close as a blade.

I can only reiterate some excellent tips that have already been given:

1. To save cleaning fluid, always remove the cleaning cartridge from the unit and recap it tightly. Also the cleaning fluid is most denatured alcohol, so if you wanted to buy a bottle of that to refill the cartridge it would probably work fine.

2. Pop the head of the razor off and shake it over your garbage can before you stick it into the cleaner. This will "trick" the cleaner into Eco mode 99% of the time.Saves fluid and noise.

3. The noise is only for a couple of seconds two or three times per 30 minute cleaning cycle, and only in the beginning. Most of the cleaning cycle seems to be drying time, so the unit is quiet.

4. A long time electric razor user warned me to be careful with these ultra-thin foil razors. The foil head can crack sooner than you'd expect and you end up cutting your face, so inspect your foil head regularly.

5.Enjoy the Braun 8585, or 8595!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Thankful Mom
I have three children in diapers. My oldest is 4 years old and is autistic. We have not been able to potty train him yet.
We tried several brands only to find out that Pampers Baby Dry was always the one we went back to.No question! No leaks! But the cost of our diapers just adds up.Amazon has the absolute cheapest price I have found - in stores or on-line.And free shipping, and I got (...) off with a promotion for baby items over (...) prurchased.I made out!And never had to leave my door! Thanks Amazon!Really!

Okay, the title says it all - these diapers just don't leak for larger babies.I love them and use them exclusively for our child at night (he's trained during the day) and have no problems whatsoever. They're a snap to put on and just are wonderful to use.I can't recommend these enough - I've tried so many brands and these definitely work the best.I have broken too many fingernails changing crib sheets from the results of cheap leaky diapers and so therefore, I highly recommend these diapers, and so do my nails! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Best wipes
I love these wipes - much better than Huggies which I think are too thick and rough and not as moist. These are soft as a baby's bottom, moist and the containers allow easy access. We buy the refills in bulk.In the baby bargains book, they recommend sticking to brand name wipes and I agree and fully recommend Pampers over other brands. Now for diapers, we've had success with brand and generic kinds (including Wal-mart's White Cloud and Target's brand).

5-0 out of 5 stars The best I've found!
These are the best wipes I've found.(I've tried LUVS and Huggies too)They're thick yet soft and moist.I like how they do not have unnecessary additives that may irritate my daughters sensitive skin. The new pop-ups tubs are the greatest too-- the lids pop right up with the touch of a finger, as do the wipes (if properly installed). They are SOOO much more convenient than the Huggies reach-in tub, especially when changing a dirty diaper.I would recommend these to anyone!

5-0 out of 5 stars Because Everybody Poops
This is a great product for cleaning your pre-toilet trained baby.Suffice it to say that you will need a lot of these. I like the fact that it is natural (no artificial scents) and contains soothing aloe vera. Recommended.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Wipes
We used to use the Costco brand wipes until recently. Now that our daughter is over 1 year old, the Pampers are much more effective!
Great diapers, too bad Costco stopped carrying them

I honestly think Pampers makes the best wipes and these are no different, especially if your baby has very sensitive skin like mine does. They do an especially good job at completely wiping away the messes but doing it very gently.I use these with a diaper wipe warmer and they're just great. In addition, I also use them on the baby's hands and face with no problems whatsoever. When the mattress gets soiled, once again, these wipes come to the rescue. This is a great product and one I'm very glad that I found. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great Shaver
I've had 2 remington microscreen shavers and neither did the job that this norelco does. i like this design better, it conforms much better to the shape of my face and gives a smooth shave. Great deal and worth the thirty-some bucks I paid for it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Beats Cordless!
My beefs with my old cordless shavers have always been the weight and the lack of power, especially when the batteries are low.

This is a lightweight and powerful shaver at an excellent price!

Plus, cmon, how many times in your life have you really needed to shave without an electrical outlet within reach?

5-0 out of 5 stars for the price you cannot do better
I was a long time razor shaver until a couple of years ago I purchased a Braun electric shaver; it was never to my satisfaction but I did not give it much thought; when it almost stopped shaving I came back to Amazon and found this Norelco; it gives a smooth and close shave; it is quiet and very easy to clean; I love it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Can't Go Wrong
This is a great basic electric razor, with the only features you will ever need.It shaves and trims nicely, costing a fraction of the "higher" end razors.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great basic Electric Razor
I have been a Norelco Electric Razor user for about fifteen years. In fact this new one just replaced my original. When I first received it one month ago I was immediatly skeptical because it said Made in China. My original norelco was made in Holland as was all Norelcos. After using it every day for a month, needless to say, I won't need to pull my old one back out. I'm impressed with how comfortable and easily it takes off my whiskers. The floating head is truly a floating head, not just the blades like my older model. It gets close around my nose and mouth, and there is no irritated skin left behind. If you have never used an electric, give it a try for at least a couple weeks before giving up. It will take that long for your skin to adjust. Don't bear down, but just let the razor do the work, and I'm sure you will enjoy the results. Norelco is easy on the skin. JB ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars This is all you need
Why expensive product?, like the title saids all purpose, It is great, cheap, and comes with amazing accesories.

1-0 out of 5 stars Cannot recommend this
I owned a Wahl trimmer before and decided to try out the Norelco Trimmer coz of its price. I only use the trimmer occassionally. The trimmer is nice and light, and handles the job well. Even liked the nose trimmer attachment. The battery charger however, is a piece of junk. I had followed instructions and charged the unit for the first time as indicated in the manual. I used the trimmer a couple of times after that till the charge ran out. When I tried to recharge it, it just died out. No indicator light - nothing. It looks pretty, but is anything but sturdy. I switched back to my Wahl trimmer.

5-0 out of 5 stars Can't beat it for price
I use this groomer for everything. It cuts through the hair on my head with no trouble when I decide it's time for the bald look.It does a nice job of trimming nose and ear hair.It allows me to trim my moustache and eyebrows with great accuracy.I even use it on my girlfriend to trim something that shall go unmentioned here, but she never complains about the results.I would buy this product again.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great deal
I was looking for a good trimer for my beard. I was also looking for a nose and ear hair trimmer. I came across this set and it had both items I was looking for in one package. When I received the trimmer it was packaged in a clear plastic casing. It comes with a cheap charging stand holder. The item worked better than expected. It trimed my beard well. The nose hair came off without pain. The set is light weight and the case holder not the best, In fact it was slightly difficult to put the plug into the charging stand. I liked the set since it does work well. In fact, I bought an extra one to give as a gift to my brother in law.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great price
I have been using it for some time, and I can say the price is really great for the product. Takes care of all the trimming one can need for less than $20. It is a no-brainer. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars crappy shave... and trimmer/ shaper
I have been using this razor for 1 month.Takes about 20 minutes to get an unclean shave. Trimmer doesn't trim very well. Plus, foil makes it difficult to see what your shaping

5-0 out of 5 stars Best bang for buck
Ok so i saw this shaver in a magazine ad and it caught my eye, I needed a new shaver to replace my old Norelco, so i thought i'll give this one a shot since it had alot of things to offer. I don't have a beard or goatee so i can't tell you about shaping up using the features provided on this shaver but i'm really satisfied with it so far just after the first day of use. After one quick shave, my skin felt alot smoother i like the fact that you can rinse it in water and you can go wireless. Well i must warn you though, those of you looking for a perfect shave look elsewhere and expect to pay more, because this if for more of a quick shave on the go person. For the price i recommend it to everyone and amazon.com got it to my house in 3 days with free shipping!

5-0 out of 5 stars The only all-in-one solution
I have a goatee and I have been looking for a single shaving device that would trim and define my beard and also give me a decent shave for those times when I don't want to use a razor. The cruzer3 was the only device I could find that claimed to do all three tasks.I took a chance and ordered it through Amazon - and I'm very happy with the purchase. The shaver works well; not as good as a razor of course, but it's great for touching up spots I missed or a full shave when I'm in a hurry. The trimming blades are well-shaped and work much better than I thought they would.A blade that extends 90 degrees from the handle works best for trimming and defining, but the cruzer3's blades work well (you just have to tilt the shaver 90 degrees from your face). The beard trimmer attachment also works well.I have a hair trimmer that I use for buzz cuts and was using it for beard trimming, but the cruzer3 works just as well. And it's one less device I have to keep track of.Finally, I appreciate the fact that I can rinse off the unit with water when I'm done.I am completely satisified with the cruzer3; it meets all of my requirements for an all-purpose shaver/trimmer.

5-0 out of 5 stars Once you go Sonicare, you don't go back!
I bit the bullet and bought this toothbrush a couple months ago because my dentist diagnosed me with periodontal disease after he found about 5 cavities, recessed gums, and 32 sites of bleeding along my gumline. Granted, I hadn't had a professional cleaning in over 2 years. I also have crowded teeth due to my wisdom teeth, which make it especially hard to clean in the back of my mouth. I decided to buy the Sonicare as an investment, after paying around $1,000 for all the fillings, cleanings, and root planing & scaling he had to do over the course of 2 months to treat my disease. Well, I think it worked because last week I went for a follow-up and the hygienist said that my teeth looked noticeably cleaner, AND my periodontal pockets had shrunken and the number of bleeding sites had reduced from 32 to 4!I can't attribute all of this to the Sonicare because I'm sure their treatment and my longer brushing sessions due to the Sonicare's timer helped a lot too, but I'm confident that at least part of the improvement was due to the Sonicare's superior cleaning.

I had the original Sonicare a few years ago, but it died on me. I'm glad I upgraded to this new one because it reaches the rear, hard-to-reach areas much easier than the last one, thanks to the slimmer head and angled brush. That's especially important for someone like me whose rear teeth are the most vulnerable to problems. The new model is also lighter, looks sleeker, and has a rubber grip (I love the tactile feel of those). The 7300 has a charge indicator, which frankly I don't feel is a big deal because I always return the brush to its charging unit after use anyway.

Using the Sonicare takes some getting used to for newbies because it may tickle and feel weird, but it has a ramp-up feature that gradually increases the speed during the first few uses. Once you get used to it though, it's nothing. I enjoy the invigorating feeling of it, and my mouth just feels so clean afterwards. The unit has a pacer that makes sure you spend 30 seconds on each of the 4 sections of your mouth, which is good because it forces you to brush correctly. However, it is annoying if you like to brush your tongue like I do, because then you have to turn it on for another few seconds to do that (you get used to it though)-I believe the higher model allows you to customize the timer to allow for additional brush time. The timer can be a little annoying when you're exhausted and just want to brush as fast as possible, but that's just me being lazy-I always feel a surge of guilt when I turn it off prematurely, which may be a good thing because my teeth and gums (and wallet) will probably thank me in the long run for brushing properly.

Another thing that takes getting used to is the amount of foam the brush generates due to its sonic action-I like to keep my mouth slightly open when I'm brushing so I can make sure I'm getting all the areas and am angling the brush correctly (they recommend keeping it at around a 30 degree angle to your tooth surface), so in the beginning I would drool toothpaste foam each time. I'm gotten better though, so there's usually just a little foam dribble now!

Not only does my mouth feel spotless after using the Sonicare, but my teeth have gotten noticeably whiter too-several people have commented on that.

I sometimes buy gadgets and get tired when their novelty wears off, but that hasn't happened with the Sonicare-I have used it virtually daily for the last couple of months and am hooked.I traveled once and left it at home, and I felt so caveman-like sticking that big blunt old-fashioned toothbrush in my mouth during that time. Not to mention that my mouth didn't feel as clean.

I have a set that came with extra heads, a head storage stand, and a deluxe travel case. Each head has a different colored band around the neck, which is great because you can share it with your partner and keep track of which head is whose. The case is a nice touch for traveling-I took mine without the charging base on a 4-day trip recently during which I shared it with a friend (i.e., 4 uses per day) and it lasted the whole trip and then some on a single charge.

Keeping the unit clean can be annoying because the well into which you screw on the head accumulates water which eventually starts to discolor and smell like mold/mildew. In order to minimize this, I take the head off after each use, shake the water out of the well, and allow the unit to air-out while it sits in the charger base-but the smell still happens, albeit more slowly. Therefore, every couple of weeks, I clean the well and my brush head with a bleach solution to disinfect and deodorize everything.I'm curious to see how long this unit lasts, because it seems that many people complain of Sonicares dying after a year.My original one lasted over a year, but I used it very infrequently (never got hooked on it). I hope the new one lasts a while, because it was expensive!

All in all, I highly recommend the Sonicare, especially for people with dental problems. Don't waste your money on the original ("Advanced") model because this one is so much better.

5-0 out of 5 stars This toothbrush ROCKS!!!
I bought this toothbrush based on the other good reviews and it was worth it!!I can't go into detail in design because for me it doesn't matter.I have owned electric toothbrushes, but they were about 30 bucks or so.I got the 7300 because of the price - much less than the 7500.

It has been a wonderful experience.I have been using it for about 2 months and my dentist is amazed.I had periodontal disease (?)My gums were a wretched horror and the condition is totally reversed. My dentsist wanted to do a scaling and now it is not necessary.

I still don't floss as I should, but my gums are pink, now and the pockets aren't as deep and most have disappeared.I give this product two thumbs up and I will buy another one in the future.

5-0 out of 5 stars Lightweight and less "buzz" than older models.
I had an older model a while back, and hated the way it buzzed, and sprayed toothpaste all over the place. It was also awkward, and I gave up and went back to a regular toothbrush. But, then I lost dental insurance, and wanted to be able to keep my teeth cleaner between visits, so started shopping Amazon again. It's so great to be able to read reviews.

I'm really happy with this toothbrush. It's light, and the word "elegant" actually comes to mind. The brush head is much smaller than the old dynosaur I had, and it doesn't buzz as much, and doesn't spray toothpaste around much at all.I haven't reached for "old faithful" since I bought this model.

5-0 out of 5 stars Whitens teeth
I love my Sonicare toothbrush.I does a wonderful job cleaning and makes my teeth appear whiter. It is easy to use and easy to charge. The only complaint I have is that they don't make one in a travel size.

4-0 out of 5 stars Sonicare PL4 (4700)
If you don't own one of these, you should.I bought the Advance 4700 for my son and I tried it.OH MY!!!! I'm hooked! The only negative was the brush head and handle was considerably larger than the Elite 7300.I see the price has dropped on the 4300 to around $79. A friend has the 7300 and the ergonomic design of the handle and skinner brush head makes it really much more comfortable. But on the other hand, some people like larger things stuck in their mouth, so it that's the case, go for the $20 savings and get the 4300.All I can say is, I want to go brush my teeth right now.You won't be sorry with either! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars pretty cool
i got mine about a year ago. its been very handy. the battery last a long time. dont have to take the charger along or anythign its awsome. if im going out on a date or something i usually use a mach3 to get it real smooth but other than that this is preobobly the easiest way to go.

5-0 out of 5 stars Norelco 8894 XL is XLNT
I bought this razor 14 months ago and haven't regretted it an instant.I use this razor everyday without irritation of any kind.I use to use a regular triple bladed razor with shaving cream and I hated it due to the irritation. The Norelco doesn't shave as close but no electric will unless the blades actually touch your face (and then talk about irritation!) but it does a great job and I look well groomed.

4-0 out of 5 stars Fantastic
This razor (Spectra 8825XL) shaves comfortably and closely. Heads mould to your facial contours and just feels great on your skin. Battery lasted an entire week when I went camping.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Razor
One of the best electric razors I've ever used.Went on vacation and a buddy of mine had one and I liked it so much I bought it.In the 2 years I've had it I never had a hair yanked out.Not as smooth as a regular razor, but no electric is.Be cautious with the replacement heads putting them in.Make sure you don't seperate the pieces as it's hard to put back together, but it should just pop right into the razor.

3-0 out of 5 stars the heads dont last long enough

5-0 out of 5 stars Hit a home run with this shaver
I never owned an electric shaver before, but I hit a homer with this one. Used it 20 times so far and haven't had to recharge it. Easy to clean, and does a nice job. Completely satisfied with my purchase.

2-0 out of 5 stars Shaves fine, but don't shave last thing before you leave.
The shaver does a fine job of shaving as far as I am concerned. However the charging system is severely lacking.

More than once I have had to wait 10 mins for the battery to recharge so I could finish upshaving. You can't just pop the cord into it and shave like most razors. So don't try and shave last thing before you leave in the morning.

Theres also no indication that the battery is about to die on you.I usually can't even tell that the motor is getting slower. If you buy this razor, make sure you plug it in once a week, or you'll be left half shaven.

4-0 out of 5 stars Remarkable electric razor...
This razor by Norelco is excellent.I have had close shaves ever since I bought this a month ago.Two of my senior leaders borrowed my razor when their electric razors broke and they remarked how good it was.The only reason this is 4 stars is the lack of a power meter on this model. While not perfect, I consider this to be a worthwhile investment.

4-0 out of 5 stars It works fairly well
After much thought, I decided to buy an electric shaver. I expected to get as close shave as my razor in less time. I needed to decide from an array of brands and models. I decided to go with Norelco 6613 because it was only $35. So the investment was small.

After getting the shaver, I gave my skin 2-3 weeks to get used to it. Now it shaves almost as close as my razor. However, I can't manage to shave off all the hair. A few always remain. But I can quickly remove those with my razor later.

The build quality of this shaver is quite good. Mine survived a drop onto bathroom tiles from a height of 3ft.

However, everything is not perfect with this razor. There is no low-battery indicator. The charge indicator LED only tells you whether you have plugged it in or not. It doesn't switch off after full charge.

If you are willing to live with this drawback, then go for this shaver.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Razor

5-0 out of 5 stars Fabulous razor
My first Norelco finally died recently after 13 years of use. With that kind of reliability, along with the positive reviews I read here, I decided to replace it with another Norelco, the 6843XL. I LOVE this razor. It's much quieter than my old one, which makes my wife happy when I'm shaving while she's still trying to sleep. And it shaves much closer than my old one, even shaving every day. It looks cool, keeps its charge well, and comes with a nylon carrying case. Highly recommended.

5-0 out of 5 stars Little shaver that is SUPER
I like the Norelco cord/corded razor because I am in a wheel-
chatr. Quite often I cannot get near an outlet or have a
handicap mirror available, and I have to shave by the
"feel-only method". The Norelco cord/cordless razor allows
me a versatility in how and where I shave. For me this
product is SUPER.

4-0 out of 5 stars works like a charm
i've been using electric shavers for years and this one works great...
pros:
1. you can use it when plugged in (although you obviously need to be careful about water)...no more 5 o'clock shadow because the battery isn't charged.
2. it's multi-voltage, which means you can plug it in almost anywhere in the world (with an adaptor) and it will just work.
3. The beard trimmer is excellent and easy to clean (unlike my old remington, where hair would get stuck in the beard trimmer and be impossible to get out)

cons:
1. it's a little on the big side, not so much that it's uncomfortable to hold but for travel it would be nice if it were a bit smaller.

4-0 out of 5 stars Easy Adjustment from Nonelectric
Unlike others, my motivation for going with electric shaving was based on medicine. That is, I am so many different blood thinners that, no matter what shaving system I use, I managed to get at least a small cut or two and these would bleed and bleed, etc.So, it occurred to me to try an electric razor.I read the generally excellent reviews posted at this site--thanks to all of you guys for your input!I decided on this middle of the line Norelco. It's a couple of models from the bottom; the bottom one is cord only, the next one is cordless only, and then comes this model.I spent some time at the store looking over the different blade systems; even Norelco alone has several going.I knew I didn't want that squishy mess like the most expensive, and I was reluctant to sink a small fortune into something I might not like. What decided most of all for me to get this 'Reflex Plus' system was that it has a whisker collection chamber so they don't go all over the place.I think the model(s) above this have lithium ion batteries, whereas this model still has NiCads--which I hate.If I traveled more than I do, I'd spring for the model above for about $10 more.NiCads are slow to charge and are generally crummy; I've been using them in photo equipment for 30 years. This particular razor can be used just as easily plugged into the wall, which I like.I also like the fact that it doesn't require a separate charging stand, you just plug the cord into the bottom.

How did it shave?Great for me.I'm blond with a fairly soft beard and it plowed through about 3 days' worth of beard, making a chopping sound the whole time.I felt an occasional 'pull' but then this was fairly long beard.Once the long hair was gone I found it quite smooth to shave with.I bought some 'Lectric Shave' at the store at the same time I bought the razor but I didn't use it.Having fairly light-colored hair on my face, I never have the Fred Flintstone look regardless.I found, though, that the razor certainly got my beard acceptably close.I can still feel hair on my face, but not to an unacceptable degree.I have usually used a German Mercury double-edge razor with Wilkinson Sword blades and this doesn't shave that close. It might do better or different with another's beard. As for me, I'm delighted, and it didn't cut me at all.I'm in my forties, so don't have any deep wrinkles, etc., to cut through. That might be different.

Unlike some of the other razors I looked at, this model is light to hold and not bulky. Some of the other, more expensive models seemed both huge and heavy.I wasn't willing to mess with that.Having only used this a couple of weeks, I can't speak to the long-term durability.Seems appropriate to the price, though.I don't think it'll cost me particularly more than blades and shave gel in the long run.It is very quiet.I am looking forward to many more pleasant shaves! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars rocks
I have a very very heavy beard and this thing is amazing, better my razors, because you can go against the grain

3-0 out of 5 stars Great shaver, but the trimmer...
This is a great shaver if you will use it wet. I use it everyday with mild liquid soap and it shaves surprisingly very close. However, I haven't had good results when I use it dry. It takes me a lot of time to shave and the metal foil feels kind of hot after a while. I guess this is because the razor/foil is thinner and at a higher revolution than most electric shavers. My old dry-only braun rechargeable shaver was much much better in this mode.

Moreover, the trimmer in this Panasonic shaver is, in my particular case, unsuitable. I cannot trim my sideburns at all (not dry, nor wet). It will only trim "baby-type" hair, not sideburns.

So, in this case, I still use my old Braun for trimmer or dry applications. For wet applications, I don't use disposable shavers anymore. This shaver is excellent when used wet.

My 2 cents.

2-0 out of 5 stars Loved it - but died a year later!
I purchased this shaver on November 28, 2003. I recieved it a week later and have used it almost daily up until this past weekend. It officially died on Saturday, March 19, 2005. It lasted 15 months! (See similar review by "Jeff") Given the $130 I spend on it, I expected it to last a long, long time. I called around to see if I could get it repaired but only Panasonic will fix it but it is out of warranty.

I've used electric shavers for many years and many models. They continue to improve. Before this Panasonic, I was a Braun fan. I have a heavy beard and sensitive skin. I gave up on the bladed razors for every day use years ago. I must admit, I use a blade razor for special events like weddings and interveiws. I got a great shave from the Pansonic and used it as a wet shaver. If you experiment with several shave creams, I believe you will eventually find one that give you a great shave with the Panasonic. The two downsides I have noticed of the Panasonci were the batter life, I seemed to get less shaves per charge lately, and it needs a good cleaning from time to time to keep bacteria from growing inside the shave block. What next? I went to my bathroom closet and pulled out my last electric shaver - a Braun 7000 series. I kept it as a back-up and I'm glad I did. After two days of using the old shaver, I have come to a few conclusions. Braun makes a great product that is reliable. The shave is not quite as good as the Panasonic and I get a bit of razor burn on my neck. Also, the dry razor saves a bit of time in the morning but I loose the morning shave therapy of hot water and the fragrance of my favorite shave cream - L'Occitane. Where do I go from here? I am thinking of trying the new Braun 8000 series. The reviews here on Amazon and other places seem very positive. I will not rule out a Panasonic in the future but they will have to improve the life span of the product. There should be no reason way this product should die after 15 months of use in this day and age.

2-0 out of 5 stars Lasted only for a year
I bought the ES8092 NC on December 2003 with confidence that this will be the best shaver I will ever have. Two weeks ago, it died on me. Warranty is only 1 year. Called Panasonic Headquarters, sent them email too but could not do anything about it. I will never purchase this again.

2-0 out of 5 stars Very Disappointed- Have to Touch Up with my Mach 3
I received this shaver as a Christmas gift this past year. This is my first electric shaver in many years, and as I have a heavy beard, I have always opted to shave with a manual razor. But after reading the many positive reviews here at Amazon and also in other forums, I thought that perhaps the technology had significantly advanced since I first tried an electric razor (at least 20 years ago!).

As the instructions suggest, I "stuck with it" for about a month, and at first it seemed to work pretty well. But as I got used to the routine of shaving with an electric razor, I found that more often than not I was re-shaving spots that the Panasonic would miss with my Mach 3 razor.Even if I kept going over the area, it would not shave any closer.Secondly, the clean-up sounds easy, but it actually takes me twice as long to shave and clean this shaver versus when I use a Mach 3 (you only rinse the Mach 3 under water for a few seconds, and you are done).

Now, I am also noticing that when I do use the Panasonic shaver, it makes a "sick sound" like a grinding noise, when I first turn it on.Perhaps this is a sign that it is going to die soon, as I have read in many of the lower rated reviews.

After several months, I now only use this Panasonic shaver when I am in a hurry or need a quick shave.I am now back to shaving regularly with my Mach 3 (closest shave ever - Gillette has come a long way from the days of "Super Stainless" and "Blue Blades"!!)

Although for most people, this Panasonic shaver would probably suffice, if you have a heavy beard, I would stick to using a blade and lather. The only thing I wish is that I was able to return the Panasonic Shaver for a full refund.

1-0 out of 5 stars Bad design
While the concept of the built in comb is a good one, this design just does not work well and don't count on the vacuum catching all your clippings because it can only hold about half the volume of a shot glass. I ended throwing mine away and switching back to my old Oster hair clippers with the snap on combs for my head and bought a small rechargeable Waring beard trimmer. The twist dial for the comb length on this unit can be wrong - I gouged my beard/sideburns once with this unit. The comb unit must be removed for frequent cleaning and putting it back on correctly takes a delicate touch. The large size of the unit and comb also makes it verr difficult to trim your moustache close to your nose. Don't waste your money.

1-0 out of 5 stars keystone cops
As my title says this trimmer is the keystone cops of beard trimmers. The people who call this trimmer good must have peach fuzz for beards. The vacuum is a waste of money, it keeps getting clogged so you have to take it apart two or three times during trimming to keep it working. DON'T take apart the vacuum too much to clean as the spring inside is loose and it ended up in the trap of my sink. And finally forget the settings. I start off with a three setting for example and notice some of my beard is shorter than other parts and look at the settings and somehow the thing has slipped to #2. So then you do a 2 only to find out it has slipped again to 1. If you want a laugh buy this thing but if you want a trim dont buy it. Where is my old definition sixty which was battery operated but was better than this. Go back to the drawing board and do away with all the gadgetry and come out with something that trims beards properly and maintains the settings. Is that too much to ask??

4-0 out of 5 stars Tried the rest. This is the best
I've tried others, corded and rechargeable. Nothing beats a Norelco. The vaccum gets about 80% of the hair and cuts better then any other shaver I have had (except other Norelcos.)

4-0 out of 5 stars Good Trimmer - not good for cutting hair
I ordered this trimmer to replace a dead Panasonic trimmer. I used that trimmer both for my beard and for clipping my head hair down to very short size once every couple of months. The panasonic worked very well for both purposes.

This Norelco is a great beard trimmer and the vac part is quite nice in that it makes much less of a mess. However, it is a horrible trimmer for thick head hair like mine. I know that that's not what it's for, but just in case someone is looking for a trimmer for the same purpose: don't buy this one. The head hair accumulates in the vac part and in front of the blade, making you empty it almost every stroke. Once full of hair, the trimmer does next to nothing until you empty it, and then is only good for another 1 stroke. The motor also easily gets overloaded in thick hair and stops.

Again - fine beard trimmer, but do not use for head hair. I'll be buying the updated Panasonic model again to replace this one for that purpose.

5-0 out of 5 stars Norelco T970 Accu-Vac Beard and Moustache Trimmer
I think it works great.Easy to use and change depth setting and cutting heads.Hey it's made of plastic like everything today so just be careful with it.I just recommended it and another personal grooming product (as well as the Amazon experience) to a friend. ... Read more
