Too much energy
As far as curbing my appitite, this really worked! What I didn't like is that it gave me so much energy that I couldn't fall asleep at night! The bottle says to take 2 pills in the morning and 1 during lunch and 1 during dinner. I started to even skip the one pill during dinner and I still couldn't sleep so I just stopped taking them all together.

Didn't Work For Me
I used Trim Spa for 30 days including eating healthy and exercising 5 times a week and Trim Spa still didn't help me at all.I thought if anything it would give me more energy and help control my appetite.I can't say that it even helped with that.I even bought the carb and fat blockers to go along with it and still no impressive results.I can't say I will waist my money on this again.

Worth every cent.
The hardest thing about diet pills is trusting the word of someone you don't even know. I would understand this completely. This is why I'm recommending this:

Best part about it: TrimSpa absolutely takes away your appetite. It almost makes you forget about food in a safe, non-ephedra way. Within the first week your belly goes down and you feel in control of how much you eat...with confidence.

Choc Royale my favorite
These are great as a meal replacement/snack.Low carbs, high protein.Best one I've had of it's kind.Slim Fast and many others have too many carbs.
Not too sweet and not chalky.Definitely shake well before drinking and I do like it better as cold as possible. Sometimes I'll stick it in the freezer for about 10 minutes or so before drinking, but that's not necessary to enjoy it.

My son and I both absolutely L O V EAtkins Choc. Royale Shakes. Shake Well and serve over crushed ice, that is my favorite way to enjoy these delicious shakes.The Endulge Carmel Nut Chew bars are great also, they taste like a deluxe Snickers without the junk added.

Tasty Shake
This is a very creamy shake thats not too sweet but sweet enough to make it very delicious. It should be served very cold must be shaken well before consumption. Also unlike other shakes it doesn't produce gas as an after effect.

One of the Best If Not THE Best Weight Gainers
I'm a "hard gainer" and putting on weight, any weight, be it muscle or even fat, is tough for me. The upshot to that is my weight is pretty stable. When I was in my late teens I went into the hospital for a 30% spontaneous nemothorax (collapsed lung) and had to have an operation. Anyway, my mother was concerned I'd loose a lot of weight, but I hardly lost any, nor did I gain any weight. After my operation my mother asked the doctor what she could give me. He said I just have "a very efficient matabolism", but suggested Ensure as it had a lot of calories. Well, I drank it and didn't gain any weight!

I'm in my 30s and am 5'6" and *used* to weigh in at 120 lbs. Then I got really serious about gaining weight and adding more muscle to my frame. Following the advice of a couple of online bodybuilding gurus (Will Brink being one of them) I increased my daily food intake and supplemented that with a quality protein weight gainer, creatine and workout regimen (using a Bowflex XTL with squat attachment) and I'm gaining muscle. After a few months I now weigh 135 and counting. I'm gaining about 5 pounds a month. My goal is to reach about 150-160 and then trim down to about 145-150. It's important to understand that you will gain some fat when you are trying to gain muscle mass. It's inevitable.

I've tried GNC's Pro Performance Weight Gainer 2200 and MLO's Mus-L Blast 2000. While I liked the taste of GNC the best (chocolate) it's overpriced at roughly $35 for 6 lbs. Mus-L Blast was a relatively good value when I bought it at Rite Aid, but I didn't like the taste (chocolate) at all. Another thing about these two weight gainers I didn't like was the fact that a lot of the calories you're getting in these weight gainers are in the form of sugars...a lot of sugars, especially with GNC. I was feeling tired during the day and couldn't understand why. Excerising should make one energetic, but I always felt drowsy.

Because I was still doing research on weight gainers I was willing to try different ones after my supply of the current one ran out. I was shopping for another weight gainer even before I ran out of the Mus-L Blast because I didn't like the taste at all. I'd drink it really fast because of this. Then I read about Pro Lab's N Large 2 and liked the fact that it doesn't have a lot of sugars and contains more protein per serving. ... bucket it's not cheap, but it is a decent value, especially when compared to the others I've tried. The taste is not as good as GNC's, but is much better than MLO's.

You can find N Large 2 cheaper online than at The Vitamin Shoppe, but if you have a local Vitamin Shoppe near you it evens out when you factor in shipping. Luckily I do have a Vitamin Shoppe near me within a couple miles. The online prices are the same as the local store.

I may still try other protein weight gainers, but for now I'm on my second bucket of N Large 2 because I really like it and it's a good value. The other thing I like about Pro Lab is that they are straight forward in the marketing of their products. There are some weight gainers that tout 4000 calories per serving, but when you read the back label you have to mix it with a gallon of whole milk! Who's going to drink a gallon of milk in one sitting! Even GNC's marketing is suspect. They say 2200 calories per serving, but that's a massive serving too...something like 7 massive scoops of powder mixed with 2 or 4 cups of milk I think. When I used GNC I only mixed one scoop of powder with one cup of milk twice a day. Currently I'm mixing 2 scoops of N Large 2 with 1 cup of 2% milk twice a day with good results. ... Read more

Very good berry granola bar
This bar is a good, solid granola bar, with berry bits throughout and a vanilla coating on the lower half of the bar.The inclusion of oats and other great ingredients (as well as no trans fats) makes this a tasty snack to fill in a hunger gap.
THe bar does not taste 'synthetic' like a lot of bars--it has a good flavor and mouth feel.You shouldn't have any unwelcome side effects from eating these (I didn't) and most folks will be able to stay in ketosis even with this bar as a treat.

Not a no-brainer.
I ordered a week's supply not so much to shed weight (though some toning is definitely in order) but to insure that I'd have something resembling a balanced diet.My low-carb recipe books were collecting dust due to a busy schedule, and the glass of orange juice at breakfast, Snickers bar at lunch, and quick pizza before retiring were doing nothing for my energy and endurance.

I eagerly opened the box and was immediately taken back by the paucity of instructions (a single sheet) as well as by their very general nature.Besides eating the Nutrisystem products, I was being instructed to supplement each of the 4 daily entrees with items such as "1 Fruit Serving, 1 Milk/Protein Serving, 1 Low Glycemic Carbohydrate Serving, 2 Vegetable Servings, 2 Fat Servings."

What gives?What if I ignore the supplements and go exclusively with the Nutrisystem Diet contained in the box?Will I end up dangerously malnourished?How much of the protein, carbs, and mdr vitamins and minerals can I depend on getting out of the products I received?And if they're not sufficient, how can I insure I won't get carried away once I start supplementing?

I went to the website and found lots of charts and daily schedules for conditioning, yoga exercises, aerobic work-outs, etc. (I'd be more inclined to use that time to prepare the low-carb recipes) but very little about the food "program."Even a promised "check-book size daily planner" never arrived.

My hunch is that my thirst for knowledge about the "system" behind Nutrisystem would be satisfied if I ordered the monthly plan or purchased the $16 book from Amazon.For what it's worth, I found the vacuum-packed food to be quite edible if not always tasty or filling (though the inclusion of items such as oat meal made me wish I'd customized my order).In sum, the Nutrisystem system along with the telephone and website "counselors" are whatever you choose to make of them--potentially more beneficial than another diet book but not by a whole lot.

Enlightening and Tasty
My one week of NutriSystem foods was a true eye opener in terms of portion size! Wow! I must have been eating 5+ portions of cereal each morning--and assumed I was eating 1-2.Same for all of my other meals.No wonder I need to lose weight. :)The food was actually quite good.One supplements it with low-fat dairy, fruits, veggies, and sometimes additional carbs.All of the meals are planned around "healthy" carbs and the glycemic index.Very cool.I found the women's program didn't really provide me with enough to eat, so I just switched to the men's program and still lost weight.The food is pretty good. It's not as expensive as it seems--if your eating habits were anything like mine.I easily spent this much on groceries and restaurants during the week.The program comes with an exercise booklet and a "MindNourish" booklet.Both are quite good.You'll also receive a checkbook like diet log...where you check off your meals, log water and exercise, and track your weight.

I was really impressed with the completeness of the NutriSystem program--and the research behind it.Plus, the food was pretty good too.Comparable to typical store "Brand" food.I recommend the one-week for those interested in trying NutriSystem without committing to a longer time period.

Oh, if you don't eat pork (I don't)... this one week program did not contain any. Which was a bonus to me.
