Helpful hint for easy application
When I first started using these I couldn't believe how hard it was to use.It was very frustrating how it rolled up almost immediately and it dried up very fast because it took so long to apply because I kept having to unroll it.Then I got the idea of keeping it folded, and then unfold it a little at a time while applying it.You have much more control over it, it doesn't roll up at all, and it is faster to apply it so it won't dry up so quickly.You still have to use 2 or 3 to cover your whole body but it is definately easier this way!

I'm hooked
Gone are the days of the tanning salon - as well as spending countless hours baking in the sun - for me. I'm 30 and it's about time to wise up! I tried these the other night, and am very impressed. Although it def. takes more than one towel to do your whole body EVENLY - that doesn't bother me. I'm pretty small/thin - and it took 3 towels, the first time - but I wanted to make sure I did every area as evenly as poss. Within hours, a nice color began to form, went to bed and woke up with a very nice base tan for Mem. Day weekend. Now, on my olive w/ yellow undertones skin - first application was med./dark and noticeably TANNER. I did notice some streaking, but it was very faint, and only because I was not as thorough as I'd thought. So I went over just my arms and legs again, last night and am VERY pleased, this morning.The smell, compared to other self tanners, is minimal and tolerable and comes when the tan starts to develop, I did cover it up w/scented lotion when I went out - I've used other GOOD brands and have been literally sickened and overwhelemed by the smell. And couldn't mask the stench to save my life! Won't ever use them again! This is no fuss - clear towels- can do it and get dressed 10 min. later and go to bed.

The key with these towels, while they do roll up on you and can be difficult - is PATIENCE. Take your time -cover each area as thoroughly as poss.I read a good tip here, when doing backs of hands, hold towel with a cloth or tissue over it to avoid the palms. And if I have to use more than one towel - so be it! It saves me from frying in a tanning bed or spending long hours burning in the sun. Those things aren't safe and will make me look like a leather sofa, before too long. And that's no exaggeration. Air-brush tanning at a salon is a luxury and I will use it for special ocassions - just so expensive.

So maybe this (Comodynes) tan isn't the exact tan you'd get at the beach - I usually tan diff.in the sun - nice deep, golden olive - this towel give me more of a reddish tonedtan - I don't care - it looks real and doesn't look orange on me, at all - I'm pleased and hooked for the summer!!

More like a tint than a tan
After reading several rave reviews about this product I figured I'd give it a shot.Prior to using this I got the Mystic tans at the tanning salons.They were fabulous but could get very pricey ($20 a session which lasted for a week).I used those as a basis of comparison for this product.

I did follow the guidelines for getting one of these temporary tans.I exfoliated in the shower and put on Cetaphil moisturizer over my entire body (the BEST lotion I've used to date).About an hour later after I was fully dried I used these wipes.

A couple things I didn't like right off the bat.The wipes are kind of flimsy and tended to roll if fully opened.There was also a weird smell from them, nothing that I couldn't tolerate.

The wipes advertise that your tan will show up in 4 hours.Mine really didn't show up at all.I know that sometimes you have to use a couple before you really see results, so I gave it a second chance.Even went as far as using two in one day (one in the morning and again in the evening).That gave me minor color ...nothing remotely resembling the spray on tans I had come to love from the salon. Oh and that minor tint disappeared in 2 days (not the four days they said I'd get out of it).

Well what else to expect from a product that is only $8?The only at home tanning stuff I've had any luck with is the Neutrogena instant bronzer, which isn't salon quality but at least gets me somewhat tan.

If you don't believe me then try it for yourself ...maybe you'll have better luck.Everyone is different.

Used them for months
I've tried some of the bottle tanners and majority of them left me orange looking, I quit the bottles and tried these comodynes tanning towelettes and they've been great. The color is natural looking, no bad smell or anything. I only use them to tan my face, arms, and hands and I've always gotten good results.

I apply mine by unfolding the towel, I start on my face and then do my neck, then I wipe both arms down to the wrist, then I wash my hands real good and hold the tantowel with a bathroom towel or toilet paper and then tan my hands; it's worked great for me, I haven't experienced any coloring on my hands by doing it that way.

Exfoliate and moisterize your skin first, doing this can add a few more days to your tan!

Tan Towels
This looked so good on T.V.that I ordered these single use tan towels.While the resultant color was good, it took more than one towel to cover the whole body.Additionally, the towels roll up as you use them so several times during the application you have to stop and unroll it before you can continue. worked like a charm
Worked well enough that the least I could do was post a positive review.No streaking, no annoying odor, went on evenly (no streaking whatsoever, despite claims to the contrary), and the best part - no staining on clothing or bedsheets! Just to try it out, I did one arm and one leg... was so happy with the results that the next day I did the other arm and leg, figuring it would take a couple tries to get both arms/legs the same color... but it developed into a perfect match.

Nice color, horrible smell and streaks
Ok, so i was so excited to finally get my tan towels, but due to either my mismanagement or something, i have streaks-- especially on the first leg i started on.My left foot also came out very stained looking...i guess i need to perfect this method. I did like the color in the morning, but a warning to you: it SMELLS. it really really does.

I am going to try again tonight, but at this point unsure if i'll buy again.

Easiest Self-Tanning Product on the Market!

Fabulous, glowing tan!
This is the best all around self tanner I have ever used, and, frankly,I've tried more than I care to mention.It has provided my fair skin with a fantastic glow throughout the summer.The towls are excellent for an even application, no streaking or discolorations (my two cents on streaks - it's called "user application error" 99% of the time!).Unfold the towl slowly while applying to ensure optimal use of the product over larger areas.Does not cause my skin to break out like some of the heavier lotion type tanners, particularly as I use regularly on my face.I noticed no sustained odor, or issue with staining clothing.I highly recommend.

WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED!
I saw these advertised on QVC and was curious enough to give them a try. WOW... I was very surprsed with the results and the ease of use. It only takes about a minute to apply to your whole body and it really does dry instantly. I will warn you though that it will take 2 to 3 towelettes to cover your body. I have fair skin and it took 3 applications to get the color that I was looking for. I originally bought a box of 10 towelettes and used 8 of them to get a nice looking tan. But after that, it just takes 2 towelettes every 5 to 7 days to keep the tan. Overall, I highly recommend this product for anyone who wants an nice golden tan. Just as expected.
I didn't want a dark tan, just some nice color.So my wife and I both tried it.My skin turned out nicely, almost a natural tan color.My wife found the same results, she's fairer than I am, and it was fine except that when she washed her hands some water must have dripped onto her leg and it left a smear-drip mark.That isn't Neutrogena's fault...just be careful until it is dry.

Other than that I'm pleased.Not perfect, of course, but worth 4 stars.

When I first tried this product nothing happened, so I decided to try the product again, putting on more than one application. It worked, and I achievedan almost natural coloring. I had to apply a third application before the product started to take on the look of real tan. I like the way the product looks after three layers. It doesn't look too dark, just like a light, natural tan. Depending on the cost of the product, I'd use it again. It takes so many applications that a bottle is used up quickly. The tanning solution doesn't stay on the skin for very long.

I have used sunless tanning sprays in the past and have always had bad luck with them. Usually they were very orange in color and hard to apply. Well, that isn't so with this product. It's very easy to apply and my hands didn't turn orange after rubbing it in. It also has a nice fragrance. The bottle says that the color takes about two hours to develop but it took longer (more like 4-5 hours). The downside to the product is that I hardly noticed a color change in my skin. It was very vague. It definitely didn't make me look like I had been at the beach all day. I'd recommend this product if you want to look like you have a hint of color but not if you want to look like a sun-drenched beach babe.

The Neutrogena Sunless Tanning Spray is an excellent product. Currently, it's winter in Indiana, and the Neutrogena Sunless Tanning Spray gives my skin an excellent glow. It's a pleasure to use because it has a wonderful fragrance, and it dries fast on my skin. It makes my skin look natural, and there's no horrible streak. The Neutrogena Sunless Tanning Spray is an excellent product to use, especially for people who live in freezing weather.

I've found one that works!
At first I did as the directions said and did not rub it in - BIG MISTAKE! However, the color was nice and it lasted through my workouts and showering after about 4 hrs of using it. So, I tried again, instead, I blended it. This seemed to work. I've mastered a routine of how to get the best results. I spray my arms first, rub it in, wash my hands. Then I do my chest and torso area, rub it in, wash my hands. I continue this doing my legs from the knees down and then from the knees up. I did find that I was coughing after I did this, so I bought those face masks that doctors use and it seems to help. By the way, the smell is quite pleasant. From someone who has tried several alternatives, I'd definitely recommend this product (but make sure to rub in!).

Big Mistake!
I was so excited about the possibility of a good spray tan. HA!!This turned out horrible! There were spaces all over my legs that didn't turn out. There were drip marks in some places. It was so splotchy. I was just glad I only did my legs and not my whole body. I had to wear pants for a week and a half! Yes, I did exfoliate before hand, but that didn't seem to matter. ... Much better products out there
I don't know why I give this product two stars. Perhaps out of some brand loyalty - I used it for so long before I knew I could do better and I love most Neutrogena products.Perhaps because I still think that using this sunless tanner is better than baking cancer onto your skin.
Anyway, as an instant bronzer, it gives a nice color and is easy to apply. It drys quickly on your skin so you can dress quickly,It also washes out of clothes w/o staining.The trouble is that if you are not careful around areas with tough skin (elbows, ankles...) it appears much darker and unnatural looking.I have also noticed that, after a day or two, it tends to fade elsewhere and stay behind in my pores/hair folicles (especially on arms and legs) leaving a dotted effect that is just plain weird.I have to really scrub in the shower to get rid of it.The biggest problem is that it doesn't stay on. It washes off as soon as you shower (or worse, jump in the pool!) - so don't use a light colored towel.Umm, just don't swim at all!! I have also noticed lovely dark brown sweat in the creases of my elbows when I work out.This loss of color is even after waiting the recommended hour (infact, even after waiting several hours). As a sunles tanner it just doesn't work.I have never noticed a tan develop, even after days of repeated application.It is a bargain tanner - so try it if you must - maybe it works differently on different types of skin.ButIMO Loreal has some better products at about the same price. ... Works better as a spray
This tanner does all it says it will, but I find it gave a splotchy result, where as the SPRAY tanner worked perfectly.
It is oil free which is very important to me, and it doesn't make you orange.It's natural looking even on your face.But it's hard to control in lotion form.I spent a great deal of time trying to get an even coat.The first time I used it, I really didn't see any result.Two days later, I tried it again.It worked, but there would be some areas where it would be very dark and unnatural.I noticed this in bends of my body, like the underside of my knee, or my wrist.I also washed my hands with soap, but they still came out yellowish.Also, places you can't reach that well, or see (like the back of your arms, or your back) don't come out even at all.You almost need another person to help!I also waited the 5 minutes suggested before getting dressed and my white bra turned totally orange from it.ICK!
However, the actual product is great, only skip the lotion and go right for the spray version.I'm totally happy with the spray.It goes on much faster, and the bottle will spray even when upside down, which makes those impossible areas a breeze.I've never had any uneven results and it even seems to wash off my hands easier.I use it every 3 or 4 days and I'm very happy with it.No more lotion for me! ... Used Once, so far, so good
Ok, I don't have any time to tan the usual way, so I decided to buy this product. I finally used it last week and applied a very small amount on my arms and legs. I could tell that my skin color had changed but not by much since I put so little on. And there were streaks on my arm but only because I did not rub it in well. The rest of my body, however, did have an even color but did not last. I didn't really notice that the color was orange, the tan appeared normal to me. Tonight I am going to try this again and apply more this time. Hopefully it won't turn out bad, if so, I'll be back to re-write this review. Wish me luck! ... Read more

There is NOTHING Gradual about this tan
I am a very pale person, so I thought I would try this product as it clearly stated that it was to "build a tan", that it would not streak or turn you orange. WRONG!!!! There is NO WAY this gradually adds colour to your skin. I am BLOTCHY AND STREAKY AND ORANGE!!! Even the girls at the Tim Horton's drive through noticed how bad it was (it is so bad I am using drive-through because I wont get out of my car)

I did everything I was supposed to, I used exfoliant made specifically by Neutrogena for pre-self tanner, I used a downward motion to apply the creme, I even let it dry properly,but having my arms and legs propped up and letting it airdry for 45 mins (although it says it dries in 5).

It may work for those who are already dark, but 100% did not work on me properly. ... Read more
