Boudreaux's is the Best
I found this product 5 years ago at a local pharmacy. I am so happy that BRU carries it now (I have twins due in 7 weeks). The price at BRU is much better than the pharmacy price. My son used to get bad rashes and this product would usually clear up a rash within a day or two. I introduced it to my pediatrician and this is now what he recommends. It's simple, Boudreaux can't be beat!

Stick the baby in place with Butt Paste
Yep if your baby has a tendency to make rash movements, then this paste will cure the problem. He/she will become irrational. For lots of squirmy babies they make this paste comes in a tub. Ah paste-orial bliss.

LOVE THIS CREAM!!!
My daughter had a combination yeasty/irritant diaper rash appear a little over a 4 months ago. The doctor prescribed several creams and the rash would disappear only to reappear within a day. I was losing my mind. I wound up making a special cream that my doctor had given me the recipe for. Unfortunately it didn't work and the battle of the diaper rash continued on.

I tried all sorts of other creams (Weleda, Burt Bees, J&J, herbal salves...) and this all ended when I bought Boudreaux's Butt Paste! I put on one application and the rash was reduced to a slight pink area near the rectum. After the next application...Tada!! GONE!

It has been 2.5 months ago and my daughter has not had a problem with diaper rash since. I have reccomended Boudreaux Butt Paste to all of my friends battling with diaper rash problems with their kids. They are all converted! Love the cream.

As for the comment about not knowing the percentage of zinc oxide, it's right on the tube and in the information provided on the product page above. The cream contains 16%. Some children may have a reaction to the Peruvian Balsam. None of the babies that I know who are using this cream have. It's in the same family as vanilla and cinnamon and contains essential oils similar to those in citrus fruit peel.

I suspect that if you are sensitive to these oils your child may be too. Just like any product, use your best judgment.

I have tried so many brands. This is by far the best. I still have to try triple paste but my daughter who is one year old has an inner thigh rash that won't go away even with doctor prescribe medicine. Since i started using this stuff it has been alot better.

The best baby lotion ever!!!
I have used this on my daughter since she was born in 2002.A little goes a long way, and the smell is so soothing and mild.
She used to look forward to our 'after bath routine' of the lotion and a massage.
Just a note:Most pediatricians will tell you NOT to use lotion of any type on your baby for the first couple of months.The reason is that the baby needs to adjust to the outside world (i.e. produce their own body oils) and lotion can interfere with that process.
I also HIGHLY recommend the Aveeno baby bath. It is the only one that did not irritate or dry out my daughter's newborn skin.

The Good Stuff
We normally use Desitin but if one of our sons has a diaper rash, we reach for Dr. Smith's.We call it "The Good Stuff" because it quickly cures rashes that other products can't cure.

Best I've Found...
I received a sample of this product from my pediatrician after my daughter had such a terrible diaper rash. She had been on antibiotics and ended up chapped and sore. Nothing I had found worked to clear up the rash. I went to the doctor concerned that she might have had a yeast infection; luckily she didn't. My pediatrician offered me a sample of Dr. Smith's and a coupon. He warned me that it might be hard to find the product and it was more expensive than most. Well I ended up using the small sample with immediate positive results and ordered more from Dr. Smith's website. I'm thrilled to see that Dr. Smith's is available through more outlets. Change in product formula
Beware that the decades old formula (manufactured in the United States, yellow in color, with a sweet smell) for this lovely cream is no longer available. The company is now using instead the formula from its German manufacturer, which is white in color and has a medicinal odor. The new cream seems to do the job, but it's a more run-of-the-mill product, its special character gone.

Pricey, but good stuff
Granted, our baby has never had a diaper rash, so I can't say if it would work well enough under that circumstance. You might want to get the heavy duty zinc oxide stuff for that. But for everyday use, this cream is nice. It's very soft and smooth, spreads very easily, and if you get some on your hand you'll think you were using a fancy hand cream. It has little if any smell, and the smell isn't medicinal, which is a plus in getting my husband to change the diapers. Yes, it's expensive, but my infant seems to like its soothing properties and she poops A LOT, so that's important. ... Read more

Nice scent - easy to apply/remove - works!
I have used A&D with zinc on all three of my children, the youngest of whom is now 10 months old.I could no longer find it in stores, so I tried this through Amazon.com

Very impressed!Pleasant, mild scent (resembles Noxema), excellent rash protection, thick but not gooey, easy to remove.More affordable than A&D or Desitin ($3.99 for 4 oz)My new standby!

Desitin's new rival!
I have always preferred Desitin to other brands because of the high percentage (40%) of zinc oxide.I've finally found another...and it's made with goat's milk too!

This diaper rash cream is very thick and protects the skin extremely well, the fragrance is an added bonus.Even though this comes in a smaller container than Desitin, it IS cheaper as well.

My baby's butt is happy
I'm a convert.This stuff completely did the trick on my newborn son's diaper rash.His behind was cherry red, he was screaming at every diaper change, and if you're a mom or dad, you know how much it pulls at your heart strings to see them miserable.After one use there was a huge improvement, redness was down, and he wasn't fussing during the diaper change.After the second use it was barely noticeable there had ever been a problem, and now he's doing great.Diaper rash is gone.Oh, and the oderlessness is a VERY big plus.No annoying "calming" smell (I hate lavender) whatsoever.Great stuff.

Works great without any scent.
The cream seems to do the trick well on our infant when she gets diaper rash.Most Zink Oxide creams stick to the fingers and stink.Bordeaux's Butt paste worked well, but the scent is not appealing to me (although my wife didn't mind it).I have no idea how Aveeno's cream is really odorless, but it is.I like it more than anything else ... although I have not splurged and bought Summers Lab tripple paste.I figure if it isn't broke, don't fix it. ...
