5-0 out of 5 stars The Best by Far
I've used electric shavers for about 8 years now - this is by far the best. Light years better than Remington, for example, my last shaver. Sure, it needs care (discharging and recharging fully every 4 weeks,) but doesn't everything of value and good quality require care?

2-0 out of 5 stars It broke after 3 uses
I like the shaver. It's a pretty good one and I was happy initially
until it broke. The customer service guys were pretty good but it would take a month till they replace it. It was a pain and I wouldn't recommend it.

1-0 out of 5 stars It hurts!
I had very high hopes for this razor but unfortunately, I had to return it.I don't consider myself to have sensitive skin but the trimmer blades on this razor hurt.I've used my husband's razor plenty of times and like it alot but it's not cordless and I wanted something I could use in the shower but this definately wasn't it for me.Also, it's battery has to be completely disharged every four weeks.I wasn't looking forward to having to remember to do that.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very Satisfied!
I recently purchased this shaver and I am very happy with it. I normally use a regular razor, however now I am pregnant and am having trouble seeing what I am shaving. From the first time I used this razor I was happy with the results. (I used it on my legs, and my bikini area and did not get even the slightest bit of a rash.) The shaver got closer then I thought it would and actually made my skin "smooth" the first time I used it. I would recomment this product to any woman out there that is use to a conventional razor, but wants to try an electric one for convenience.

4-0 out of 5 stars This shaver works
Of the many electric shavers I've purchased over the years, this one is among the best.I bought it from Amazon in June 2003.I have sensitive skin and have never used anything but electric razors. The shaver cuts noticeably different on the "underarm" and "legs" settings and does excellently in both; amazingly, it cuts completely on the first or second pass.As to the "bikini" setting, well, I'm 56 and don't use/need that one. This shaver also holds a charge for longer than any one I've ever had; I've used it at least three or four times between charging. At the price, including no tax and shipping, this product really delivers. ... One of the most well-appointed Norelco Reflex Plus models, this shaver delivers a clean, comfortable shave made even more convenient by high-speed charging time. The Reflex Plus design combines a multi-directional flexible surface and individually floating heads for contour-hugging action. Like other Norelco shavers, this one uses Lift and Cut technology to gently raise whiskers then cut them cleanly for a super smooth, below-the-skin shave. Conveniently designed for corded or cordless use, the shaver produces 30 minutes of shave time on just a 1-hour charge and 3 minutes on a 6-minute quick charge. Two LED indicators help you gauge the battery's juice.

Handsomely finished in a platinum casing, the shaver has helpful structural details like a built-in hair chamber and full-width pop-up trimmer. Automatic worldwide voltage adaptability and a sturdy travel pouch make it easy to take on the road, while a protective razor head cap and cleaning brush simplify maintenance. Norelco backs it with a 60-day satisfaction guarantee and a two-year warranty. --Emily Bedard ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars It is just a OK shaver
I bought this shaver after I read the product review here. I've been using this shaver for several months now. It just a Ok shaver for price.

I am above-average hairy guy. Each charge only lasts probably 10 days for me. Again, the shave is not very close, just OK. I paid about 60$ for it... probably that's just what you could expect for the shaver around the price

4-0 out of 5 stars Nice one to travel with!...
Have owned Norelco rechargeables on and off since high school (back in the olden days when they were made in Germany). This one has the recharger in the unit and is good for 20 or so shaves each charge. It also is supposed to use any electrical system out there, though I have no real way of testing that statement. It's not going to give you a 'Trac-3' shave, but will touch you up just before that important meeting with no worries about nicks or razor burn.I bought 1 for my son and 1 for me to take advantage of a (...) rebate.(...) you may wish to delay your purchase until the next 'special'.One thing that should have been included was a brush to clean out those pesky whiskers that seem to clog things up.Looks like Norelco is watching every penny though, which may explain why this is now a Chinese manufactured product.

5-0 out of 5 stars the perfect gift for a perfectionist son
I bought this as a gift for my son at Christmas time.He is very happy with it and raves to everyone how well it works, how easy it is to keep clean and how well it performs. My son at age 24 is always concerned about his appearence, and strives to look his best at all times.Afterall he is single and quite hansom if I do say so myself!A perfect gift for that special male that is always hard to buy for.Lets face it, most males are hard to buy for!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great
This shaver was my first shaver and I got it when I was 15.I really like it because it gives me a close shave and doesn't irritate my skin hardly at all.The trimmer on the side is almost useles, but the rest of the system is outstanding. It doesn't take long to charge and can hold the charge for a long time.It is a great option for anyone to buy and I highly recomend it. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars I disagree!
The Panasonic ES8097A Pivot Head Pro Curve Linear Wet/Dry Men's Shaver with LED Display, Blue is the best men's shaver I've ever had the great fortune of using! My husband bought one to tame his wily beard, and ever since I borrowed it I will never pick up my lady shaver again (unless it's just for my armpits, hee hee!) Ladies, this is definitely worth the money. Now I'm not a man, but it's definitely perfect for my most sensitive and private areas. It beats plucking any day! Such a long and painful process! So many hairs! There must be a million! All over my shower! Now, if only it came with a monkey that swept them all up! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Has its drawbacks but worth it
This is my second Braun shaver. The first one was the lowest model with one blade. I loved them becuase I never cut my face with their foil design. The newer one is definitely superior with its design though.

Two blades make it faster to shave. It's washable, and has a longer run with one charge. It's not too noisy so that I don't wake up the whole house. It has a sturdy and compact travel box. Carrying the charging cable is not a big problem since it's also very compact. Moreover it's not necessary to take the cable most of the times, since one charge will most likely last longer than your trip.

However the Braun design has some limitations. First of all, foils are not that sturdy. They can bend and lose form if you are not careful in where you put the shaver and it falls into the sink for instance. The nice thing is that the replacement foils are available everywhere, and are affordable.

Another problem with the foil design is that it's extremely hard to shave if your face is moist. You'll have to wait for the bathroom to dry up if you want to shave after the shower, since the water vapor will stick to your face otherwise. Even more important (now I am re-experiencing, as every year), in a humid summer day you will need to push the shaver to your face, since there's no way to dry the skin. Maybe it's better to fall back to traditional razor in such days, but I hate cutting myself so I just stay with my Braun.

All put aside, I find one thing awkward. The small button that pops the foil for cleaning is placed just a bit above the on/off button. And sometimes (when I'm not fully awake) I accidentally push it to see the foil hit to the sink. So far (after 3 years) nothing has happened to the foil because of this, since it's extremely light. But it's still not the best placement of buttons.

The trimmer has worked fine for me. Many people are complaining about it. So I'll try to complain too. The only thing I don't like about the trimmer is that the space between the trimmer and shaver is hard to reach with the brush for cleaning. I guess I am being too picky with this last comment.

To sum up, I love my Braun shaver. It has been reliable for a long time. I'd give 4.5 stars if it were possible.

4-0 out of 5 stars Decent at this price
Shaves well. I don't use the trimmer much, but it seems to work OK for me. Three design negatives
cord doesn't fit in case
cord appears to have a 110VAC transformer so would need a special, more expensive cord for 220V. My previous Braun had the transformer built in to accomodat any voltage, so it simply needed a cheap cord for with European plug when I travelled.
the case broke after less than a year. The Braun cases are less well built than the shavers in general.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good shaver
This Braun does a pretty good job with very little irritation.Super close shaves require a lot of time and passes in which case it can irritate my face some. For those occasions I use Remington "Face Saver" and then the shave is irritation free.(every shaver I've tried irritates the skin if I try to go after a super close shave).

It's a little loud and buzzy (not as much as the Remingtons) but otherwise fine.I love the rinse clean feature.

4-0 out of 5 stars Less costly, but better than competitors
This is the fourth electric razor I've owned in my life; the previous three were Norelco, Panasonic and Remington.I never was satisfied with any of those razors, and while this Braun razor isn't perfect, it outshines all three of those more expensive shavers.

The battery on this thing lasts forever and charges very quickly.I really appreciate the hard case... makes it much easier to pack in my luggage without worrying about it turning on and freaking out airport security.

The cutter in between the foils does a pretty nice job of getting some of those pesky hairs under your chin, but I've never met a razor that could do that job without trouble.

Minor problems with this razor include a trimmer that is pretty much useless -- it should be facing 90 degrees away from the top of the razor, not straight up.It doesn't cut sideburns and doesn't do anything under the chin.

Also a problem:The "powder" from your shaved hair gathers under the sliding switch for the trimmer, so when you slide the switch forward, hair goes everywhere.Fortunately, the razor is fully immersible.

This is a good buy.

1-0 out of 5 stars A disaster of a shaver
I've had many electric shavers over the years (Norelco, Braun) and this is by far the worst.Had to replace the heads four times in two years; not only did they get dull, but individual blades started falling out. Braun Customer Service blew me off when I questioned this durability as being a lot worse than they claim. It's also noisy and vibrates some.I've always maintained shavers per mfr.'s instructions. Finally shaver started turning itself on at unpredictable times, including the wee hours, and since it's noisy this was annoying. I went back to Norelco. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars cleaner stinks up bathroom & breaks
The shaver is good, but I had to get rid of that awful automatic cleaner/lubricator; it was full of isopropyl alcohol and it made the bathroom smell like a hospital. Plus, it got stuck & wouldn't open to replace the little tanks of alcohol-cleaner. The whole cleaning apparatus broke apart & made a mess.

2-0 out of 5 stars Underwhelmed
I brought this shaver because I liked a very old (circa 1988) Braun shaver that I still have and that still works and on the strength of the Amazon user reviews. But I am underwhelmed, and now--6 months later--I see several mediocre reviews here! I agree with them. It does take a long time to shave, and I don't find that the shave is very close, especially on the neck.

The cleaning stand is nice, and hopefully it won't break anytime soon.

Perhaps I am asking too much from an electric. I bought a standard Norelco first and returned it for the money back guarantee. But my very old Braun did much better.

3-0 out of 5 stars Great shaver, costly upkeep
I agree with many of the reviews below: This is a great electric shaver -- if you're willing to spring regularly for new parts. I've had mine for about two years, and can report: The foil on the shaver really does wear out about every six months, not every 18 months. And to replace it, you have to buy both the cutting block and foil at a cost of about 30 bucks. And the charging/cleaning system -- a concept which, for my money, makes electric shaving worthwhile, won't last. The charging arm at the top more than likely WILL break, and you either have to go through the hassle of having it serviced, or buy a new stand for about 40 bucks through Braun. If all that is worth the convenience of using this otherwise nice shaver, it's for you. If not, save your money.

1-0 out of 5 stars Very dissappointed
I bought the 7526 shaver and am very dissappointed. The worst
problem is the shaving head doesn't stay on. It's very
difficult to use when the shaving head pops off. The head
attachment system if very badly designed. No matter what
I do the shaving head won't stay on.

If I had known that I never would have bought this shaver.

3-0 out of 5 stars Light weight shaver
I am a lightweight shaver.I received this shave as a birthday gift.I had to return the first on after 2.5 months at Target.Fortunatly the gift receipt lasted 90 days. The cleaning base broke but I think I waited too long to change the cleaning cartridge and it stopped up the unit.

The second unit has lasted over a year with no problems. It is really noisy and sometimes I have to wait to clean it until the weekend when the wife and I wake up at the same time.

The cleaning solution is more alcohol than lubricant, but if you wait a few seconds and let it heat up, it gives a nice Lemony scent while you shave. This is the biggest plus since I can't stand smelly shavers.

I do not have to shave but once every two days with a razor since my stubble grows so slow.I have to shave every day with the Braun electric because it does not shave that close. It leaves random hairs to be caught next time you look in the mirror and think, how did that hair get that long??

If I had a preference, I would have liked a different gift and just used a razor with gel for a cleaner cut.I give it three stars because for an electric shaver it sure beats a straight edge while on vacation. ... Read more

Amazon.com

Remington produced the world’s first electric shaver in 1937, and continues to be a leader in shaving technology. Titanium is the company’s latest break-through. When coated with titanium, blades stay sharper longer than stainless steel for an extra close, comfortable shave. Ergonomically designed with no-slip insets, this model features three ultra-flexing round heads that float independently to hug face and neck contours. Moreover, the heads are ultra-thin, which allows the blades to get as close to the skin as possible. A nifty one-inch trimmer pops up to define sideburns, mustaches, and necklines. An added benefit of this razor is that it can be used either with the 5-foot stretch cord or without, and features quick charge. A one-hour quick charge gives 40 minutes of shaving time, while a five-minute charge is enough for one shave. This model features a green lighted battery gauge that indicates remaining power in 20% increments, then turns red when only 20% remains. It also features a head replacement reminder light. Cleaning this razor is a breeze--squeeze the release buttons to flip up the head attachment, then blow, brush, or rinse out any stubble. A cleaning brush is included, along with a zippered, padded carry pouch and protective head guard. The high-performance turbo boost motor automatically converts to other voltages worldwide, making it great for travel. Remington covers the shaver with a 30-day money-back guarantee, and a two-year warranty against defects.--Ann Bieri ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars good buy....... needs patience!!
Got the product and started using it right away.. the first few days were painful.... now the skin has gotten used to it...the charge indicator is excellent. It gives a close shave without applying much pressure, but I found it difficult to get a few hairs out in the chin area... do not know if it is because of the shape of my chin... which is not an unusual one.. overall an excellent product.

3-0 out of 5 stars Good shave but....battery looses charge quickly.
Have used Norelco shaver for several years and was ready for a new shaver. This Remington looked very similar to my Norelco and had many of the same features and was 1/2 the price so I decided to try it. While I was impressed with the quality and the close shave I found that the battery lost its charge very quickly even when it was not being used. I returned it for another unit and it did exactly the same thing. So it seems like they are having some battery issues with this model (9270)! It is not quite the same quality as the Norelco, but for the difference in price it is definetly a good value. Now it is a question of how long this battery will last. It does have a 2 year warranty, so I would make sure I kept my receipt.

5-0 out of 5 stars AS GOOD AS IT GETS
While no electric will shave as closely or smoothly as a regular safety razor (try the Schick Quattro)this Remington comes in as a close second. Aside from a great shave, there is no razor pull or burn and no break-in period with the Titanium head. Although the head is a wee bit awkward to open, once mastered, the razor is simple to rinse and easy to maintain. While I would not dribble on a basketball court with this or any electric, it is constructed sturdily and should provide a long life. Remington must have given this baby serious thought and the result is a splendid product. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Not as good a previous generation
I bought the model 7735x and was not ver happy with this model.Loved the previous generation that was made 2 years before this. The attachment was poor quality. The shaver head has a yellow rubber piece that keeps the flip spring in place, once the yellow rubber piece falls out and the spring pops out, you'll having nothing but trouble.

I has not happy with my shaver and sent back to Norelco for repair since I live overseas, they sent me a check for $80.00, this model sells here for $99.95?

I like using the shaver in the shower and I will spend the extra money to get the next better Norelco shaver, the reviews seem a little better.Norelco has always gave a good shave, but the quality of the shavers are not as they once were.

4-0 out of 5 stars Not as close as a blade, but good
I have been using this shaver for about three months and I think it is a good product overall.

Forget what Norelco says. I am a former Gillette MACH 3 user and this shaver will not shave as close as it the blade did. If you cannot stand anything less than a blade, this product is not for you.

On other hand, one will face fewer cuts when compared to the old fashioned way, which is the actual reason why I kept it. In the long run, the skin gets a bit smoother also.

I have tried using it with shaving creams other than those compatible with the unit, with no luck. My advice is to stick to the Norelco HQ170 Cool Skin Nivea for Men Lotion Replacement Cartridge. You will see far superior results.

If you want to save some time every morning, avoid cuts, and have a shaver that works well in the shower, this product is an excellent option.

4-0 out of 5 stars as good as my mach 3
This razor is great. I have used it both out of the shower and in.It works good in both settings.I like it better than the mach 3 because with the cool skin i can go against the grain and with my razor i could never do that. Now my face is really smooth.

4-0 out of 5 stars Cost Cutting Makes This Otherwise Good Shaver Fall Short
For years I've had a difficult time getting a close shave and a shave with minimal irritation.I've tried several of the Mach 3 variants with little success.Against or with the grain the Mach 3 would miss random places on my throat (especially around the adam's apple).I quit the Mach 3 even though the shave was otherwise close because the irriation it left made me unable to make a second pass.My Norelco Reflex Action series left me high and dry. That's right, it didn't cut anywhere and left me burnt all over. Most days it looked like I didn't even shave.

Angered over years of horrible shaving, I decided I would treat myself for my birthday.I was seriously considering Brauns and Panasonic's high end razors but decided against it because there was no clearly outlined guarantee if it didn't get as close as I'd like.Norelco on the other had advertises their's quite well and after reading a few reviews, I decided (...) I would take the plunge.

Here is my take after using a dry electric shaver for the past 2 years plus a weeks experience with the 7735x:

Pros:
1. Gets darn close for an electric. Not quite Mach3 but more then satisfactory. It does miss a bit around the adam's apple but nothing I can't live with.
2. Leaves me with almost no irritation. In fact, I can shave 3 times a day with this thing if I feel like it!Very impressed on the combination of closeness and lack of irritation.
3. Very easy clean up - just run under hot water.
4. Nivea lotion packs are easy to load and administer while shaving. They also really contribute to the feel of the shave.
5. The shaver itself is well built and sturdy.
6. Quiet.

Cons:
1. Cost-Cutting abound!!
2. Cheap charging unit that does not automatically shut off after full charge is reached!
3. Ni-Cad batteries.
4. Cheap Strap for letting the shaver hang out and dry.
5. Cheap/useless carrying case.
6. The shaver's "cap" falls off too easily.
7. Norelco recommends you run the shaver to empty before recharging. This can be a big problem if the battery runs dry and you need to shave - there's no way to plug the shaver into the wall and use it.
8. I can't for the life of me (and after reading the instructions 5 times) figure out how to get the shaving head off to put the trimmer attachment on.

Despite its near endless line of drawbacks, you do get a good shave with the 7735x.I couldn't stop rubbing my neck and face after the first shave (and it seems the shave gets better the more I use it).Oh yeah and the shocking part, I look forward to getting up at 6am just to shave! Yeah!

5-0 out of 5 stars A cut above...
I actually have the Norelco 7737x (exact same as the 7735x, but a longer battery life). The reviews I read here gave me a pretty accurate perspective, so I was not at all disappointed in the razor. Yes, it is a little complicated to remove the blade Assembly (pop it up, then pull them straight up). Yes, the lotion dispensing button is a tiny bit challenging to operate (I just use my index finger and it isn't that much of a problem). Yes, you end up taking longer showers (but hey, it feels good :)). However, despite all that, this is an amazing razor. Before I got the Norelco, I was using a Remington 950. What a difference! Before, I used to get all this reddish irritation under my neck, even after using the product for over a year! I also used a Mach 3 whenever I wanted a really nice shave. This shaver out-performs them both. It is so easy to use, and the Nivea really does make a difference. I prefer to use the shaving lotion, it is just more comfortable for me, but the gel isn't bad either. I fully expected to use up my pack after one week, but my first lotion pack lasted for 17 straight days of shaving! (About 6 pumps per shave). I have had the razor for 21 days now and the first time I recharged it was yesterday! The battery wasn't even low! About shave quality - it doesn't cut quite as close as my Mach 3, but it comes really close - especially with the lotion. My skin feels very smooth, even going against the grain. However, you definitly do get a shadow by the end of the day. Another plus, I have almost NO redness after my shaves, a welcome surprise after the Reminton. Bottom line: I HIGHLY recommend this shaver to anyone. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Does not replace a blade
I bought this based on the reviews here, and found it didn't meet my expectations. I expected it to replace using a blade to shave with, and it doesn't. I been using it for about a month now.

All this shaver does is cut down most of the hairs without it being as painful as using a blade, but I end up having to use a blade to get a clean shave. The good thing about this is that when I do use the blade afterwards, it's painless because I'm shaving very few hairs at a time. I have very coarse hair so using a blade is usually painful, and why I wanted to get an electric shaver.

The other major problem is as people here have reported, the neck of the recharging stand doesn't remain clicked down into position to allow recharging. It pops up 1/8th of an inch and disconnects itself from the shaver. This happened IMMEDIATELY when I tried to charge the shaver for the first time. I managed to work around this by removing the spring inside the neck, but this fix only lasted 5 more recharging sessions until it once again refuse to click all the way down into position.

The last complaint I have is that it does not shave under the chin and neck AT ALL. It just catches they very tips of the hairs occasionally. I tried pulling the skin taught, shaving from different directions, and nothing worked. I must have run about 50 passes over the skin and still all of the hair remained.

Fortunately though, using a blade here is not painful for me and the blade is very effective, getting all the hairs in 1-2 swipes.

So the only thing this shaver did for me is to cut down some of the longer coarse facial hair around the cheeks, above the lip and around the chin, where a blade would be painful to use. Then I go back and cleanup with a blade, rather easily and painlessly.

I'm looking into another shaver because this one is definitely not worth the money I spent and is defective.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Top shavefrom a Top Shaver
I have never been able to get a decent shave from a disposable, or a so called"Blade"shaver , without looking like I was attacked by FreddieKreuger.
Suffice to say, after a year using the 7000series togetherwith the totallyexcellentcleaner, I can definitively say that this Braun does a great job, cutting through tough beard hair, as well as treating sensitive skin very well.
The Blade, foil, and swivel head all work brilliantly together to give the best results I have ever had.
It is not cheap, but it is worth the money. If you have a growth of a few days, it is best to start of with alight setting, or just basically learn the way yourbeard goes, the directions of the hair, and use the shaver in an appropriate manner. The only way this will ever cut you is if the foil is damaged, and that is very rare ( I have found).
It works well as a travel shaver, and cuts through almost any length hair with the trim. If you work sensibly with the shaver, it does a great job. I can testify to that basicallybecause mybeard hair is very coarse, but my skin is extremelysensitive. When Used properly, this Braun provides a superlativeshave with minimalfuss, and is a precisioninstrument as one would expectfrom Braun, and it delivers on allpromises.

3-0 out of 5 stars Great shaver, but the cleaning base WILL break on you
I love the way this shaver shaves. The shaver itself is an extremely well built-product that has lasted almost 4 years.Other reviews do a great job describing how well it shaves, so I won't repeat them.

There are two caveats I need to point out:

1)The cleaning system also works great but is pricey (about $60/year for the cleaning cartridges), so it's much more over time than the cost of the shaver.

2)The cleaning base has a neck that presses down on the shaver to start the cleaning process that is prone to breaking. It lasted about 2 years, and then refused to stay down.Fortunately, Braun's repair facility in San Francisco replaced it.Then a year later, it broke again.I called Braun, they asked for the serial number to determine whether it was still in warranty, then authorized a repair. The SF repair facility this time insisted on repairing it rather than replacing it.It's now a year later, and it's broken again.I'mgoing to place another call to Braun, and hopefully they'll say that I'm still under warranty.Make sure you're close to a Braun authorized repair facility, since shipping it back is a hassle.

Because of the problems with the cleaning base, and because Braun has now come out with the new, similarly priced Activator line (that still has a cleaning base but doesn't have the arm that breaks), THERE IS NO REASON TO BUY THIS SYNCRO SHAVER ANYMORE.BUY THE ACTIVATOR LINE!

If Braun refuses to fix the base under warranty this time, I will definitely not pay to get it fixed (since it'll break in a year anyway) and will buy the new Activator, even though I hate to reward Braun for selling me a defective product.I may look into getting a Panasonic shaver, but since I'm otherwise so happy with the Braun, I'll probably just stay with Braun.

1-0 out of 5 stars Lousy Shave, Bad Cleaning System
I am convinced that a lot of these reviews are written by people on the Braun payroll. I've had the system for about 18 months. It never did a good shaving job. It missed a lot of hairs. Now the cleaner stopped working and I am stuck with all these extra cartridges and replacement blades. Shame on Braun. They used to make a good razor, but not anymore!

3-0 out of 5 stars shaver foil flaw
This is an awesome shaver. I bought 1 for my husband 2 years ago. The only flaw we have found is that after a few months the shaver head gets minior holes in it that tear up his face when he shaves. There are replacement foils, but its kind of a pain to send away for it ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Tender Face for the strong of heart
I have been a Tenderface fan since it was in larger, solid plastic bottles and generally available. In the past frew years it has started disappearing from the shelves of Osco, Albertsons, Walmart, etc.Their regular product, while very good always makes my face itch or break out.And the price here on Amazon.com is very reasonable.Having no idea how long Williams Co. will continue to support this product, I have started buying a few times a year, 24 at a time. After all, the "born on" date doesn't matter, it will stay good for a very long time.

4-0 out of 5 stars A must have product for your shaving kit...
About two weeks ago, I purchased the Braun Activator 8585 Series Electric Shaver.I firmly believe that the 8585 is the best electric shaver on the market today; but, like all electric shavers that I have used, I was having problems shaving my neck and jaw line.I came across William's Lectric at a local mass merchant, and I thought I would give it a try (btw, William's is $2.00 cheaper on Amazon). The next morning, I splashed some William's on my face and neck, and went shaving.Amazingly enough, William's actually worked!I was able to get a much closer shave around my neck and jaw line.Granted, the shave was not as close as a Mach 3 (for me, no electric shaver will be); however, the shave was much closer than the previous times I shaved without William's.In addition, the shave was more comfortable and it also has a refreshing scent.William's is economical; just a few drops go a long way for me, so the cost per shave makes William's very affordable.

With that said, William's does have some drawbacks.First off, if you have mild-to-moderate sensitive skin, you might want to avoid this product because of the alcohol base. When I go to put William's on, I some times end up with more in the sink than my palm, as the pour spout's design leads to spillage.

All in all, William's is a must have product for your shaving kit.

5-0 out of 5 stars great compliment to my new electric razor
I was already getting the best shaves ever from my new Braun 8585. However, I came across Lectric Shave on Amazon and bought it at Target. I'm not certain that my shaves are any closer with Lectric Shave, but I can say that it makes shaving a little bit easier (i.e. a little less time trying to shave those hard to get whiskers).

My only complaint is a minor one. The liquid comes out of the bottle a little to fast. It sometimes feels like I'm wasting some or making a mess. In any case, I'd recommend giving Williams Lectric Shave a try.

4-0 out of 5 stars Packaging needs improvement
I purchase Lectric Shave because it does a good job; however the packaging needs improvement. If not corrected I may have to change to a different brand.
PROBLEM:The alcohol in the product gets on the name (Lectric Shave) and the colors imprinted on the bottle and these colored bits begin to come off in pieces. These pieces get onto the hands while holding the bottle and transfer to the face while patting on Lectric Shave.Sometines it is difficult to remove all the pieces from the face.

Possible solution: Have the name and other data impregnated into the material making up the bottle.

5-0 out of 5 stars Good for your face
I first found this product at Walgreens and decided to try it. I soon found it was easier on my face than the regular lectric shave and the fragrance was more pleasing. Since I bought the only two bottles they had, they have not replaced it. I'm glad I found it at Amazon. It also costs less at Amazon by about $.80 per bottle. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Broke after 2 days
The whole thing fell apart in 2 days. As far as performance is concerned, it shaved just as well as my other shaver. Although, I should also mention that it sometimes actually hurt - like it was pulling the hair out. Maybe I got a dud, but I think you usually get what you pay for.

1-0 out of 5 stars It worked less then 1 week
It came on time as promised. Nice looking device. Right of way I noticed that the on/off switch is not working correct. I had to slide back and forth to turn it on and when was finally on the RPM was fluctuating. I was satisfied with the performance of the blades, a nice, smooth shave while it worked. Unfortunately the shaver quit working all together after less then 1 week of once a day use. I changed the batteries, cleaned the blades, nothing. Is this a lemon I got or they all the same?? I bet there is more customers like me that don't have time or don't care to write about it.

5-0 out of 5 stars SOLID
Overall really quite a good razor.......
Not appropriate for long growth.
Wish it had a rechargable battery but that would obviously raise the price.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good raisor for $10.
I've bought this one at CVS and liked the results; Titanium Turbo was my first electric shaver. The shave was close and my skin got less irritated then getting a shave using Schick razors I was used to.It seems that the mechanism isn't entirely waterproof, after rinsing the razor each time after a shave and letting it dry it stopped working on the second set of batteries.I could not open it up to see what was inside bit I suppose it was due to too much rust or the mechanism got dirty.Over all I think it is a nice electric shaver, not irritating and does not require shaving cream.I give it four stars because I think it should have lasted longer, it only served me well for two months. For the first timers this is probably a good razor to start with.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent shave when face prepped
So far I've had excellent close shaves using the T2 using Afta pre-electric shave. I did not use Afta for the first shave and the shave was mediocre.I am not sure how long the batteries, foil, or blades last. The batteries are replaceable though.Four shaves - so far so good. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars good shave; don't like the power switch
The 7825XL, 7845XL, 7865XL and 7885XL models are all basically the same razor, differing only in the way they display battery/chargingstatus (anywhere from 1 LED to a complete tiny LCD display). The shaving peformance is fine for me -- not as close as a wet shave but that's a good thing for me personally because the closeness of wet shaves makes my face break out.Every 3-7 years I buy a new Norelco and they get incrementally better each time.

I'm writing to warn about one feature.Every shaver I'd had up to this one had a physical slider switch to turn it on and off. This models has a push button. This means you can't tell BY TOUCH whether it's on or off. This is critical for me because I usually shave in the car (sitting in traffic) with the stereo blaring and I can't hear the shaver (especially since the newer models are pretty quiet).I turn it on and off a lot as traffic conditions change.

Further, when the battery is low, my previous shavers would just run slower and slower until they came to a gradual stop. This one slows slightly (imperceptably to me, really) and then just "falls off the cliff" and stops cold.So you don't get any warning really that it's about to run out -- if I knew it was running down, then I'd shave a lot faster!

And this is where the tactile power switch feedback is important:if the battery's totally drained, but I'm not done yet, I'll leave it off for a minute and then turn it on for 5-10 seconds of shaving before it dies again. With the push-button power control this is really confusing because you're never really sure what's on and off.It turns out the the power button is like a pulse that gets sent to an internal microcontroller (I'm guessing), so after it's been off for a while the power "position" doesn't matter, it's really off.You just push to reboot the thing.

So, my 7825XL was robbed out of my car last night and I'm buying another one of these, so I guess that's an endorsement. But I'm bumping up to the next higher model with better battery status indication ...

4-0 out of 5 stars Satisfied with my new Norelco 7825
Just bought this shaver after my previous 10-year old Norelco gave up the ghost. It is definitely an improvement. It's lighter weight, better grip, muuuuuch quieter, retains trimmed hair better, and is easier to clean. It does a somewhat better job shaving. As with all electrics, you have to go over the same area a few times and in different directions, but this razor requires less of that.Overall, a great shave.

2-0 out of 5 stars fancy, but maybe too fancy
i own two norelcos: this one and a cheaper/older one. i recieved both of them as gifts, and i have to say that the cheaper/older one is much much better. i dont know if it is because of the later design in the head (rather than having the slits all around, they now have slits and holes), but this one always tears up my neck like no other. i've never had a problem with with the older one, or even blades without shaving cream! it holds a great charge--hence the two stars.

as far as the trimmer goes, its easy to open, but at the same time it likes to close on me in the middle of my trimming... my older one didn't have this problem.

5-0 out of 5 stars Works Great
The shaver does a good job at shaving and feels son nice on my skin. I dont have like a full grown beard or anything, but what i do have (wiskers) it cuts it right off, and makes it short enough for me. The shaver does not get a "against the grain shave" like with old fashoned razors. The battery life is amazing. So far, the inital 4 hour charge has lasted it 3 weeks. All the hairs are collected beneth the razor in a nice compartment and washable under the tap (if needed). ONE downside: it recommends that you change the 3 Heads, once a year. There 40 dollars from Norelco. (check your local listings). Over all, The portability is nice and does a good job for My wiskers.

3-0 out of 5 stars Did not shave close for me
This unit is well designed, quiet; feels good in the hand and super-easy to clean. The shave was comfortable and did not irritate my face. The price is quite reasonable. Unfortunately it didn't shave close enough for me. If I made many passes I could get a close shave but would find that by 4pm I would need to shave again(not that my beard is so heavy). Like all electrics I've used it does a sub-par job under the chin and on the neck. I've decided to send it back and go back to my Braun. Right now I've used the Norelco and then finished with the Braun, which even with year-old blades is much closer and just as fast.

This is electric shaver number five for me (4 bought thru Amazon). I started ~15 years ago with a norelco 5xxx series, and was satified for a few years. Despite changing the blades (perhaps my beard got tougher)I became dissatisfied with the shave. I switched to a Braun 5000 series which was noticably closer with the exception of the neck which required many passes to shave adequately.

The Braun lost it's edge after about a year or two, and I decided to try one of the Panasonic ultra-high speed, wet-dry units (10,000)strokes/min. I got a good deal on a close-outunit. I liked the build and the wet-dry feature, and the ease of cleaning, but I found that this shaver irritated my skin. I went back to the braun, and later upgraded to a Braun 7526, which I bought refurbished without the cleaning unit. It does a superior job and next time I upgrade I may buy the unit with the cleaner. It needs new blades yearly for best results, and it too doesn't do a great job with on my neck; but everything else is excellent. ... Read more
