Amazon.com Review By delivering a light pulsation from a 9-volt battery (included), the 26gold-plated contact points inside this facemask gradually tone the skin andreduce the appearance of wrinkling. The mask's control unit has a knob thatadjusts the pulsation intensity to suit individual preference. Though the maskis made of hard plastic, you can adjust the headband and extend key contactpoints by rotating them so you can fit the mask to any face size, both male andfemale. A booklet clearly explains how to use the mask, and a video is included foradditional instruction. The basics, however, are easy to grasp. The 26 contactpoints cover 12 zones of the face. When it's turned on, the mask activates thecontact points in a particular zone for about 20 seconds, and then proceedsthough the other 11 zones one by one, repeating the sequence four times. A fulltreatment takes about 15 minutes, and you may apply two treatments each day. Toensure proper skin interaction, each contact point needs a dab of toning gel.Two ounces of gel are included, but you can purchase more separately, along withadditional contact points if the originals wear down. The mask carries aone-year warranty against defects. --Fred Brack ... Read more

See the results for yourself!!!
I bought this product and just after 2 sessions I could see results....I think this is a great product if you use as directed!
It's a wicked creepy kind of cool, and it somehow works!
I got this mask brand-new from big lots, and whether or not you want a review of big-lots, I'm gonna give one here too. I got stuck going to big lots with a friend to look for a plunger, which we did not find, but I did realize I have a lot less esteem for Jerry van dyke than I used to. The prices are outrageous for a so-called "outlet" store, ($5 for two lightbulbs!), but I did find this mask at a reasonable price. What happened? Jerry is peddling liquidated merchandise, and Dobber, (name on Coach), is now sponge bob's lover patrick. Anywho, about the mask-I have chronic insomnia (which is hard on my only 20something skin, thus the need for this type of product), and I remember amusing myself in the wee hours by watching this infomercial, which was rich with all the usual hilarious cliches. I remembered the price of the mask being like $300 or something, and at $12.00 big lots, I thought it was a great buy, after all it's the infamous rejuvenique! If anything, I'm an artist, and a pretty wierd person, and I knew I could have some fun with it someway, if it worked or not. I figured it wouldn't work and might burn somewhat, like those ems weight-loss belts that got pulled off the market, but ems is used for physical therapy patients who can't move muscles well on there own yet, and so it wasn't like this was totally frankenstien science. After I got it home I read all the instructions, and gave it a try. The mask didn't fit my face well, and the contacts did dimple my face a bit, (went away after a few minutes), and I had to hold it in place, wich was not "relaxing", nor rejuvenating. The gel was really hard to apply to the contacts in any exacting manner, but I managed to get an appropriate amount of gel onto the contacts. I put the mask on, positioned it like instructed, and turned the unit on. The instructions say to start at 3, but I did at 2, just to be safe. I ended up going past 4 on my lips down, but I didn't turn it down in time before it passed my brows again, and it hurt quite a bit! I was reminded of the scene in "G" with eddie murphy, where Morgan Fairchild turns her dermo-toner up to high, which caused me to laugh, which caused more pain! I thought for sure I'd have visible burns, but no such luck. By the time I got half-way through my treatment (the machine passes twice down one side of face then the other), my cat was seriously spooked by the mask, and was howling and trying to get me to take it off, so I did. OMG! I couldn't believe it, the left side of my face was actually firmer to the touch. the dark circles and puffiness around my eye was almost gone, and you could really see a difference in my skin tone, and the structure of my face! My left eye looked open, and my brow wasn't furrowed, my laugh lines were nearly gone, it was like a mini-face lift or botox! The only problem is, I didn't do the other side, darn cat! The system works for me, but now the right side of my face is droopy, it's hard to focus my eyes, because one is open and the other is droopy, and my pupils are confused as what size to maintain. I guess I'll use it again tommorrow, and leave it off my face for the first half of the treatment. Hopefully that will work, my Aunts coming to visit tuesday, and as of right now, I look like a stroke victim. Oh well, maybe she'll feel sorry for me and pay for my photography classes, either that or she'll make fun of me, and I'll let her borrow my rejuvenique, and rig it to stay at 7. ;/
This does work! I see it and others tell me how great I look
I will tell you when I put this on around my husband he won't look at me and says I look scary BUT I will tell you it WORKS.
It takes down the puffiness of age and smoothes the lines. My cheekbones look great and the feedback I get from friends and family proves it works. Little do they know, I've go my mask making it happen. Let's face it, gravity and ageing happens, why not take 15 minutes a few times a week to look your best?
I highly recommend it. Follow the directions carefully and make sure to clean it properly after each use. Also make sure you are shipped a NEW one not used.
This odd little mask really does work
Okay folks...time for the true story on Rejuvenique. And with the price Amazon is cool enough to offer now, everyone can afford to give it a whirl. $30.00-$50.00 is an outstanding value compared to the original price of $99-$199. Do yourself a favor: DO NOT LISTEN TO THE FEAR-MONGERS.
First, before you buy, I have some probing questions for you:
1.)Do you really care if you look like Michael Myers fromHalloween with the mask on, or do you want to look younger?
2.)Would you ever buy an electronic facial appliance used like some dorks have outlined in their reviews? Or are you bright and informed? Are you aware delicate electronic instruments should always be NEW, or aleast in correct working order, before you ever strap them onto a delicate thing like a face? Do you want to save $$ or do you want to look younger?
3.)Do you really care about "objective analysis" & "empirical data" or do you simply want to look YOUNGER?
The answer to every tag line is a resounding yes. Data? What data does one need other than the impressions gleened from the mirror and input of others. Let's cut right to it then.
Why do I need their gel to use the mask? The company will make tons off my re-orders. How convenient for them. And why should I use gel anyway -- what a con! Wrong and wrong again. These masks work by electrical current. Water is the conductor -- the water content provided by the GEL! So yes, you do need gel to make the appliance work correctly. However, there is nothing proprietary about Rejuvenique's formula. Of course, if you did not buy Rejuvenique from a thrift store, one would be shrewd enough to deduce as much simply from examining their gel. One may purchase aloe-vera gel in a pump bottle from Walgreens. A bottle which will last 6 months - 1 year will set you back a whopping $5.00!
Rejuvenique is unsafe and it does not work. Wrong and wrong again. Used in the correct manner and with proper frequency, you will see positive results -- with absolutely no threat to your health or safety. This said, there are a few subtleties to using Rejuvenique to best advantage, which simply reading theenclosed manual will not quite elucidate. This is the resason I am riting an FYI review now. I can show everyone how to use this product effectively and safely, bottom line.
Now EMS -- Electronic Muscle Stimulation -- does work. EMS may not work for everyone, but it works well for most, myself included. Rejuvenique is more than safe at the levels ofelectrical current transmitted. That is, perfectly safe for normal folks without any medical problems. There may be people with heart or brain ailments, etc., who cannot and should not use this product; I do not know about this in particular, as I am not one of them. In addition, this is not an advocacy piece, per se, for Rejuvenique; I am simply recounting my own personal experience with a given product for your review.
Avoid the following, and a user will never have any serious problems with the appliance:
-Do not use the appliance in the pouring rain.
-Do not use the appliance with broken skin or rashes.
-Do not use the appliance when it is faulty or damaged.
-Do not use the appliance on full blast.
-Do not use the appliance too often.
-Do not use the appliance for too many sessions back-to-back.
That pretty much covers it folks. I will only address the final three points in detail, as the first three points should be self-explanatory -- except, perhaps, for those folks who buyelectronic components from Thrift stores.
INTENSITY SETTING: It will not make you any younger, any faster, to use Rejuvenique at the highest settings; in fact, quite the reverse may be true. Usually levels '4'-'6' prove to be the best. Why is full blast a mistake? Simple: it is, to say the least, VERY UNCOMFORTABLE TO EXPERIENCE!! I have (in error) set the control unit on full load a few times. It's a bummer to be certain. But it only lasts a moment -- just as long as one is fool enough to keep it there. Solution? Turn it down! You will also quickly learn that, while some areas may take a '6' or an '8', other areas will only be able to tolerate a '4' or a '5'. But burns and the like here? Never. Never ever - that's the con!
DAYS PER WEEK: The number of days per week best for each individual varies, so you will need to experiment. Using the device more frequently or for prolonged sessions will not necessarily yeild superior results. This is very critical to understand. In fact, along with learning to use the correct pulse-levels, this is a key area in learning the 'subtle ways' of Rejuvenique. Using the mask daily may be okay for some people. If this is you, fine. Daily use will not allow for adequate "recovery time" by other users, however. Therefore, be very conscious, and cautious, with how the 'pulses' feel on your face each day (or time) you decide to use the mask. This is important. Why? The mask DOES work; however, you must view the use of this appliance as TRUE EXERCISE, because that's precisely what it is. Some individuals, for example, can run every day. Even with the daily strain, these folks will only go farther, get faster, and become stronger. This is the type of training THEIR bodies crave. In contrast, other individuals will surely bomb on a daily routine of running. These people will only get faster or stronger with episodic training -- say, every other day, or even every three days, etc.. Rejuvenique is no different than running in this regard.
Prolonged sessions: I would not advocate more than three back-to-back sessions -- this would be a total time of 45 minutes. However, it seems it may be possible to improve results with an hour total use per day, or four sessions, for some individuals.
Once again, you will need to experiment until you come up with the regimen which works best for you ( I could not have gotten my results with prolonged use or going strictly by what the guidelines said in the manual). Pulse level, number of days a week, and session length -- all are pivotal for yielding the best results.
Before you start any session, check the 9v battery. In addition, make sure all the gold-plated tips at the end of each "screw" are completely intact and properly seated. Turn on unit, and press the "TEST" button. Ensure the controller will move through each number, with additional punches of the button.
How to start:
1.) Adjust height of plate tips (only some adjust) so they just touch your face -- then, adding the gel should make the contact point just right. Check the manual here for advice.
2.) Apply a drop the size of a salmon egg to each plate.
3.) Place mask on face.
4.)Turn dial only to "ON"! Press "TEST". SLOWLY, VERY SLOWLY, turn the dial until you feel the pulsations. I would guess it will happen for you at level "2" "3" or "4". If you still feel nothing, slowly turn higher until you feel pulses at two points on your forhead and at the bottom of your face. This means the unit is working correctly, and just as important, is positioned correctly on your face. Keep on playing around until you've achieved positive results at the "TEST" level.
5.) Once you are satisified you are ready to roll, turn the UNIT OFF. Absolutely needed to re-set for the "real" program.Turn unit on again - just to "ON" position. Press "START". Slowly turn control dial up to the same level you were pleased at during the "TEST" sequence outlined in Step # 2. Adjust, of course, to where you are most comfortable. Check instruction manual too for advice.
6.) Rejuvenique will now cycle through all the points on its program. As it begins to move through its program, keep your hand on the controller at ALL TIMES, because some areas of your face will tolerate pulsation better than others. A good levelwill likely be '4' to begin your first attempts.
7.) The unit will shut off automatically when done.
8.) Clean off the used gel from the leads w/ a damp cloth.
9.) You're done for today.
I suggest waiting two days before you try again. Here's how you determine what is right for you. If you try to use the mask the next time, at basically the same pulse level as your 1st day, and the pulses are really irritating and uncomfortable, you have more than likely 'not recovered' yet. Wait another day. Unless you are ill, under tremendous daily stress, or have a poor diet, your face will almost certainly be ready within 3days.
I have never gotten to this point myself, even after years of use and assimilation to the appliance, but some folks can go daily -- just like the runners. The one true pattern which has emerged with my face is the following: I do it day one, say on a Monday. I prefer back to back sessions, one right after the other program is up. Then I take-off the next three days. That means nothing until Friday! Will you be able to do it sooner? Maybe. But not me. Then, possibly, I may need to rest my face only TWO DAYS before I'm at it again. However, when and if this occurs, I will probably revert to the original pattern, as my face won't take it. And this is a far cry from what the manual advocates. This is why I took a lot of time to explain. It works if you find the right thing for your body.
What works for you is what you'll have to discover. Just always remember to keep the pulses where they feel good, and to not ever over do it. Running the machine higher than is pleasant, or sooner than your face will tolerate, will definitely NOT make you look 12 yrs. old again! I've been there and done that -- you'll only look like hamburger meat. Unfortunately, there is no way to hasten the process. You can only go as fast and hard as your body will let you....just like running. Good Luck!
did u actually buy this?
"dont waste your money like i did mine" good, u deserve it since u actually bought it, its total BS...((Although I was only 29 when I first bought this product, I had began to notice changes that were not too great in my face. A loss of elasticity around
the "smile area" closest to my nose and also under my eyes. I saw subtle lines on my forehead also forming. I bought this product, and I myself didn't notice too much difference after a few weeks, but all of my friends did! The area around my mouth tightened and forehead lines as well! Also under my eyes. And to my great pleasure, I had developed a "sculpted look (cheekbones)" It's over 5 years later and I have not aged one day and in fact appear to have turned BACK the clock! In essence, it's a great price for a face lift! If you use this to firm your face, and Retin-A (.025%) for wrinkles (you have to get a prescription for this), I guarentee you-- you will never age another day. I do wish the system was a little cheaper, but it really works. At this point, I don't know what I'd do without it.)) ...wtf? do u work for Rejuvenique?
